  1. VJKK VJKF Mostly, it will be you that pays for your Karam because Maharaj also says "Karamee aapo aapne, kaaey nerdhe kaaey ddhoor". But if you do ardaas that you are deeply sorry and that you want to be forgiven then Maharaj will forgive you but that Karam that you've created by committing that sin has to go somewhere and that is where it may go to a family member. Passing to a family member will usually happen if you do ardaas in front of Guru Granth Sahib Ji with family. Then you may all get a small bit of Karam to go through each. For example, if you have a massive rash and you do ardaas in front of Maharaj, your family might all get a spot each and your rash goes away. This is what I've learnt Ji. Hope this helps Ji. Vaheguru Ji.
  2. VJKK VJKF There are 2 things which you can/should do: 1) Tell her boss immediately and let him know what is going to happen but tell him to keep it quiet for now because you are going to carry out Step 2) 2) Anonymously, tell the police and let them know this could happen. Dasmi Paatshah gave us the kirpan to remind us of fighting injustice daily. This is a test Ji. Hope this helps. Vaheguru Ji.
  3. VJKK VJKF, Sangat Ji, maaf karo I didn't mean to start this altercation between you guys. Thank you for everyone who answered - I'm humbled so many people contributed. Thank you so much Ji. Vaheguru Ji.
  4. VJKK VJKF, VeerJi, forgive me if I offend you but I just wanted to know; are you a Sikh? Just wanted to know because I didn't know that there were non-Sikhs on here too. Vaheguru Ji.
  5. VJKK VJKF It's a nice gurdwara aesthetically and there are good Gurmat activities like santhiya etc that go on inside. But nowadays we've lost the practicality aspect of our gurughar and forgotten that looks aren't everything. Havelock Road Gurdwara in Southall is one of the worst built Gurdwaras but it looks very nice - inside and out. It cost £17.5 million to make but was made by a gora who knew nothing about Sikhi; where are the meeting rooms? Where can the panth discuss or do veechaar? The darbar is made for sangat to listen to katha and Kirtan but where is the room for separate Q&A? 2 massive darbars and no meeting rooms for the panth to talk about or arrange events or to come together and discuss Sikhi with each other in saadhsangat. That's not a gurdwara. Infact most gurdwaras aren't built for their purpose anymore. It's sad really. Maharaj Kirpa the gurughar in the future will be more purpose built. Hopefully I haven't said anything that has hurt anyone. Vaheguru Ji.
  6. VJKK VJKF Penji, I'm only 17 so I don't much about husband and wife relationships however I can advise about something you've said. I'm not having a go or anything; I'm just trying to correct Maharaj's bani. You said that Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji said to increase your relation everyday between each other everyday. This is true, but vague. The pankti you are referring to is a Shabad that Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji ouchaar to Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji. They say to Maharaj "Son, (increase) love/care for your wife daily but don't go to another woman's bed in your dreams". They don't say increase your sexual relations with your wife daily - but the love. Kaam can be invoked by love as well but the love is the main source. Love your husband (and vice versa) and increase that love so much that you don't rely on Kaam to feel as intimate with him but just seeing him is enough. Love is also the way to Waheguru as Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji says as well "Everyone listen, I speak the truth that whoever loves god - only they will obtain/find Waheguru" so the love increased between two Amritdharis daily is bound to harbour a place for Waheguru in your married life as you both were blessed Amrit so both your aims in life are both to reach Waheguru and eventually you will get your destination of this human life as Sri Guru Arjan Dev Ji says "Now is your turn to meet Waheguru (in this human life)" the more love you build up for each other and Waheguru. There's nothing wrong with sexual relations between 2 married persons but anything done out of proportion is detrimental. Guru Nanak Dev Ji tells us that walking this path of Sikhi is "Iike the sharp edge of a sword" and so going over the top with Kaam, even with your spouse, can have effects on the bigger picture. Hope this helps Ji. Forgive me for the mistakes I've made because I've made countless. Vaheguru Ji.
  7. VJKK VJKF, In my school there's a white, Christian R.S teacher and he has the 5 K's on a shelf in his room for display. He also has Sri Adi Granth Sahib in romanized on his shelf. I just wanted to know if that's okay. Is he doing any beadbi? Vaheguru Ji.
  8. VJKK VJKF, I agree Veer Ji. But saying that, when you don't fuel the fire the fire eventually burns out so maybe it's hukam for Maharaj to make us ask for these ardaas so that when we don't get them and we learn that what we are asking for is contrary to Gurmat, w eventually stop. I might be wrong, but I believe one of the guidelines when doing ardaas is that you only do ardaas for things that are pro-Gurmat, no? Vaheguru Ji.
  9. VJKK VJKF Veer Ji, correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think Waheguru would grant such an ardaas. Or would they? Vaheguru Ji.
  10. VJKK VJKF, Sangat Ji, daas was blessed to read some sakhis about some gursikhs. I won't go into the whole story as I don't totally remember it but the main taat (essence) of the sakhi was that the ardaas of a Rehitvaan, Amritdhari Gursikh is always heard. I just wanted to know if this was true. I used to take everything I heard about Sikhi as true (mostly I do because I have a lot of sharda for Guru Ji and Sikhi) and I personally believe the taat of the sakhi but I'd rather be safe than sorry when it comes to the truest of the truest paths and when I'm not always sure I know that Guru Ji resides in Saadhsangat and so he will clear any queries so forgive me Ji. Vaheguru Ji.
  11. VJKK VJKF Vaheguru Ji, that has scared me I'll be honest. I didn't know these dreams meant so much. Maybe Maharaj is preparing me for something deeper. Thank you for enlightening daas. Vaheguru Ji.
  12. VJKK VJKF Maharaj kirpa let's hope so. Thank you for your help penji. Vaheguru Ji.
  13. VJKK VJKF The simran is getting a bit persistent now but I had a weird dream before and I just had the same bad dream including my old house for some reason as I did last time. In a way, it kind of answers my question because the quantity is much greater during the day than at night however that may answer the question about lahaa and quality as it maybe the same level even if much less is done at night. It was quite bad but I woke up before I had to go through it again. I'm a bit scared now. Vaheguru Ji.
  14. VJKK VJKF Thank you for that, Penji. That was beautiful. So is meditating and walking around and japping naam the same, with the same lahaa? Vaheguru Ji.
  15. VJKK VJKF Sangat Ji, I know we are told to jap naam 24 hours a day, everyday but the question I have is that is there any difference in experience or levels of lahaa (wealth gained by naam) if I do it while I walk around or if I do simran in a quiet place in meditation? I ask about lahaa because you are more focused on naam when you meditate upon it so I'm assuming you can connect more and so on. Bani says MEDITATE upon Waheguru but also that jap naam 24 hours or 8 pehr (8 stages of the day)? I have tried to jap naam all day and don't feel or experience anything as such but it keeps on going throughout the day but when I meditate I feel like I can concentrate on naam more. Any help or advice? Vaheguru Ji.
  16. VJKK VJKF Sangat Ji, please put up your favourite bani panktis as I would like read more bani that I can understand and taste the giaan of. Vaheguru Ji.
  17. VJKK VJKF How much mool mantra and simran were you doing? It must've been a direct result of that. Maharaj kirpa. Vaheguru Ji.
  18. VJKK VJKF Challo - maybe someone in sangat can enlighten daas. Maharaj Kirpa. Vaheguru Ji.
  19. VJKK VJKF This is what I read Ji. https://sarbattkhalsa.weebly.com/bhai-daya-singh-ji-rehatnama.html Vaheguru Ji.
  20. VJKK VJKF There were rehats like Bhai Daya Singh's rehatnama around Guru Ji's time. But is there anywhere where you can read the official rehat at the time? Vaheguru Ji.
  21. VJKK VJKF The SGPC rehat was created in 1925 if I remember correctly. This begs the question what was the official rehat that people used to follow around the time of Guru Gobind Singh Ji? If I search any rehat at the time there are so many different ones. Which one is the official one that was set at that time? Vaheguru Ji.
  22. VJKK VJKF Maharaj Kirpa de naal, daas is being blessed to meet some amazing people who can change a lot in our panth. I would like to pose the question to you guys - what would you like to see change in our gurudwaras? What should we add and what should we remove? This is the time to start moving forward now and Maharaj kirpa we can take these points and try to make them a reality. Vaheguru Ji.
  23. VJKK VJKF Trust me Ji - heard so many different things from so many different people. Maharaj kirpa, I would say start doing 5 banis nitnem if you already do some sort of paath in the morning. If you don't then start to implement Japji Sahib into your life even if you just listen to it. Do you have any kind of nitnem right now? You don't need to specify what you do if you don't want to just if you have a routine or not. I'll try and help if I can after that. Hope that helps Ji. Vaheguru Ji.

  25. VJKK VJKF I wouldn't say it's entirely hard. Just like how gold appeals to all so does the truth. All we have to do is spread it to them. As I'm only 17 I can clearly see what's happening. We don't have young faces preaching sikhi. We have more than before but the amount are few and far between. The average parcharik (the closest thing we have to parchariks in the panth apart from a few a Basics parchariks are granthis in the gurdwara) doesn't leave the four doors of the gurdwara and inside they only hand out parshaad and may or may not read from Guru Granth Sahib Ji Maharaj. How are the youth going to learn anything about sikhi when the gurdwara is only full of aunties and babeh doing chugliyah in the gurudwara and no-one is doing katha? If there is katha (rare nowadays) then it's Punjabi and only a few kids nowadays understand Punjabi so there's no English katha. My year group (Year 13) are really coming towards the path when with Maharaj kirpa daas starting doing a bit of parchar at school with the sikhs and now the sikh sangat (pardon the pun) is so much stronger because there's not an old baba speaking about sikhi; it's someone their age who they can relate to. We need to spread this sikhi to the youth because they are next generation and they can teach their kids and so on. Nowadays, we target old men to run our gurudwaras (which there is nothing wrong with) but they run it and don't employ people to start preaching it within and outside the gurudwara. Why are we hiding this beautiful sikhi we have? Guru Nanak Dev Ji Maharaj was jagat guru so they were here to save the whole world not just the sikhs. Target the youth, not the average baba on the road. We have tackled getting the old generation into Sikhi but what about the rest of the panth. Getting the youth into Sikhi is killing two birds with one stone because then when they become old they already know sikhi and can teach it to the youth again so it's a constant cycle but teaching the old generation doesn't help anyone because they don't become young again. We also don't teach our kids sikhi is anymore (this is aimed at parents). We think it's good enough to take our kids gurdwara now and again and remember God when we have exams or need something but nothing at all about what sikhi is even about. Names of 10 gurus, naam, sangat, Amrit, morals of Sikhi, kes... nothing. The list goes on. Where is this sikhi going? We can't even keep it running in our homes how are we supposed spread it outwards? We all love to point fingers at Muslims but there is one thing they do very very well and I really hope one day we can do this as well. They get their kids into Islam straight away. What they teach their kids and their faith in general is not a topic for me to comment on but the fact they know so much by their teens/late teens shows how easy it is to get kids in religion. Now I can't speak for Islam's teachings but we have such beautiful, beautiful but vastly effective and simple teachings which if we actually bothered to tell our kids and get them trained then they would automatically have a base of Sikhi which they could build on and spread all whilst still in their youth. The first rehat for us sikhs is to take Amrit at birth. Why is this not happening? Hindus get their kids wearing the janaeu from the day their born making their religion the forefront of the child's life from day dot but we can't even chose our kids names and keep their kes the sikh way. We are stopping sikhi in all our homes before it even gets to the streets. First in our guru's house (gurudwara) and then in our own homes. Maharaj kirpa daas will try and make these changes with the right sangat when I come out of school because I can't see this keep happening generation after generation... this stops now. Hope this helps Ji - bhul chuk maaf karna. Vaheguru Ji.
