Rain and floods have washed away kedarnath and thousands of peple have lost their lives.however it is ironical that govt. of india is fearing to announce death of thousands of people in uttarakhand.Recent media coverage has shown mountains filled with dead bodies and hotels, houses, roads totally collapsed. Biggest destruction is seen in kedarnath which is an important religious center of hindus and yatra to kedarnath has been banned for 1 year because everything there has been washed by flood and cloudburst. Many temples and shrines have been washed away becaise of their location near water. An world famous statue of shivji has also been washed away.It is an unbelievable destruction that has occured in minutes. 60 villages near kedarnath has been totally washed away. Bridges on the way to hemkund sahib are also collapsed and sangat is without food electricity and water. All this has been named tsunami of mountains by CM of uttarakhand because this was an unseasonal rain and not that of monsoon. Monsoon will arrive after 25 june in uttarakhand
