  1. Those images of being sawn in two , crushed on wheel , scalped alive, boiled alive, burnt alive, chopped limb by limb , etc seems very painful. Did they physically feel that pain or as one hazur sahib singh told me that they would take their consciousness in Dasam dwar and would not feel any pain. First, if they did feel the pain , then that means Guru's mercy was not with them during their death moments ? But then on the other hand if they didn't feel pain , it means their martyrdom isn't that significant ? Or perhaps I think case could be they knew they would suffer too much but still surrendered themselves to executioners , but then when the tortures began , to their surprise, they couldn't feel it .
  2. Whether it is saw sawing off Bhai Mati das ji, or being boiled alive of Bhai Dayala ji, or being burnt alive of Bhai Sati das ji, how are they reportedly so calm when infact all hell broke loose ? Is it spiritual strength or something ? Do they feel physical pain when undergoing such mindboggingly horrible shahadats . I have always wondered do they not feel the pain or do they feel it as much as we would do but they just suffer for sake of guru . How can someone be so fearless . Is there some resource on this ?

  4. Can this be confirmed that Bhai Jagtar Singh Hawara has been moved from the Punjab to the Delhi Tihar Jail? Amritsar, Punjab (March 10, 2013): In a press statement sent to Sikh Siyasat News (SSN) the All India Sikh Students Federation (AISSF) President Karnail Singh Peermohammad has criticized Indian government for confining Sikh prisoner Bhai Jagtar Singh Hawara in a jail cell where Kashmiri youth Afzal Guru was confined before execution. Afzal Guru was reportedly executed by India on February 09, 2013 outside his cell. Bhai Jagtar Singh Hawara Peermohammad has maintained that Indian Government is attempting to mentally torture the Sikh political prisoners. He has cited a number of instances to prove that India is practising psychological techniques to weaken the will power of Sikh political prisoners. “Indian Government deliberately prevented doctors from removing a bullet from the back of Shaheed Bhai Satwant Singh in order to keep under continued discomfort and pain. It was a form a torture on Bhai Satwant Singh” Peermohammad has maintained. “One day Bhai Satwant Singh was able to nail-out the bullet bearing immense pain and sufferings” he added. Peermohammd has further stated that: “Mistreatment and mental torture meted by Indian state to Professor Devender Pal Singh Bhullar has turned that intellectual personality into mental patient”. “AISSF strongly criticize the Indian government for mistreating Sikh political prisoners including Bhai Daljit Singh Bittu, Bhai Kulvir Singh Barapind, Bhai Jagtar Singh Hawara, Bhai Balwant Singh Rajoana, Professor Devender Pal Singh Bhullar and others” reads the statement. 6. This happened last year , Shaminder singh sheara who was the only amritdhari singh in the pind and the sole bread earner of the family was illegally picked up by punjab police (on the grounds that he was a babbar khalsa operative). http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DHztKW1YRpY http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xfvBTgy1a2k&feature=relmfu We all know torture in punjab is nothing new , but after he gave this interview to the media and approached the high court, he was eliminated by punjab police which used a new tactic this time - sending local goons to kill him with swords ---- after struggling for his life for 10 says the singh merged with the divine light people still have doubts that we need our own nation ?
  7. 11th June 1982: Exactly 30 years ago Phase of false-encounters, illegal-abductions & detentions, custodial torture, enforced disappearances, arbitrary executions, secret & false stories of escapes from police custody, blatant use of laws like TADA, rape, murder starts in Panjab. After more than three decades (1978-2012), millions of sacrifices, attack on most holiest & sacred Darbar Sahib-Akaal Takht Sahib and other 124 Gurughars, Sikkh Genocide (1984), then facing these fake-encounters and the latest shahidi of Bhai Jaspal SInghji (March 2012) we are still at crossroads !

According to Veer Singh’s family, their son was arrested and taken into custody for questioning by Inspector Rajesh Sunehi and 20 others on the afternoon of the 8th. The family claimed that they received no news of his whereabouts until the morning of the 9th when an unknown individual named ‘Mangat Singh’ dropped Veer Singh’s corpse off at the Barnala civil hospital. Responding to the family’s allegations that Veer Singh was tortured and killed in police custody, Inspector Sunehi plead ignorance. According to the police, the 17 year old youth was taken to a railway station and released the same night of his arrest and suspicious death. The court appointed magistrate, Jaswant Rai has since taken statements from all parties involved and said that appropriate action would be taken once results from the postmortem report are made public. The Punjab Police, notorious for it’s human rights violations, was responsible for using brutal methods to crush the Sikh Independence Movement in the 80’s and early 90’s. According to Amnesty International, “thousands of ‘disappearances‘ or extrajudicial executions were allegedly carried out by the police as part of a deliberate policy to eliminate armed opposition groups as well as their supporters.” Despite the end of militancy, extrajudicial executions and disappearances have not stopped in Punjab. The examples of Shaminder Singh Shera and Sohan Singh who were tortured and killed in police custody in 2011 are ample evidence of this fact. Reacting to the allegations of custodial murder, Moninder Singh, spokesperson of the CSC, demanded that an independent investigation take place to apprehend Veer Singh’s murderers and punish them accordingly. He went on to say that, “corruption, a lack of accountability, and discriminatory policies and tendencies against minorities breed a culture of impunity within India’s security forces. It is this culture that encourages police officers to torture and kill innocent people.”
