  1. I also went to the event. I have to say it went pretty well. I really enjoyed it. Does anyone know who those bibiaan were that were guarding the gallery part? I was impressed with their bana. They looked wicked!!!!
  2. I have an amritdhari friend who was refused to do seva in the langar in India by AKJ ppl and when asked why, one person said that he did not take amrit from AKJ. Sorry, i mean in this situation, It might of had been Bebikee langar. Bebikee langar can only be served by bebikee singhs. It would not be right for them to allow a none bebikee to serve food that might be also for some bebikee singhs. If their were bebikee singhs eating langar, then they would not eat it if it is being served or prepared by a none bebikee. There best solution must of had been not to let any none bebikees touch the food, so this way everyone can eat it. Im sure it was not a matter of being AKJ or not.
  3. JSingh, It is mentioned that one should not remove their kes because it will be a krehit. Even though AKJ promotes Keski as being a kakaar, they also tell a person the punishment of removing their hair. They would also tell one that if one removes their kakaars by accident they can do ardaas, but if no removes their kes by accident they must get peshed again. As for this singh in India, he must of had been keeping bebik rehit, thats why he did not do seva. It makes sense, why would he serve food to people that he would not eat? A Singh will not sell meat to a person, in the same situation, it is not right for a person to serve food that they will not eat to others. I hope this clears up things for you!
  4. Dating is just not going out with the person to the movies or out to a party. Nowadays it is also done over the net, by chatting on msn, yahoo, icq, aol messengers. Dating is against sikhi and so is love marriages. There should be no relationship outside of a marriage. That is a good post Veer Japnaam Singh!! People always use the line " Oh i want to know the person before I marry them".... If you were to have an arranged marriage your parents know what kind of husband/wife would be good for you and would not get you married off to some psycho. Also if your Amritdharee you should know that Dating is wrong having a Boyfriend/girlfriend is pure Manmat. If your Amritdharee you must marry another Amrithdaree person with the same Rehit as you.
  5. Waheguroo Jee Ka Khalsa! Waheguroo Jee Kee Fateh!! To find out more about Sarbloh 'Sikh Soldier' post your question on http://www.tapoban.org/phorum/list.ppa?f=1 which was already mentioned before by jagjit_waheguru. The Singhs on the site know exact answers to your question. Waheguroo Jee Ka Khalsa! Waheguroo Jee Kee Fateh!!
  6. I agree with you Veer Ak-47! I wish women were not so scared to fight for their rights. It takes courage to stand up for yourself and alot of women don't have that. I wish all the women could be like Mata Bhaag Kaur, Mata Sahib Kaur and many more puratan bibiaan who stood up for their rights and Sikhi and faught. We need to wake up Bhainjees and actually start making a difference in this world and lets fight for our rights. I'm pumped and ready to start!!
  7. I also have joined, and all I can say is WICKED job bhainjees, can't wait for the offical website.
  8. I myself was born into a gursikh family and was taught by both of my parents. Now my dad plays a bigger role in teaching me about sikhi and bani. There are very few women in this world who wear daastars or keskis which is a real shame. Guru Gobind Singh jee said women and men are equal that is why he gave both a Singh and Singhee a Gursikh Baana which is a Chola and Daastar. But does anyone really wear what Guru Sahib jee told us to wear?? In western culture today males play a dominant role unlike females. Females should play more active roles in politics and in Sikhi! So come on Bhainjees out there lets do something and actually change the way the World thinks of Women. Lets help those bibiaan who want to do seva in Harmandir Sahib we are not just doing it for them we are doing it for the Khalsa Panth and for ourselves also for future generations of Bibiaan.
  9. I agree with Gabroo Khalistan Dah, the singhnees of the site should do something about this issue. Also gotta say this is a WICKED idea that bhainjees put together. Thanks
