raju veer je

i dont kno to much

but if someone wre to ask me if they shud cut hair, laser surgery, etc

i wud say i dont think thy shud do it

y

because guru je said never cut ure hair

a dirct hukam for guru sahib je

as for ure opinion on correcting our hormones to a way god made it, i wud think that we shud keep extra hair if we have it

because it was god who is giving us thos extra hormones

somethings r not to our understaning

or we cannot understand because of our spirtual stage

the higher our spirtual stage gets, the more knowledge and deepeer understand to WHY

guru je was perfect

if they said dont cut ure hair

i wont

thas my first answer

im sure there are other answer like it gives u eenrgy, or its our natural saroop, ya im sure there are reasons out ther

but the main one for me is guru je give hukam

thas it for me veer je

I really dunno wat to say Gupt daasan daas veerji. If a girl is facing rejection even from her family for the way she looks and is denting her confidence massively and due to which she is probably silently cursing God in her hearts for having made her in such a way. I personally think it is inhuman to see a person suffer in such a way.

I think I am sure when Guruji referred to kesh, he referred to leaving the normal hair untouched and not referring to some facial or unwanted hair in women. But if he said that in context of a battle then he might have meant every single hair because there is no point in making yourself beautiful for the enemy.

well raju veer je, i can see wat u r saying

well if this is wat someone wud consider suffering, there prem for vaheguru is not as strong as it shud b

and a tru sikh is neither affected by slander or praise

if we mould our life to wat other say, or do, we are in falseness

if we mould our life to wat guru je has said, we are in truth

this world is false

if we belive wat it tell us , we cannot acheive vaheguru

if tomm people start riucling her about her dastaar, shud she take it off

if then they ridiucle her aboutkirpan, shud she take it off

wat if one day it goes to length of her bhagthee

and i kno of extremly seveer cases where it did go to bhagthee, but the bhenjee had more pyaar for guru je

wat wudwe do?

wud we listen to this world

or wud we hold our faith in vaheguru and guru je strong

wud we rather listen to people or vaheguru

if someone really curses god in ther heart, ther prem is not real

perhaps this is a test

to test ure prem

maybe u in previous life u made fun of someone for having kesh, and now u hav been punished for soeone making fun of u

who knws

i dunt

i dunt kno the REASON

becuas eofmy spirtual level

but i do kno

someone with prem,, tru, will not be affected by others

she will not care about wat people say

she will realise the natural beaty outside and within

as for kesh

guru je said leave all hair untouched

likei said veer je

we cud think of thousands of reaons y bhenjee might have extra hair

but thing is it depedns on ure faith and prem

how much u have

it will be tested in ourlives

i kno bibis who have gone through extreme ridicul from her family as well,a nd stll her pyaar for guru je did not change

we must b like that

no matter wathappens

we must let our prem for vaheguru be stronger

2 be honest. I wud say the reason for why most bibiyan usualy shave of facial hair is because of mainly peer preasure. I've seen this myself (including Amrit Dhari Bibiyan) when they start 2 produce facial hair the people around her dnt really support much. Instead of encouraging them not 2 worry they purposely take the micky. (Amrit Dhari's can be involved in this too).

If Sikh Bibiyan just ignore these comments and stick their mind 2 Guru Ji then they wouldnt even think of hurting Guru Ji by cutting their hair.

Sikhs, both men and women are not to cut their hiar, get piercings or tatoos beacuse we belive that the body is beautiful as it was made. It has become a social norm that men are to cut the hair on their head but grow it on their body, but women are to grow the hair on their head but cut it on the body. I personaly do not cut my hair, get piercigns or tatoos, not only as a Sikh, but as a human being.

What if you had your ears pierced at a really young age (where you didnt know that piercings werent allowed in Sikhi) and as your older you stop wearing ear rings and are moving towards becoming Amrit Dhari. Is that ok?

Did Guru Gobind Singh Ji actually state that Sikh women had to keep kesh aswell?

I believe he didnt thats why he created Kaur (princess's - who should take pride in their beauty) and Singhs (Lions - who are fierce warriors)

Guru Ji didnt create Lioness's did he or am I wrong?

5 K's are part of the martial uniform of the khalsa.

Kacha - Shorts -For Mobility in battlefield.

Kara - steel braclet -Defence for Arm against sword attacks

Kirpan - small dager -Defence for self and attack enemies

Kesh - Hair + turban - Provides a cusion and helmet effect against strikes of enemies sword.

Kangha - Comb - to manage the hair.

Khalsa was and is more physically entity than spiritual in significance.

dude are u serious???.... if in sikhi we believe in equality why would he say one thing for males and another for females?... and are u sayin a female with facial hair doesn't have beauty?... tha's wha's wrong wit todays society..they're too focused on how a person LOOKS...

guru jee said KESH.. which is from head to toe... keep it ALL... the dastar isn't ONLY for protection...
