    Challenge of a Hindu

WGKWGF After reading a BBC article on Hinduism, me and my Hindu work colleague were discussing idol worship. I was saying, how could an idol, something made of stone or clay, do any good to anyone? Isn't that wrong? He responded, "if idol worship is wrong than Guru Granth Sahib Ji is worng, because Guru Granth was written by a man, called Bhagath Dhann Jat, who worshiped idol and stones just like Hindus"!? I told him, i would become a Hindu if it's true! Than he showed me how Bhaai Gurdas wrote in his Vaars about the Bhagath who actually did worship stones and made offerings! What do i do?? How do i respond?
