i wanted to know more about crying during bani/simran/kirtan etc is it like a bad thing then? like i can never stop crying like i cry everyy day! like maybe during simran or reciting bani or like during kirtan, it's just when i get this sort of realization and this great feeling that i cannot comprehend and it's when i come to KNOW God, my God, my Guru, it's like hard to explain!! but it can range from a few tears rolling down my face to like uncontrollable sobbing, sometimes i even have to get up and leave darbar because of it no.gif ; i try not to cry and stuff but like it can't be helped! so like can anyone sort of explain anything?

this is a good thing! There is absolutely nothing wrong with crying during kirtan/simran/bani. This shows that you are deeply moved by Guru Ji's shabad. Sometimes I can't help but cry when I listen to kirtan or do simran because those are the times when I realize the most...just how great my Guru is. So don't worry...crying is good! It shows how much you desire to be with Guru ji....Vaheguruuuuuuuu :)

That's good. Human beings are emotional animals and it shows you have emotion. Now, the next step is to channel that emotion into 'caring'. Caring about others...caring about the earth etc and using that emotion / caring for something positive.

It's showing you the magnitude of your love. Even a painful life journey can cause a human to fall in love with God, because it's all Him. Love Him in every form he takes, it's all just a khel and lessons.
