Nothing wrong with movement if it helps them to connect during simran - as long as they are being truthful and not showing falsehood. it doesn't take very long for others to realise if its just for show.

not necessarily, in guru ji's time singhs use to do paath and ardas eyes open at full alert, incase a moghul or some enemy had snuck into guru jis darbar dressed as a singh to cause trouble... they were able to focus on simran aswell as be aware of things around them

how many people actauly go into smaadhi when they do simran, very rare. the point being to go into smaadhi u dont have to have your eyes closed

Dont ppl sway their bodies to feel teh rythem and teh beat. Because teh kirtan instructor i go to.. moves his leg to keep up with teh beats! SO i dotn think its wrong or anything

WE have no right to tell anyone that his her way of getting close to guru ji is wrong..or his her way of doing simran is wrong .. if its appropriate and not to wild to the extent we start dancing .. then its wrong .. but aside from that .. having ur eyes closed .. moving around a little .. nothing wrong wit that !
