gatka = a martial art

shaster vidiya = knowledge of weapons

gatka is shaster vidiya, but shaster vidiya is not necessarily gatka

Shastar= able to battle with the mind

Shaastar= able to battle with weapons

Vidiya=Science of

GurNanak=Shastar

GurGobind=Shaastar

Even though both knew how to use both. They both have one that they used the most or more of.

Guru Nanak could defeat his enemies without drawing a weapon although he could also defeat with a sword.

Guru Gobind mixed both also even though most people already wanted to battle with a weapon so he had no choice but to wield the sword as his weapon most of the time.
