  1. Justice Ranjit SIngh has been busy in his reporting on state of Punjab, apparently there was a reason I cannot stand Akshay Kumar : https://www.sikh24.com/2018/08/02/breaking-monetary-deal-led-akal-takht-jathedar-pardon-gurmeet-ram-rahim/#.W2OS5rjLhPY
  2. I read the following passage in another thread. Instead of going off topic on the original thread, I have created this new one. -------------------------------------------------------------- I disagree that Baba Harnam Singh Dhumma has achieved many things by siding with Parkash Badal and his Dal. What has Baba Harnam Singh Dhumma accomplished in the affairs of the SGPC, Punjab's Government, or Sikh sovereignty since he's headed Dam Dami Taksal Mehta, headed the Sant Samaj, and nurtured such a warm relationship with the Badal family and the Shiromani Akali Dal (Badal) at large? I see a few things that may be seen as accomplishments by Baba Harnam Singh Dhumma The 1984 memorial complex being created The removal of the Nanakshahi calendar Getting approval for Taksal's kathavachaks to do parchar from Manji Sahib A "Martyr's Gallery" at the 1984 memorial (http://indianexpress.com/article/cities/chandigarh/apex-body-accepts-damdami-taksals-demand-4708101/) On a panthic level, can any of the above be termed as any significant achievement or contribution for our nation by a person who heads one of the oldest Sikh schools, an organization of Sants/Vidhvaans, and has relations with influential political leaders? They can not; these are paltry victories in the face of immense issues of our community. The biggest issues of the Panth (including but not limited to): The decline of Sikhi in Punjab Due to things like: Proliferation of drugs, lack of parchaar and spiritual sustenance, government suppression of Sikh movements Lack of justice and healing from 1984 and following genocide Tens of thousands Sikhs killed, tortured, detained, made political prisoners, and continued mass impunity for perpetrators Corruption at the Akal Thakht, SGPC, and Sikh institutions Focussing on the SGPC, has Baba Harnam Singh Dhumma done much of anything to elicit worthwhile change in all the shortcomings, mismanagement, corruption, and overall foolishness of the SGPC? In the video below Jathedar Ranjit Singh outlines many of the ways the Badal family has usurped the Sikhs' sovereign power and misused the Panth's power and wealth for their own benefit. He also talks about many actions of the SGPC that are blatantly corrupt. The Badals more or less ordered the SGPC to hand over the rights to relaying Gurbani from Harmandir Sahib from ETC Punjabi to PTC Punjabi at no charge. While the SGPC was to receive payment from ETC for the deal, the SGPC has received no compensation from the Badal family for the over 1100 Crore Rupees that PTC Punjabi owes as of 2013! Time and time again Baldev Singh Sirsa and Jathedar Ranjit Singh expose scams executed by SGPC officials to enrich themselves at the expense of the Sikh nation's funding. Property Scam - https://www.sikh24.com/2017/05/12/baldev-singh-sirsa-exposes-property-scam-in-sgpc-during-avtar-makkars-tenure/#.WYzaf_krKHs Property Scam - http://indianexpress.com/article/india/sgpc-chief-to-probe-land-deal-during-avtar-singh-makkars-tenure4789971/ Recruitment Scam - http://indianexpress.com/article/india/india-others/recruitment-scam-in-sgpcrun-guru-granth-sahib-world-un Badal seeking favours from Gurdwara Judicial Panel - http://www.tribuneindia.com/2002/20020522/main6.htm You will notice the SGPC always constituting its own "committees" of its own men to investigate. Does anyone think that will ever lead to a credible investigation where the truth and justice is of utmost importance? Nope. When a judicial panel tells the SGPC to have a private firm do an audit, the SGPC just ignores it. Complete disregard. - http://sikhsangat.org/2009/sikh-gurdwara-judicial-panel-slaps-contempt-notice-on-sgpc/ From the 7:00 mark Jathedar Ranjit Singh goes through the misdeeds of the Badal family and the SGPC. In relation to "2. Lack of Justice and Healing from 1984 and following genocide, What has Baba Harnam Singh Dhumma done with his influence on the Badal family and SGPC in that area? Thousands of Punjab police officers involved in our genocide have roamed with impunity. Badal Dal, while promising over many elections, particularly in the 1990s to punish all the guilty has done the complete opposite. They have sheltered, protected, rewarded, and saluted those same officers, and not just the big boys like Sumedh Saini, Izhar Alam, etc.. Did Baba Harnam Singh Dhumma do anything to use his political influence on the Badals to have impartial investigations, charges, and eventual punish meted down for the guilty? Some may know that the Shiromani Akali Dal used to have a "Shiromani Akali Dal Human Right Wing"; Jaswant Singh Khalra was the General Secretary of it. Why do you think that wing has gone into oblivion? Khalra and others working in that wing investigated and uncovered the crimes of the government. The Badals don't want such crimes to see the light of day and have as such instituted policy not to support human right endeavours in the political party of the Sikhs or the SGPC. Has Baba Harnam Singh Dhumma done anything to get the SGPC or Akali Dal to mobilise their resources toward hiring investigators, former police officers, former judges, or lawyers to research, investigate, and expose to the world, and begin legal proceedings for all those crimes that were committed against the Sikhs? Jathedar Gurdev Singh Kaunke was tortured and murdered by Jagraon Police. A report was conducted by the Punjab government but was never released. Badal promised to release it if it came into power. He never did. What has Baba Harnam Singh Dhumma done to get that report released? Especially since this particul victim was of such high regard from Dam Dami Taksal. In relation to "3. Corruption at the Akal Thakht, SGPC, and Sikh institutions" The Akal Thakht and SGPC has been controlled by the political overlords, whether it was Tohra or Talwandi exerting their influence, or the Badals in the modern day. The "leaders" of our nation in the form of Thakht Jathedars are chosen by the Badals to be "yes men", support the status-quo, and be wielded for political gain. The SGPC president is chosen in this exact way too. What has Baba Harnam Singh Dhumma done to change these political interferences and institute a system by with the nation chooses its leaders? What actions has he taken to ensure leadership at these levels works for the betterment of the community instead of the political betterment of the Badal family? While everyone makes much fuss over the Indian government destroying and stealing our priceless historical artifacts in 1984, the destruction that the SGPC has either directly or indirectly caused to our heritage is spectacular. Dozens if not hundreds of buildings razed or allowed to crumble. The possessions and artifacts of our Guru's and prominent Sikhs decay and turn to dust; this is living history going to waste forever to be inaccessible to our future generations. The SGPC has been aware of all this but this is not a priority for them. I'm sure Baba Harnam Singh Dhumma knows of this too. What has he done to mobilise SGPC resources towards the preservation of our history? I find it ironic that such a learned individual will do katha of and teach katha of Suraj Parkash or Panth Parkash, but that actual history he narrates he doesn't seem to be too bothered about protecting. Uncovered during the Badal's construction of the horrendous plaza outside Harmandir Sahib - https://www.sikh24.com/2013/12/02/sgpc-set-to-destroy-more-sikh-heritage/#.WYzdNvkrKHs Mansion of Mangal Singh Ramgarhia near Harmandir Sahib demolished. SGPC knew and did nothing. http://news.ukpha.org/2013/09/mansion-of-sikh-general-mangal-singh-ramgharia-razed-to-the-ground/ Relics of the Guru's decaying - http://news.ukpha.org/2013/02/priceless-possessions-left-to-decay-in-neglected-forts-among-them-relics-of-guru-gobind-singh/ Relics of Guru Arjan Dev Ji decaying going to waste - http://news.ukpha.org/2013/02/as-bilgas-treasure-decays-villagers-seek-outside-help/ Finally, while he has been President of the Sant Samaj for a great length of time, the other Vidhvaans of the organization have become disillusioned with his leadership or lack-there-of. Mahapurakhs like Baba Lakhbir Singh Ratwara Sahib, Baba Hari Singh Randhawe wale, Baba Amir Singh Jawaddi Taksal wale, Baba Seva Singh Rampur Khere wale all have left or distanced themselves from the Sant Samaj due to its wayward leadership and direction. - https://sikhsiyasat.net/2017/02/03/93-sant-samaj-leaders-part-ways-baba-harnam-singh-dhumma/ Many of the occurrences and facts I have presented above are not caused or created by Baba Harnam Singh Dhumma. However, in being the leader of Dami Dami Taksal and the Sant Samaj, and having such warm and close relations with the Badal family, the SGPC, and Shiromani Akali Dal (Badal), he has achieved very little in rectifying or ameliorating any of those issues in any meaningful way. It is treachery and deception with the Panth for Baba Harnam Singh Dhumma to have aligned, supported, and collaborated with the Badal family and the Shiromani Akali Dal (Badal); and to think, I haven't even mentioned Badal's and the Shiromani Akali Dal's collusion and cooperation in the June 1984 attack and subsequent smothering of the resistance movement. Have other leaders in the Panth also joined and supported the Badal family? Yes. But, no dharmic leader has been closer or supported the Badals with more zeal than Baba Harnam Singh Dumma. What triumph has he produced from that support? Baba Harnam Singh Dhumma may well have done a lot of things over his lifetime, however, the high position and influence he has been given have gone to waste. He does not seem to to have the wit, vision, strategic acumen, or transparency that Sikhs require from a person in such a position. -------------------------------------------------------------- If there are any mistakes or criticisms of the above analysis please voice them!
  3. http://www.tribuneindia.com/mobi/news/punjab/sacha-sauda-backs-sad-bjp/358336.html Parvesh Sharma Tribune News Service Sangrur, Febraury 1 Sirsa-based Dera Sacha Sauda has decided to support the SAD-BJP ruling alliance in the state Assembly elections. The decision was announced late last night. The dera had openly supported the Congress in 2007. Ram Karn Insan, member, political wing of the dera, said: “We never impose our will on devotees and always go by their wish. This time, the sangat wants to support the SAD-BJP.” “The dera followers have unanimously decided to support the ruling alliance,” said Harinder Mangwal Insan, a member the state body of the dera followers. Throughout the day, the dera 'premis' organised meetings at several places in the Malwa region where the followers "vowed" support to the alliance candidates. Reports of such meetings being held in Talwandi Sabo, Malout, Sangrur, Fazilka and Abohar constituencies were received. The decision, however, does not seem to have gone down well with a section of the dera “premis” (as the followers are called). Unwilling to speak openly, some of them said it was strange as the dera “premis” had been confronting Akalis for many years since the 2007 elections. “Our deras were attacked at several places, while many ‘premis’ were implicated in false cases. The decision to extend support to the SAD-BJP has come as a big surprise to us,” said a follower from Sangrur. The dera has a 15-member state political wing and a five-member national political wing. A 45-member committee was formed to take feedback from followers in the state. The state political wing completed its “mood gauging” exercise involving devotees across the state before the announcement last night. The members first conducted block-level meetings, then district and finally a state-level meeting was conducted on January 19 in Salabatpura. During the meetings, the members of the wing discussed the local issues with devotees, the performance of present MLAs and their attitude towards dera followers.
  4. http://indianexpress.com/article/india/india-news-india/golden-temple-priest-prakash-singh-badal-punjab-cm-2833052/ hopefully there will be more GurSikhs following and not allow Pakhand to happen anymore!
  5. Badal senior is in ICU and he still didn't get discharged. Maybe time aa giya esda.
  6. Why exactly did the Hindu government choose to use him to be wrongfully accused of crimes on 30 different instances when there were so many great GurSikhs all over against the Akal Takht beadbi in 1984?
  7. https://m.facebook.com/SOPWUK/photos/a.10150176630957081.295889.197939282080/10153350511372081/?type=3&source=48&refid=17&_ft_=top_level_post_id.10153350511372081%3Atl_objid.10153350511372081&__tn__=E (I don't know what exactly the Hindu government wants, but I'm sure they'll continue making fake arrests of more innocent Sikhs)
  8. Can anyone tell me how the Badal government took over the Akal Takht and sent massands to take it over especially since the last Jathedar Bhai Ranjit Singh was the one who was there before Badal? Also how'd the Massands stay in power so long without anyone stopping them until recently with the Sarbat Khalsa? (I know it's changed since Jagtar Singh Hawara became the official Jathedar.)
  9. 20 years ago the Akali Dal represented by Surjit Singh Baranala comprising of what is now Badals Akali Dal and Capt Amarinder Singh then being an Akali signed the statement below that they would push for an independent state if Sikh demands were not met. They signed this publicaly at Siri Akal Takht. The exact wording of Amritsar Declaration Shiromani Akali Dal The Amritsar Declaration (At Sri Akal Takht, May 1st, 1994) The Shiromani Akali Dal, championing the cause of Guru Granth Sahib -based Punjabi culture, reiterates its commitment to pursue a democratic struggle for the creation of a separate region for the Sikhs, where they can enjoy freedom. Prior to partition, the Congress promised to create such a region, which promise has so far not been fulfilled. The aspirations of the Sikh nation and the Punjabis can be realised only with the creation of such a region. Such a region can help in fulfilling the needs and desires of minorities. At this juncture in history, on the one hand we have unrest in southeast Asia, and on the other, western nations are exploring new value models to determine their destiny. These nations are also in the process of reidentifying with their distinctive cultural identities. In these circumstances, in such a region, the practice of ideals enshrined in the Guru Granth Sahib of universal brotherhood and unity, humility, corruption-free politics and peaceful coexistence, can be a beacon light for other cultural entities. In this territory, religious, economic, political and social institutions based on the Sikh way of life will uphold moral awareness, and also provide the Sikh people a place in history, hitherto unavailable. With this achievement, the Sikhs and Panjabiat will be able to make a laudable contribution to enrich world culture. The Shiromani Akali Dal is of the view that India is a sub-continent of various nations and cultures, each with a distinct legacy and status. The sub-continent needs to be restructured with a confederal constitution, enabling participating entities to prosper and flourish according to their own aspirations and to establish their special position in the comity of nations and cultures. In case such a new confederal structure is not accepted by Indian rulers, then the Shiromani Akali Dal has no option but to demand and struggle for an independent and sovereign Sikh state. --Signed- Amarinder Singh Jagdev Singh Talwandi Simranjit Singh Mann Jasmer Singh Bala, Col. (Retd.) Surjit Singh Barnala Bhai Manjit Singh
  10. Fuhrer Adolf Badal using the police to suppress peaceful protests is absolutely disgraceful behavior. Badal's reign of terror over the last 3 months: -Over a dozen cases of beadbi of Dhan Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji. -Arresting all sikh leaders which are not agents of the CBI or RSS. -Placing other prominent sikh leaders under house arrest. What's next? Will the turban wearing brahmin start murdering all Amritdhari youth of Punjab? It has gotten to the point of Beant's reign of terror in the 90s. Dhan Sache Patshah...I realize this is all happening in your hukam but it is heart breaking seeing this happen again to our panth.
  11. A young man (in his early 30's) from Surrey, Canada, has been missing for the last 3 weeks. People are beginning to become concerned as it's not like him at all. Normally, a day doesn't go by without his name or face appearing in the media. Family and friends are desperately concerned and fear his dissappearance may be connected to recent events in the Punjab region of India. Police issued a statement yesterday desperately asking him to make his whereabouts known. It is thought he may have gone into hiding in order to hide his own shame but the statement made clear that his safety and well-being is the only thing everyone is concerned about. We just want to know that he is OK....alive and well. It is thought his shame may emunate from the fact that, during the last elections in Punjab, he appeared in Badal's election campaign adverts, urging people to vote for Badal because "Badal is fantastic and the best thing thats ever happened to Punjab". Given recent events, the Royal Canadian Mounted Police think his recent inactivity and silence may perhaps be connected to the public support he gave to Badal. If you see this young man or know of his whereabouts please let the authorities know. Let anyone know. Police have issued a despiction: 5'8" tall. Brown complextion. Really really stupid haircut. Even funnier goatee beard. An excessive amount of cheap jewellery. Sometimes waves his arms around and walks like a bad actor doing a bad impression of a black or hispanic gangster. Addicted to the playground game 'Rock, Paper, Scissors'. Plays it everywhere he goes. All the time. Known by the name of 'Jazzy B'.

  13. According to pages 210 - 211 in this book, KPS Gill and Badal held meetings to discuss fake encounters and how to rid Punjab of the Kharkoos. Another claim is he even appeared at the bhog of the murdered Singh's and shed crocodile tears, what a Kanjar and Akirtghan!. The chance of Singh's being released under his regime is NIL. http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x34r1r3
  14. In light of the well known fact that the SGPC and Akaal Takht and other Takhts in India are under direct or indirect control of majority Hindu (RSS) government should a Sarbhat Khalsa be held on foreign soil or online (or a combination of both - but lets not get into debating how it would happen for now) in order to have an Akaal Takht in Exile out of the reaches of the India Govt? This would mean a Jathedar with the support of the panth and vidhvaans would be selected, the benefits of which would be massive. Some may argue this would be another divide in an already fragmented panth, but I am sure it could have a positive impact in challenging the current problem we have with a leadership that is subservient to RSS. Unless something as radical as this happens then I can't see anyway of wrestling power from those that are help bent on harming Sikhs. The RSS govt is more powerful then most understand and if we dont stem their surge into Punjab and remove them from our (Sikhs) 'top table' then the future for many generations of Sikhs in Punjab is bleak (drugs/apostacy/alcohol/foeticide/genocide etc). There is no doctrine for how or who can call a Sarbhat Khalsa, a call by the majority of the sangat and supported by a massive number of Gurmukhs/Vidvaans would out rank all that opose it. If a well funded/articulated case is made by the diaspora and propagated in Punjab now whilst there is an increasing unrest among the Sikh youth (as seen in the media these recent months) we could make a change? SO HOW ABOUT IT A SARBHAT KHALSA TO DEBATE ONE QUESTION... SHALL WE TAKE THE POWER OF THE AKAAL TAKHT BACK AND MOVE IT ABROAD UNTIL WE TAKE BACK CONTROL OF OUR HOME? A benti to anyone responding keep comments chardikala in nature, what I mean is if you don't agree make a better suggestion or keep criticism clean and fair - apart from a few trolls, we all want the same thing.
  15. PATNA Sahib, Bihar, India (February 20, 2015)—The apex Sikh body, SGPC, has taken over the control of Takht Sri Patna Sahib management. The 15 member committee elected 5 members and Avtar Makkar was named as head of the management committee unanimously. The SGPC enjoys control over majority of Gurdwaras in Punjab, Chandigarh and Himachal Pardesh. Now with the control of Takht Sri Patna Sahib, it can make decisions regarding 4 of the 5 takhts. The fifth takht, Sri Hazoor Sahib, is run independently of SGPC control. SGPC President was congratulated by DSGMC President Manjit Singh GK. Some scholars have hinted that Makkar had been made head at Takht Sri Patna Sahib to empty the president’s position at SGPC headquarters in Sri Amritsar. Salwinder Singh (Tata Nagar) became senior vice president, Bibi Kamaljeet Kaur got elected as junior vice president, Sarjinder Singh (Patna Sahib) was made general secretary and Mahinder Singh Chhabra as secretary. 16. http://sikhsiyasat.net/2014/11/01/punjab-bandh-under-pressure-from-hindutva-forces-badal-govt-arrests-sikh-activists-genocide-victims/ Punjab Bandh: Under pressure from Hindutva forces Badal govt. arrests Sikh activists, genocide victimsAmritsar, Punjab: The Punjab police has reportedly launched arrest drive to defuse Punjab Bandh call by AISSF and other Sikh bodies to protest against denial of justice to the victims of November 1984 Sikh Genocide. Sikh Siyasat News (SSN) sources revealed that the Punajb police has arrested Sikh activitsts and victims/ survivors of Sikh Genocide 1984 in wake of 1 November Punjab Bandh (Punjab Shut Down) call. Sources told Sikh Siaysat News (SSN) that around 60 people have been arrested so far in Amritsar alone. Bibi Jagdish Kaur, Karnail Singh Peermohammad and others arrested by Punjab police to defuse Punjab Bandh Call The Amritsar police arrested AISSF president Karnail Singh Peermohammad along with Sikh genocide survivor Bibi Jagdish Kaur and around 40 more persons when they were marching towards Amritsar Railways station. Karnail Singh Peermohammad, Bibi Jagdish Kaur arrested by Punjab police [November 01, 2014] It is notable that BJP leader Lakshami Kanta Chawla had warned Badal government against Punjab Bandh. Hindutva leader had demanded that the Badal government should ensure that no disturbances are allowed in road and railway traffic. The Punjab Bandh or Punjab shut down call was given by All India Sikh Students Federation (AISSF) and victims-survivors of the Sikh Genocide 1984 as a token protest against denial of justice to the victims of Sikh genocide 1984. The organizers of the Punjab Bandh were appealing to all sections of the society to observe shut down and show sympathy with the cause.
  17. The BJP/RSS have stepped up their attacks on the Badal Dal since coming to power with a landslide majority in May. They openly accuse the Badal Dal of being involved in the Drug trade and other criminal activities. BJP/RSS have used the Badal Dal to establish themselves in the Punjab and do not see much use for it unless it operates completely under their control. The Badal Dal have followed instructions on keeping the Sikhs subjugated , however they have got a grip on the money generated by the state and the Punjab BJP leaders want an equal share. In recent months the BJP/RSS have gone against the Sikhs; BJP involvement in riots against the Sikhs in UP and other states The foreign minister asked the Canadian Govt to take action against Sikhs No financial package for the Punjab No punishment of the 1984 attackers of Sikhs. Stepping up the torture of Sikh prisoners. The BJP say they want an equal share of seats in the Punjab or will drop the Badal Dal BJP praising anti Sikh cults such as Jhoota Sauda Establishment of anti Sikh cults in Punjab and taking a grip of Sikh institutions and organisation. The Punjab is so much in the grip of Brahmin rituals these days due to the vacuum of Sikh leadership that Panthic Sikhi is relegated to a minority. I hope even at this late stage the Sikhs can wake up and realise that the Indian political parties treat Sikhs the same.
  18. LUDHIANA: An unemployed youth allegedly threw a shoe towards Punjab chief minister Prakash Singh Badal at a function in Isru of Khanna about fifty kilometers from here. The youth, identified as Vikram Singh, is a resident of Dhanaula in Barnala. Sources said that chief minister had come to attend the death anniversary of Karnail Singh Isru, a freedom fighter of the village when the youth hurled shoe towards him but missed the target. They added that youth had also raised slogans 'Inquilab Zindabad' before he was arrested by police. Police officials said that youth was perhaps upset with unemployment. Though the youth claimed to have deep respect for Prakash Singh Badal but he acted this way to register his anger of being unemployed, told the police officials. Even as SSP Khanna Harsh Bansal couldn't be reached for his comments despite repeated phone calls but DIG Ludhiana Range confirmed that the incident had happened. "I don't have the details about the incidents", DIG told TOI over phone. http://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/india/Youth-hurls-shoe-towards-Punjab-CM-misses-target/articleshow/40309015.cms
  19. WJKK WJKF I would like to ask your opinions on a few things and also showcase just how terrible Badal and other Akalis were and are. 1. Can we attain freedom/ Anandpur resolution while still remaining apart of India? or must we break free completely, I recall Sant Ji saying in one of his speeches that we aren't asking for khalistan but if it is offered we will take it and not repeat the mistake of 1947. Now the Akali betrayal post as recently around the general sangat (not just this site) some people fell that the Badals and Akali crimes are only being power hungry and controlling the SGPC. Thing is Badal and other Akalis sold out the panth and got Sikhs killed no better than Indira.
  20. Muktsar (Punjab), Jan 29 (IANS) Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal Wednesday rejected a demand by his Delhi counterpart Arvind Kejriwal for setting up a Special Investigation Team (SIT) to probe the 1984 anti-Sikh riots. Addressing the media in Goniana village in Muktsar district, 240 km from here, Badal said there was "hardly any need for it (SIT probe) as several earlier high level inquiries conducted on the matter have pointed towards the role of Congress leaders in this planned mass massacre of Sikhs". He said the "need of the hour was to take exemplary action against the Congress leaders involved in this dastardly act so that succour could be provided to the victim families". It was time to give justice to the victims instead of setting up another SIT, he said. Reacting sharply to a statement by Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi that certain Congress leaders could be involved in the 1984 riots, Badal asked Rahul Gandhi what deterred the Congress and the union government from acting against the party leaders involved in the heinous act. Thousands of Sikhs were killed in various parts of India, especially in Delhi, in November 1984 in the aftermath of the assassination of then prime minister Indira Gandhi by her two Sikh bodyguards. Badal said Rahul Gandhi owed an answer to the public about why the Congress leaders involved in the riots have not been punished so far. "Instead of taking any action against these tainted leaders, the Congress party has not only been protecting them but they were rewarded by the party with pivotal posts, which reflected the anti-Sikh stance of the Congress," the chief minister said. The names of Congress leaders Sajjan Kumar, Jagdish Tytler and H.K.L. Bhagat (now deceased) had figured among those accused of instigating mobs during the riots. http://www.samachar.com/Badal-rejects-Kejriwals-demand-on-1984-riots-probe-ob3tKsagbfd.html What does this guy have to hide? Why can't he allow a fresh thorough investigation? Looks like his hands have more Sikh blood on them than we know of?!?!?!
  21. http://www.indianexpress.com/news/drug-racket-kingpin-names-punjab-minister-of-involvement-in-network/1216115/ Alleged drug racket kingpin Jagdish Singh Bhola on Monday named a Punjab minister of being involved in the racket, as Congress trained its guns on the minister and demanded a CBI probe. Bhola, a dismissed DSP of Punjab police, told media persons outside a court in Mohali that Revenue Minister Bikram Singh Majithia was involved in the case, but police had hushed up the matter. Although he had named Majithia during interrogations, Punjab police refused to include his name due to the Minister's relations with the Badal family, he said. Majithia, who is the brother-in-law of Deputy Chief Minister Sukhbir Singh Badal, denied the charge. "Let me look into the allegtions. Only then I will comment," he said. Congress hit out at ruling SAD and demanded Majithia's arrest and a CBI probe into the case. "MPs and MLAs of ruling SAD are involved in drug trade... Earlier the name of sitting MP Rattan Singh Ajnala too had cropped up, but Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal gave him a clean chit immediately," Punjab Congress Chief Partap Singh Bajwa said. Slamming the Punjab police, party spokesman Sukhpal Singh Khaira called it "a private army of the Badal-Majithia clan". "Incompetence of the Punjab police to arrest the minister for involvement in drug trade, has vindicated allegations by Congress, that Punjab police stands politicised and is working as a private army of Badal-Majithia clan," he said. Warning the state against "shielding the relative minister", he said Congress would approach the Punjab and Haryana High Court. Earlier at the court, Bhola alleged that the drug trade was being run under Majithia's patronage and claimed that the state police knew about it. "When I was picked up by police, I told them about this and initially the investigations were slow," Bhola said. He demanded that the case should be transferred to the CBI and then he will spill the beans.
