  1. This is beautiful, a real historical account. Maharaj wore white clothes that day as well (extracts from the account).mahraj in front of the entire sangat cut off the heads and yet singhs voluntarily stood up to mahrajs demands. This wasn't done in no tent, not behind any scenes.
  2. Anyone know what the shabad is being sung at 2:18?
  3. Hey everyone, wanted to ask if some sangat on here can please share some tarna shabads. hopefully nanaksar related tarnas. thanks.
  4. Hey everyone, Wanted to request anyone that has any simran/kirtan file that just/only contains "dhan guru nanak", "dhan guru nanak thuhi nirankar" or something of that sort only could you please post the link. nothing with a shabad afterwards or anything just dhan guru nanak. if anyone has it'll be greatly appreciated Thanks
  5. Please whoever has the ability to, please write a thorough or point form situation of what is happening in India at the moment making reference to the current Rajoana situation as well as the human rights issue of 1984. Do try to contact writers@infowars.com They are from the website www.inforwars.com which release unbias material of current events. Do try to get information out their, www.sott.net is another unbias media source in which we can all contact. If there are other media sources(not mainstream) with contacts please share them, so more people can contact them with the Sikh situation.
  6. look at these ridicilous comments below because of the ill-informed article. we need to get the truth into the media. http://www.cbc.ca/news/politics/story/2012/03/28/pol-sikh-parliament-hill-milewski.html
  7. I would give you quotes from guru granth sahib that refer and talk about spiritual powers, demons, other entities etc. But i am not sure if you have already studied guru granth sahib or not? The more your spiritual level is awakened, you become more present in the sense things become more clear. What we have now is false but we don't believe it because we're limited to your spiritual level at this time to thinking our body is our body when reality is the deathless soul we have is our trueself. To come to this realization takes a lot of dicipline and meditation (takes life times to come to this realization, everything happens in our own pace, some are more ready to accept the will of guru sahib then others but guru sahib allows us take the time it needs for us to be ready for him) This is why guru sahib's bani is the most powerful, came straight from sachkand, created great warriors and saints (baba deep singh, bhai mani singh etc.). Black magic, powers, are all real but above all this is the love of guru sahib which should matter the most.
  8. Just found this video, guilty by association? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PbjYlAtvw7U&feature=related
  9. At a certain point of time, you realize a understanding within yourself. When I first started becoming A Sikh and doing nitnem etc. My belief system would be that Guru Sahib was a 'prophet, a messenger' etc.or whatever I would But a few years of dedication of his grace and reciting his verses and meditating. My faith has grown from referring to guru sahib as a prophet which he wasn't but guru nanak devji is God himself. Not saying I understand anything yet, but I guess over time your belief system with his grace become more clear. and start to treat Guru Sahib as the most powerful of all! (the lord himself) I guess everyone has their own way of coming to this understanding. It took me a few years, but now whenever I would think of Guru Nanak Dev ji he is nirankar himself! His light manifesting in the following Guru's was the light of Guru Nanak Devji(the light of God) and above poster is the correct as well. Simple "For a sikh guru sahib is God, period" - what is more greater then God? nothing. so then what makes you think our Guru is not the greatest?
  10. Other Gurdwaras not related to the Dixie managment refused to sponsor Dhanda mainly because he is a controversial speaker. So then why did Dixie call him and hansra promote him? simple answer, to see thamasha unfold in our gurdwaras. That is there objective (paid from the Indian Consulate+rss etc.), Mayfield fight promoted in a negative light in mainstream media, Sikh lehar incident promoted horribly in mainstream media with articles ridiculing our beloved Guru Gobind Singh Ji. Now there attempt was to see if something else would happen, and that too at Dixie one of the largest gurdwaras in Toronto. Please don't get caught up in their dirty politics.
  11. To those that think Dixie Gurdwara or any Hansra related activity is good for the panth think again, These are the same people that have good connections with the Indian consulate in Canada, i don't want to name names. But people involved in Dixie, Sikh Lehar etc. ...are a front, they will support Khalistan as a front to lure people like us in and once we start supporting Khalistan these same individuals report us to the Indian Consulate. What then happens is that we either are being watched or being black listed. Dixie management is the biggest fraud in Toronto Sikh affairs. Media is controlled by Hansra etc. These same individuals have misallocated almost $150,000 from Guru Gobind Singh Children Foundation, these same individuals have sued their 'own' gurdwara and profited off it. So don't be fooled that these people are Khalistanis they are fakes trying to take advantage of the panth. Hansra and these pregnant belly look alikes have tried to kick out the most amazing Granthi Singh in all of Toronto from Dixie but he won't leave because sangat will not let that happen. Weekly Simran is the only reason there is any sangat at Dixie. and they try really hard to stop that too.

i apologize didn't mean any disrespect. so for that I am sorry. But the way you have read it must've been disrespectful but in my heart it was completely different. I couldn't elaborate on the points, but just wanted to narrate the jists of what got me through tough times. positive outlook and acceptance. Anywhere in that post earlier I said something to hurt you in anyway sorry. I hope you and your family the best.
  13. yea, just ask the stage secretary or whoever is in charge of the timings for raul to slot you in if available.

umm, Guru sahib says to be always positive and be optimistic in every aspect of your life. How long ago did he pass? There's a grievance point, and then there is a time to let go and move on. Moving on would mean you have accepted what has happened and once that mind set is there you and your family would be better at ease. Instead of being sad.
