  1. Vaheguroo Ji Ka Khalsa, Vaheguroo Ji Ki Fateh! We all know that sex outside marriage is considered a "bajjar kurehat", however technically the Sikh Rehat Maryada only applies to Amritdharis. Rehats change all the time, and were not written by the Guru, I trust the SGGSJ becuase it is unchanged and everything we need is in the Guru Granth, with that being said, I have some questions. Here are the following questions I have: 1. Does the Siri Guru Granth Sahib Ji advise against Sex outside marriage? Im not talking about leaving your own wife for another, im talking about having sex with your girlfriend/boyfriend in the context of a long term relationship where you will eventually get married. 2. Does any historical rehatnama or hukamnama advise against Sex outside marriage? PLEASE PROVIDE DIRECT SOURCES FOR EVERYTHING PLEASE REMEMBER THAT IM TALKING ABOUT SEX OUTSIDE MARRIAGE WHEN NOT ALREADY IN A RELATIONSHIP Thank you Vaheguroo Ji Ka Khalsa, Vaheguroo Ji Ki Fateh!

    Jatt girl tharkhan boy

Hi, I have an issue which shouldn't be an issue but it's eating me. I'm a Tharkhan boy and have been speaking to this Jatt girl (excuse the caste labels but that's the only way I can explain it), we both like each other and would like a future together I.e marriage. The problem I have is that she has a fear that her parents will not accept me as I am not a jatt, I've tried explaining to her Sikhi has no caste system and what our ancestors did for a living has no meaning in today's society. We are both professionals but ever since she overheard her parents mention they would only accept jatt as a partner for her, she has been very distance, she doesn't want to stop talking but also doesn't know what future will hold. We both have feelings for one another but how can i get her to overcome this fear she has? Any help or advice would be very appreciated and I can understand this issue may have been talked about a lot in past. Thanks
  3. Recently my cousin sister decided to get married and when they were speaking to the gurdwara management guys to arrange the wedding at the gurdwara the guy told them various packages/options they could chose each with various crazy extortion amounts of they would have to pay which didnt feel right with her and the family as the gurdwara is supposed to be a place of worship, a charitable place to help the sangat but it felt more like a money making business. They were also told there would be plenty of parking for the relatives and friends. However closer to the day of the wedding they was told there is no free parking and that the roads surrounding the gurdwara are residential parking which are metered and relatives/friends would have to pay to park on the roads. When she told me this I felt disgusted that gurdwara commitee's are behaving this way and then wonder why people don't come gurdwara's regularly or look in to other faiths who help them.
