    Dal Panth Amrit Sanchar

I want to take amrit from dal panth in panjab. Does anyone know any locations within panjab where dal panth host amrit sanchaars. Also on what occasions do they hold amrit sanchaars. Do they host them on gurpurabs, sangrand, etc
  9. WJKK WJKF For those who don't know, Balbir Bazighar is one of the "Jathedars" (quotations because he is fake) for Budha Dal. Budha Dal is currenty split into three. The true Jathedar, accoring to maryada, Akaali Baba Prem Singh The one who is believed to be the Jathedar, after Sangat didn't want Balbir to be Jathedar, Akaali Baba Joginder Singh The fake one, Balbir Bazighar. My question is, how did he suddenly gain so much influence? Did the government bribe him, etc? WJKK WJKF
  10. Waheguru ji Ka Khalsa Waheguru ji ki Fateh, Lakh Lakh Vadhaian to all the Saadhsangat on the Purab of Hola Mahalla. Guru Gobind Singh Ji Maharaj initiated this festival at Sri Holgarh Sahib (Sri Anandpur Sahib), on Cheth Vadhee Ekam 1757 Bikrami. Guru Sahib alongside the festivities of Hola, used this time to gear his Sikhs towards Shastar Vidhya. The Sikhs immersed themselves in the colour of love for Gurbani by sitting in the Saadhsangat. Changing the ancient tradition of ‘holi’ to ‘hola’ Guru Sahib said the immortal words recorded in Gurpadh Prem Parkash by Baba Sumer Singh, ‘ਔਰਨ ਕੀ ਹੋਲੀ ਮਮ ਹੋਲਾ ॥’ (for others it is Holi, for me it is Hola). Mahakavi Bhai Santokh Singh Ji has beautifully described the scene of Hola Mahalla in Sri Gurpartap Suraj Granth: In Guru Ji’s Darbar Sikhs came in large numbers full of bliss. All around the city the Guru’s Langar was running non-stop; the Sikhs would eat where they pleased. From all four directions thousands of Sikhs had gathered in Anandpur Sahib for Hola Mahalla. ੪ ॥ Those on whose forehead good fortune was written were colored in the color of the Guru’s love. 4. The Rababs and Pakhawaj (drums) were being played with great enthusiasm. The Raags and Raagnis of Gurbani were sung so beautifully it was as if the very manifestations of them raags had come and stood in front of the sangat. In the way that the demi-Gods in happiness meet each other in heaven. ੫ ॥ Similarly, The Guru’s Sikhs are in a state of extreme happiness lining up to gain the glimpse of Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji. 5. Near the main door of the fort, the Nagaras (war drums) are being played, hearing which the Sikhs are obtaining bliss. The Nishan Sahibs of the Khalsa Panth are fluttering high in the sky and the Nagaras are producing a very loud sound. Gursikhs with great enthusiasm are roaring Jaikaras (war cries). ੬ ॥ ... Many Sikhs have gathered and are throwing colour on each other, the great crowd is moving forward. 6. ... Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji in their hands have taken a ‘Pichkaari’ (syringe instrument used to throw color), seeing this all the Sikhs have also taken Pickhaaris in their hands. The Sikhs in pure devotion are coming towards Guru Sahib and bowing at their charan. At once they all threw red color on each other, it was as if raindrops of different colors were falling everywhere. ੮ ॥ Throwing handfuls of colour in the air it seemed as if even the sky had taken on a new colour. 8. Adhyae 27, Ruth 3, Sri Gurpartap Suraj Granth, Mahakavi Bhai Santokh Singh Ji. Please Enjoy the video and spread knowledge of this important time of year and mental stance

    Nihangs in 1984

The nihangs are supposed to be tyeaar baar tyeaar. Ready for battle at any moment. So where were the nihang Singhs during the attack on harimandir Sahib? Who has the answer to this?
  12. IS SHANT ras more important then bir ras or are they supposed to be equal. an example is miri piri, is the miri aspect more important then the piri aspect or vice versa, or are they equally important. bhula chuka khema muaf. wjkk wjkf
  13. VJKK VJF Sangat Ji, I'm hearing that Nihang Singhs put 5 leaves of cannabis in degh. What is this for and why is this? I mean cannabis... cannabis. I'm kind of (not) getting to grips what jhatka meat is about but cannabis? Someone please enlighten me. VJKK VJKF
  14. Vaheguru Ji Ka Khalsa! Vaheguru Ji Ki Fateh! Sangat Ji, has anyone got a copy of the purataan rehat marayada where the panj pathay (5 leaves) of sukha is written? Or is it taken from Bhai Santokh Singh's Sri Gur Partap Suraj Parkash? Also, is shaheedi degh the only way of consumption? Meaning, can it be consumed as infused 'tea' with honey for example? Looking to get the health benefits from it but won't always be able to do the traditional ragra. Please don't make this post anti-sukha/shaheedi degh! Akaal!
  15. WJKK WJKF As part of a school project, I am doing Sikhi for religious education. Our essay focuses more on sects (Taksali, AKJ, 3HO, etc) I am doing Nihang, and many of my other class members are. I want to go further and actually explain how to join them. If you think about it, people will have stuff like their beliefs, how they were created, modern day nihangs. I want to do stuff like beliefs, how they were created, their contribution in 1984, Nihang isn't one sect (it relies on Nihang jathebandees), how to become a nihang yourself If anyone could help me I would appreciate it a lot. WJKK WJKF

  19. https://youtu.be/p8jvzLYltK8 Mom catholic, father buddhists, and educated in catholic environment. He said he wasnt satisfied in his spiritual life. He began his journey on the path of truth on the search for truth. He learned in libraries to discover the truth in spiritual knowledge. Bhai Sahib did his own research and compared one religion to another. At a young age, He figured that every religion was the same as it teaches goodness and well being for everyone. However, he wasnt satisfied and his thirst wasnt fulfilled. At his tenth birthday, Bhai Sahibs mom gave him a book about world religions and thats where he discovered Sikhism. He says the word Sikhism connects in his mind because he passed a Gurdwara on his way to school everyday in Jakarta. He learned about Sikhism and study deeply into the religion. Due to limited resources, the study on Sikhi was limited and he determined that the religion is normal compared to others. The question lingered in his mind about the true religion. He began on further research on the new religion he discovered. He searched for books on Sikhism from library to library and finally found a good resource and understood that Sikhism isnt the same as the other religions. By the age of 11, he learned about Sikhism from two Sikhs he met in Singapore. Bhai Wadbhag was referred by the Sikh men to learn more from the local Gurdwara where he started to learn from Granthis and Kirtaniye from the Gurdwara Sahib in Singapore. Finally, Bhai Sahib met the student of Sant Jarnail Singh Ji Khalsa Bhindranwale and Sant Giani Gurbhachan Singh Bhindranwale Giani Vikar Singh. Bhai Wadbhag learned about the Nitnem Banis, Sikh Sakhis, Sants, and the Sikh Shaheeds. After learning about the Shaheeds, Bhai Wadbhag Singh was inspired to embrace Sikhi. http://dailysikhupdates.com/catholic-nihang-singh-incredible-journey-wadbhag-singh/
  20. Part II of Tisarpanth's Misconceptions Series. Here two main misconceptions are answered: 1.) Sikhi survived due to the sole efforts of the Jats and, 2.) Sikhi was a reaction against contemporary economics. To quote a few portions: 'Sikh history, and tradition, substantiates that no lapse was ever tolerated from the faith’s ideology. The names of Baba Atal Rai and Baba Ram Rai are only some of the many examples which depict the penalties imposed upon those who, for one reason or another, deviated from established norms. The former resurrected a victim of snakebite and was so sternly reprimanded by his father, the sixth Guru, that he discarded his mortal frame whilst the latter intentionally changed a line of Gurbani and was excommunicated by his own father, the seventh Guru. Summarily we can easily conclude then that it is impossible to assert that the sixth Guru who was more than satisfied to witness his own son’s demise, but could not tolerate any deviation from the faith’s ideology would concede to any demands made by the Jats.' 'Non-Sikh records mention the respect with which the Sikhs treated women, even extending courtesy and safety to those who were of their sworn foes. (19) If compared with Jat practices, historic and present, than these contrast starkly as the Jat objectification of women is a well known fact. Secondly, the Sikh ability to unite in face of a common threat historically is a well-established fact. This principle emerged out of two factors namely a channeling of all energies towards achieving a singular goal, and a singular interpretation of the faith. The Jats were and still are avid worshipers of Jatheras or shrines dedicated to some Sisyphean ancestor(s). (20) With each locality, tribe, clan, village espousing a different ancestor any ideological unity and singular channeling of energy is impossible. The establishment of Bharatpur can only be called a miracle as the Jat unity forged for it’s establishment soon disintegrated afterwards.' https://tisarpanthdotcom.wordpress.com/2016/04/24/misconceptions-ii/
