  1. SSAJI, I would like everyone to understand the power of prayer. Protesting farmers in India are suffering greatly by having their hard earned livelihoods decimated, for no reason but to inflict misery. Odds are stacked against them and there is no resolution offered. Can I please ask that everyone sets aside time everyday to pray sincerely for their plight. I would also ask that we all pray for the lifting of this curse on humanity labelled covid. Humbly yours, in Wahegurus name, Kuriji?
  2. Has anyone had any similar experiences by doing 5 sukhmani sahib?
  3. WJKK WJKF Whilst reading Jap Ji Sahib I had a thought. Where Guruji states No power to speak, no power to keep silent. jor na mangan dayn na jor. No power to beg, no power to give. jor na jeevan maran nah jor. No power to live, no power to die. jor na raaj maal man sor. No power to rule, with wealth and occult mental powers. jor na surtee gi-aan veechaar. No power to gain intuitive understanding, spiritual wisdom and meditation. jor na jugtee chhutai sansaar. No power to find the way to escape from the world. jis hath jor kar vaykhai so-ay. He alone has the Power in His Hands. He watches over all. naanak utam neech na ko-ay. ||33|| O Nanak, no one is high or low. ||33|| Guruji is stating that we have no power to do anything, so we ultimately Waheguru is controlling everything as we cannot. So if Waheguru created this play and everyone inside the play is controlled, why are we then judged “good” or “bad” when we die or go to “hell” if Waheguru has control over us and we have no power? I am not trying to create an argument but just confused as to how we have no power but we also get judged? Phul Chuk Maff
  4. ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਜੀ ਕਾ ਖਾਲਸਾ ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਜੀ ਕੀ ਫਤਿਹ I found this video and Bhai Sukha Singh ji talks about 2 times he witnessed the power of Hukamname. Could Sangat here also share some Sakhis and what Hukamname have done to your life or inspiring Sakhis that have taken place in others lives. It really builds Sharda in Maharaaj so would appreciated a lot. ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਜੀ ਕਾ ਖਾਲਸਾ ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਜੀ ਕੀ ਫਤਿਹ
  5. Why are Deras seeing so much success in Punjab? My family particularly has been going to a small dera for generations and having recently gone back to Punjab, I've seen so much anti-gurmat things at these kind of places. I especially noticed that the Radha Soami dera leader has immense influence in the Doaba region. I see his photo in every other house/shop. Is there rise in power correlated to Sikhi getting weaker? Are there any ways to combat Deras in a non-Taliban approach? Lol. Is there a way to make the people understand and critically think why their supporting these Deras rather than going towards Sikhi? I've personally tried to point out the anti-gurmat ways of the sant my family worships and they think I've been brainwashed and pretty much stop me from saying anything negative against "Babaji" saying that he's done alot for the family.
  6. This is a real incident. In Delhi, a girl had some health issues. Something came to her mind and she asked her father if they can have Guru Granths sahib ji’s parkash and path at home. Father said why not and this was scheduled. The girl listened to the whole path with true love and faith, when it was at the end, she thought I have heard that if you listen to bani with love, your mental and physical pains are vanished, but I am still the same. At that moment, the girl got sick, suddenly started throwing up, and bunches of “keerhe” came out from her stomach and she re-covered. This is the power of Gurbani, if we are true in paying attention.
  7. Hi I was wondering what do Sikhs believe about words and the power of words? Is there anything in Sikhism or your holy book that says that a person's or a Sikh's words have creative/magical/fatalistic power? Like if you say something's going to happen to you or someone, then it will happen? For example, if you were to say, "I'm not going to pass that exam" or say something you were worried about happening, by you saying it, does it make it happen? Is there anything taught about that in Sikhism?
  8. Waheguru Hope everyone watches this video of Giani Thakur Singh Ji talking about the power of Gurbani and Simran and how people have benefited from it. Also Giani Ji tells how we can benefit our self. Waheguru
