  1. VJKK VJKF, just quick question. I am a semi professionall athlete for my local running club. Im a amritdhari who regualary suffers from joint pain during long distance races and training. Recently, I started using a new external cream for my skin and joints which contains glucosamine, aloe vera, coconut oil and other healthy ingredients. . However after using it I found out that another ingredient within the cream called MSM contains a certain amount of shelfish amongst other normal ingredients. I am coming to the end of this small tub and want to ask sangat if theres any suggestions for any different types of knee pain creams? I prefer the creams instead of the tablets incase I internally consume anything which may have meat or gelatine type ingredients. VJKK VJKF

  5. Hello folks, I need some help. I have become very emotional again, as I think about some crazy things. Which I don't want to tell, as it is a bit weird. I feel that I changed as I grow up. I used to remember my self as being goofy, and happy when I was little, and now I feel that I changed. Some emotions had happened to me when I was in grade 5 I got bullied cause of being Indian, and in Grade 6 I was sad as most of my friends go to different school, even though I meet them at each other houses. I keep surfing on the internet, and when I see tragedies, it effects my mind. I don' t know what to do man.

  8. How many of your Singhs and Singhnis out there like to grow your own vegetables. My neighbours on either side both their own vegetables and sometimes I feel I should do the same but I am too lazy. Went to the local supermarket and bought some Spinach and green beans, when I looked at where they were grown one said Kenya and the other one Spain. Unless you are buying something like pineapples and bananas, why does vegetables that can be grown locally have to come from so far away.

The increase of oxidative stress with aging and chronic low grade inflammation is not only a pathogenetic mechanism of cardiovascular disease and cancer in humans[8,9] but also a mechanism of age related bone loss and sarcopenia.[9,10] The high amount of lactose and therefore D-galactose in milk with theoretical influences on processes such as oxidative stress and inflammation makes the recommendations to increase milk intake for prevention of fractures a conceivable contradiction.

I don't think this is good for health long term. This is rarely talked about at the moment, but I think these devices should be used with care to limit exposure. There are some tips to reduce exposure: Used wired internet access through an Ethernet cable and turn off your wifi capability from the router (you may need to go online to do this, its not as easy as just plugging in an Ethernet as it continues to transmit, please check it) Keep mobile phone calls short or use a hands free kit, use speakerphone, text Keep mobiles far from your body if possible, turn your device to airplane mode (or switch off if not using it) Don't sleep with your mobile near your head or body (turn on to airplane mode or even better switch it off) Use a corded phone, its safer When sleeping turn off cordless phones, wifi and other electrics as much as you can. even alarm clock radios close to your head transmit Use laptops on a table, try not to put them on your lap. Countries consuming the most milk products also have the highest rates of degenerating bone disease (like osteoporosis), heart disease, breast cancer, allergies, diabetes and multiple sclerosis. The United States consumes more dairy than the rest of the world put together and yet has the highest levels of osteoporosis and weak bones in the world. Milk does NOT put calcium in our bones- it does the opposite- it PULLS calcium from our bones making them weak, soft and brittle. Why ? Because dairy products are acidic to our body, which forces our body to protect itself by pulling alkaline minerals from wherever it can get it- namely our bones- to neutralize the acids. This ironically leads to calcium deficiency. Cow's milk is not the same as human milk. The calcium in cows milk or cheese is not the same as calcium from organic plant sources like leafy greens (that's where cows get their calcium !) Milk and cheese are the leading cause of arthritis, constipation, allergies, asthma, colic, sinus issues, heart disease, ovarian problems, anemia, insulin-dependent diabetes, cataracts, obesity, congestion, lung problems and even cancer. Homogenizing milk makes fat particles so tiny they go through the intestinal mucus, directly into the bloodstream where they become an alien substance ( like hydrogenated oils or margarine) that he body doesn't know what to do with, it so it accumulates in the arteries, joints, heart and other organs. Pasteurized milk is dead food. Calves (baby cows) fed pasteurized milk normally die after 8 weeks ! Even if you drank it raw, you wouldn't want to. Most cows are sick and diseased. They are milked by a machine causing blood and pus to be in the milk. When a human drinks milk, only half of the protein is used, the rest becomes foreign protein in the body... and foreign proteins are the number one cause of all disease in humans. It puts a serious strain on the kidneys ( the kidneys of a meat eater or someone who drinks milk or eats cheese) has to work 3 times harder than the kidneys of a vegetarian. They ultimately turn to stone. It's very hard on a baby because the kidneys aren't even fully formed yet. A 12 year Harvard study of 72,000 showed those who drank the most milk (3 or more glasses a day) had more bone fractures than those who drank very little. Where do cows and horses, goats and elephants get calcium ? From grass. Greens have more nutrition than almost anything on the planet. The best way to make greens digestible for humans is to put them in a blender with some fruit. That makes all the nutrients instantly absorbable.   23. WJKK WJKF Sadh Sangat Ji, whenever i go to the gurdwara and eat langar i have to choose between daal or sabji. I absolute hate daal (not of the gurdwara, but in general) and i always take the sabji, especially if its something with paneer, then ill go crazy. Also if there is daal made at home I eat something else. So somebody told me that daal is healthier than any sabji, and now im in a dilemma. Please tell me that mattar paneer is better for health then daal. :'(
  24. So i was reading the discussion about langar in the other topic and remembered the sakhi of this sikh couple who would do seva in langar and then eat langar every day. I think they were told that langar became like a payment from the guru to them so they were advised not to consume langar all the time. I might be wrong as i was very young when i read that sakhi. Anyway, so in our gurdwaras usually there is langar leftover after everyone has eaten. There is mad rush to fill tomato tins, Tupperware etc with langar to take home. As we know many people are struggling with expenses, should we be promoting langar to non Sikhs? There could be a list of people who sevadars could send the leftover langar. It would be better than us lot overeating langar. We used to do this at our old location, there was an old peoples home nearby and we used to send them the food.
  25. sangat ji i am underweight due to health problems. my digestive system is weak and have nausea everyday. and i am also suffering from depression. i dont know what to do. i have tried many gurbani methods told by mahapursh like doing 40 day sukhmani sahib paath and other jugtis. but nothing has worked out so far. i have seen many doctors but they just tell me its depression and stress. i am really sad, sometimes i cry i can't help it. why waheguru is not helping me or listen to my ardas. can guru ki sangat help me in anyway? i would really appreciate your humanity thanks
