  1. A vicious and highly toxic gang feud in South London has already led to the deaths of dozens and independent investigators reveal that the true death toll could run into the hundreds. The gangs, one of them calling themselves the 'Surgeons' and other the 'Consultants' showed no regard to the safety of the public as they continue their feud. It is not known if a different sort of education system would have prevented these gang members from exhibiting this sort of behaviour but the female leader of one of the gangs, Marjan Jahangiri, was unrepentant as the authorities couldn't pin anything on her and had to reluctantly let her continue her gang activities. One source told me it was the class system of the British educational system that was to blame for creating this sort of toxic activities but another said most of the gang members were from the Indian sub-continent so it could be that they have brought their feral behaviour with them from there. Wanting to be see to be something about this gang problem the government blamed the type of music these gang members listen to and will shortly announce a ban on Bethoven, Mozart and Bing Crosby whilst the Met will put together a special taskforce to tackle the problem head-on. Meanwhile community leaders will try and arrange a truce between members of the Consultants and the Surgeons to try and put an end to the deaths. One mother, who's son had died at the hands of one of the Surgeons said "when will the deaths stop" after I told her to say when will will the deaths stop. A facebook search of one of the Surgeons gang-members shows him blatantly posing for a photograph with a sharp instrument whilst other members of the 2 gangs had posted images of themselves next to their expensive cars and exotic holidays. One insider, who didn't want to be named, said it was this rich lifestyle that is encouraging young kids to go on and become members of the Consultants and Surgeons gangs. "Kids are drawn to it" he said after I told him to say kids are drawn to it. "When will the deaths stop" the mother said again, not realising that I only required her to say it the once. https://www.standard.co.uk/news/health/radical-shakeup-to-clear-dark-force-from-london-hospital-a3927026.html
  2. And more importantly what does Sikhi have to say about this? For e.g why do young kids get cancer and die early who haven't even seen life proper? Why do innocents get attacked and killed around the world? In 1 on 1 debates over the years I've asked many abrahamic believers to explain from their point of view why it happens and they tend to just brush it off as its "God' testing us" or "God testing them (the victim)". That explanation doesn't wash with me and sounds barbaric and cruel to put innocent souls through this. Especially as that implies abrahamic God isn't treating every soul equally and chooses who is to be treated worse and better and differently from birth. While abrahamics often say their God is just God and doesn't discriminate against believers yet many in birth are already dealt a worse card than their counterparts not even given a chance to fulfill their potential to prove their devotion or rejection of their God and their belief system.
  3. When the soul leaves the body nothing remains except soil in the lifeless body. I have been to funerals and noticed that the soul has left the body and the body looks like it is in Samadhi state. Mahapurakh Rare Wale used to say that seeing dead persons makes you go in bairagi state. You feel aware of death and that it’s coming to get you.

    Suicide

I am a young girl who took Amrit recently, I feel like I was pressured and forced into it, I know I could've said no but it was more of a blackmail/love reason. I know I'm only to blame for this but why would Maharaj allow me to take Amrit if they knew I wasn't ready for it? Yes now I do live in rehat don't commit any bujjar kreths but I find it so hard. I did it because I thought I loved a boy and he pressured me into it being Amrit Dhari himself. The boy started hitting me and abusing me and speaking/ meeting several different girls, I couldn't do anything about it because I felt like I had changed for him and I felt like I was stuck with him I feel like I've been groomed in my own religion. Ive lost all my friends and hardly speak to any family (I study so I live out for university), because they know this person isn't good for me. I feel at such a low point in my life and I feel so alone, I thought taking Amrit was meant to uplift someone and make them happy. I'm at a stage in life where I don't even know if I believe in god and feel very suicidal. I just don't know what to do any more I have no one.

    dogs reincarted sikhism

Our childhood dog passed away at the hospital, he was a close family member. As far as I understand dogs become human once they are reincarnated in Sikhi. So does that mean we should celebrate and not mourn the death of our dog(brother) since he is now given the chance to become human? what do you guys think of dog death, and what is the best way to pray and hope for his best in future. thanks
  7. Sat Sri akal ji, Nowadays i m having some SERIOUS doubts about life after death in sikhi vision.. i feel a lot confused, upset and my mind is really going crazy!! The fact is that some important sikh parcharaks like Sant giani Maskeen Singh ji , Bhai Yagraj Singh ji of basics of sikhi, Guruka Singh, ecc. (including my amritdhari parents!) said/say that after death a person soul according to his good/bad deeds during his lifetime (karms) may get again into the reincarnation cycle or , in the best of cases, reach the grace of god ("heaven") achiving Mukhti ( the liberation from the reincarnation cycle). Me too, i ve been convinced for lot of years about this theory so i ve always prayed the naam of god full of happiness as my final goal was to reach not only a balance in my life but also "swarag" after death!! i was so happy and above all i felt my self really conscious ... However, the problem is that in the last days i found out that other sikh experts explain, quoting some GURU GRANTH SAHIB JI VERSES from guru Nanak Dev ji or Bhagat kabir ji bani, different things and realities: for example that < according to gurbani, our religion don't believe in "heaven" or "hell" after death and one is born and dies under the Laws of Nature. The benefits/punishment of good and bad deeds is rewarded in this life not in any other life or in any other world. The final message of Gurbani is to make best use of the present life since there is no other life after.>. OMGG Since that moment, it seems like my spiritual beliefs my INNER PEACE are fallen in just few seconds.. one of the several posts i've read is the following (this is a recent post): https://www.sikhnet.com/news/concept-heaven-and-hell-gurbani it s the first time i feel afraid of death and afterdeath(before i was sometimes afraid of death only when i was a little kid without spirituality) and , reading posts like this now i am afraid for example of the idea that afterdeath it will not happen so i couldnt reach god anchor. Hope some sikh devotee or sikhi expert from the sangat could help me with these doubts.. really need a help. Pulla chukka da maaf karna ji P.s.: other verse from Guru Granth Sahib p.969, that i found out, is "What is hell, and what is heaven? The saints reject them both."
  8. VJKK VJKF I have some burning questions: What happens if you have kept your amrit and you die? Where do you go after death? Do you have an eternal "afterlife"? VJKK VJKF

His mortal remains were consigned to flames today. Balwinder Singh, deceased’s maternal uncle, said talks with his acquaintances in Turkey revealed that Lovepreet was shunted out of job twice for his being a turbaned Sikh. They shared that Lovepreet was objected for wearing turban, he added. He had gone on a study visa to Lithuania, but somehow got stuck in Turkey, considered a gateway to the European countries. The 19-year-old had flown to Istanbul on September 21 last year after his parents took Rs 8-lakh loan to send their son abroad and a sum of Rs 5.5 lakh was paid to the travel agent. His family members were thankful to the district administration and the External Affairs Ministry in extending support to bring the body from overseas. The Turkish authorities had claimed that his body was fished out of the sea on June 26. On the basis of Aadhaar card and his belongings, the Turkish authorities had approached the Amritsar DC.

Why is Death Hard to Accept?

Vaheguru Ji Ka Khalsa Vaheguru Ji Ki Fateh! Is there a reason why death is something hard for many to accept, even when it will happen to everyone? Why do people forget it? Vaheguru Ji Ka Khalsa Vaheguru Ji Ki Fateh!

    Death

Hello everyone. I was having this thought for a long time. With new medical breakthroughs happening what if we found cure for aging and subsequently prevent death. Then what would happen to all religions. We humans usually follow religion because we are scared of death and the after life.

Shahena Uddin, 19, who was one of eight siblings, was 'regularly punished' by her brothers and sisters, for 'crimes' such as eating at the wrong speed. Punishments would allegedly include being force-fed rice and paper and being made to stand for long periods staring into a toilet bowl. She was even banned from using the toilet at their home in Watford but would be punished further if she attempted to use the sink, St Albans Crown Court was told. But the violence is alleged to have plumbed new depths of depravity in October last year when she was found beaten to death on her bathroom floor after choking on her own vomit. The court heard how, when she was found the following day, the Bangladeshi teenager had endured 'several beatings' - including with weapons - and that both sides of her head had been severely attacked. Ambulance staff, who were called to the house by the family, were told she was sick and fainted. But by then, her four brothers, a sister and her two sisters-in-law had attempted to cover their tracks, the court was told. Prosecutor Simon Trimmer QC said blood and vomit stains had been covered up and that Shahena's bloodstained clothing had been put into bin bags outside. He said: 'Shahena died at the hands of members of her own family in her own home. She probably endured several beatings that night. 'This was a troubled family unit held together by internal discipline of an extreme variety. She had been beaten with weapons during the previous 24 hours.' Share this articleShare Suhail Uddin, 35, and his wife Salma Begum, 32 - who became the teenager's legal guardians in 2010 - are now standing trial, accused of Shahena's murder. Begum is also accused of causing or allowing the death of a vulnerable adult. They were charged alongside Shahena's three other brothers, Jewell, 27, Jhuhal, 33 and Tohel Uddin, 24, who all deny causing or allowing the death of a vulnerable adult. Shahena's sister Rehena Uddin, 22, also denies causing or allowing the death of a vulnerable adult. Laila Begum, 25, who is the wife of Jhuhal Uddin, denies causing or allowing the death of a vulnerable adult. Pictured: An officer stands guard Outlining the case, Mr Trimmer told the court: 'Shahena was a vulnerable young person. She suffered abuse and violence at the hands of her own family. 'The regime of brutality and extreme violence was so deeply embedded and feared, that she could not risk the results of any form of complaint to the outside world.' The court heard how, in 2010, her older brother Suhail and his wife Salma became the legal guardians of Shahena and two other sisters. The jury was also told how Shahena told friends that she was beaten. But she would go on to deny the stories, amid fears she would be beaten. Mr Trimmer said: 'When they tried to complain on her behalf, she was obliged, for fear of worse to come, to deny what she had said to those school friends.' The court also heard how she was hit with weapons such as a Wii baseball bat, a mop handle and a glow stick and even made to eat her own vomit. One of her sisters told police that the female siblings were often forced to eat too much rice 'if they didn't eat nicely', the court heard. She said Shahena had spoken of running away. The trial continues.

For example They saw a person outside looking at them They saw a man i think looking at them again writing something down. A cow at the top of the stairs about to fall. I dont know if this is the mind playing tricks or not functioning correctly, but i'm pretty sure this all means something, does anyone know.? thanks

  18. Dear Sangatji My close relative has passed away today. The family live far so I won't be able to take part in the patt, but I will go for the funeral when it's arranged. I will be working in the day, but wanted to pray for my relative until the funeral, could you give me advice about which patt I should do. I don't have family where I am, there is gurdwara but no programmes every day - they have evening programme two evenings in the week so I can go to those . Waheguruji ka khalsa Waheguruji ka fateh
  19. I've heard that death is pre-destined. And I've also heard that one can increase one's years of life by yoga which many did according to our history. They simply slowed down their breathing and thus lead a longer life. Is this true? Does this mean that life is actually dependent upon number of breaths and if so time does not play a big part since it's up to you to decide how long you want to take to breathe each breath. Are there any quotes in Guru Granth Sahib ji on the matter? Thank you

    Death

I recently had a death in my family, the individual was a manmukh (ie not amritdhari), however they had a child that was amritdhari and grandchildren that are amritdhari. Has any saint or guru sahib said what happens to such an individual after they die? they must of had good karams to have children and grand children that became amritdhari? Also how many days does it take to get to dharam raja after one dies?

    Praying For Deceased

My cousin sister took her own life two months back. I know that people say suicide is a big sin but she was suffering from mental illness, depression. What paat can I do to ask for her peace? And what does SGGS ji say about people who die in this way?
  24. Wjkk Wjkf, I would appreciate if the sangat here could help me out as I don't know where else to post this. Recently, a close family member of mine has been having dreams of car accidents for the past few weeks. Every night it is the same dream of a car becoming out of control and the brake doesnt work. Recently the family member had a dream in which they were dead and were pleading to do paath. It is usually the dreams of car accident which is more frequent. Now this family member of mine is amritdhari but has failed to keep rehit. I won't go into much detail but all my pleas to convince them to do paath are in vain. I am unsure of what to do. I think there is a strange meaning behing the dreams and I am scared that it will come true. Any advice please?
