  2. FULL NEWS: http://singhstation.net/2017/01/sikhs-donate-100000-three-hours-amritsar-project/ A live TV fundraiser for the Amritsar Visitor Centre, a project by Basics of Sikhi, saw a remarkable £110,000 donated in under three hours. Aired on 22nd January 2017 on the Sikh Channel in the UK, Europe, Canada and the USA, the fundraiser was done in support of Jagraj Singh, the Basics of Sikhi founder and the visionary behind the Amritsar Visitor Centre project, who is currently battling stage four cancer. The aim was to bring in enough money to buy a site in Amritsar next to Harmandir Sahib, the holiest shrine of the Sikhs, where visitors can learn about the Sikh faith and the history of the area.

  4. Superkaur highlighted positives and negatives and potential improvements to the format of Basics of Sikhi videos. Agreeing with some, not all of her points I would like to ask how the Sangat here feel Jagraj Singh can better his channel and parchar, he is already doing a fantastic job most of the time which is what counts. So do we all agree with his views or not? I for one believe that Sikhism is not compatible with homosexuality, whereas their leaflets say it's acceptable in not so many words. Please post anonymously if that's your preference, I think it will be constructive feedback.

  6. Sangat Ji Vaheguroo Ji Ka Khalsa, Vaheguroo Ji Ki Fateh The corrupt Leamington Gurdwara Committee strikes again!! Not only has this committee been involved in ManMat and anti-sikh activities in the past, but now they have even cancelled the 'Why Guru?' Course planned for 12 weeks by Basics of Sikhi at Leamington Gurdwara Basics of Sikhi statement: Sadhsangat ji, as mentioned. Regretfully we've been informed by the Leamington Spa gurdwara that the 12 weeks English Katha programme has been postponed by the committee. Its nothing to do with us or Dharam Seva Records. We are very sorry for this. Its an internal committee issue. If you do attend there and know people on the committee it would be helpful if you explained to the committee members that Basics of Sikhi is a national parchar organisation and has nothing to do with local Gurdwara politics. Please share with your family and friends in Leamington. Kirpa ji. This corrupt committee and Masand-run Gurdwara has gone against the Panth yet again! Please spread this to create awareness and change to this corrupt committee!!!! Update your status, tweet and spread! This corrupt committee must be held accountable for its actions!!!
  7. I been viewing a few clips of jagraj singh from basics of sikhi and he mentions in a few videos that Guru Nanak was God? When he debates muslims, which I believe to be a fundamental mistake. Also in my view it is a totally wrong approach to take with a muslim cos they automatically get disinterested when someone is associating God with "partners" as it is the biggest sin in islam according to them its called "shirk". From my understanding of gurbani and sikh scriptures Guru Nanak Dev Ji was not God and he even states he is a servant / slave of God and it is God whom he worships and sings his glory of. So why is Jagraj mentioning that Guru Ji was God? It totally contradicts Guru Ji himself and the very notion of core Sikh beliefs that there is only 1 God. We are not Christians that believe Jesus is 3 in 1 where a physical God can suffer pain, die and get resurrected yet worship another God. Or Muslims who believe in a God sitting on a throne above the 7 skies outside his creation. We believe that God (consciousness) resides in every soul, every living being and outside it out in the realms of existence. So I'm wondering why is jagraj / basics of sikhi coming to this illogical conclusion?

Many women are left distraught after having gone through such emotional and physical pain. However, find out more in this video about what we understand from Sikhi about Abortion.
