I don't want to make out that I am in a really tough situation, but it is definitely a unique one of which I have never found someone else in before, but I'll spare the details. The complete obliviousness of my future worries me so much.
I feel as though, in comparison to every individual Amritdhari Sikh in this world, I have absolutely no knowledge of Sikhi, of our culture, of general etiquette, just everything. Not only that, but I feel as though in comparison to everyone else in this world I have achieved nothing, I have not learnt any skills, I have no true long-term interests or passions, I have no achievements, I have no discipline - I have really wasted this life, and I'm really worried of the consequences that are to ensue.
I definitely have come out of certain experiences in the most positive way possible, but I genuinely am not being humble when I say I am nothing. There is simply nothing to me
I'm not sure if I'm crying out for help, or waiting for someone to slap me into gear because at the rate I'm going I will never be able to begin my Gursikhi Jeevan with a family of my own - and at this moment in time, this scares me the most! The only way I can think of fixing my wrongdoings is by teaching my children not to make the same mistakes as me.
I genuinely can't believe I'm sitting here wasting my time again and again. I see a picture of Sants and I cry because I know Vaheguru is disappointed in me.
Any thoughts?

Big ups to you penji, for having that desire. This moment of vairaag is such a blessing, as for the pain remember that happiness is also around the corner. One can only appreciate sun after rain and darkness.. Try your hardest to remember Mahraj as much as possible, during those split seconds you do get time.. Ik ghari adhi ghari adhi hu te adh bhagtan sethi ghostay jo keeno so labh..
One more thing I recommend is to find time for yourself while raising a family. Its difficult but try ji.

Look I don't have the time at the moment, to answer each of you individually but I will say this much, I'm not against Amrit vela I myself follow it. From what I understand from the clip above I reason Dhandrian wale isn't either , but just because someone has different views doesn't mean they're wrong. Also on that note: @chatanga look believe what you want about me, I don't care if you think I'm in a cult, but I recommend you learn to become a sikh. From the way you generally try to do veechars I think it'd in your best to cut down on the haumai a bit.
[Also I will answer these questions to the best of my ability when I have time.]

If this type of parchar offends you don't listen to him. Just keep listening to people like dhumma and banta singh. Why do you insist on cramming your view(s) of sikhi down others' throats? Now you guys are after NKJ? Honestly man if it doesn't match your taste, listen other parcharaks. At the end of the day he tells everyone to read guru sahib for themselves, if you guys are right, then why are you worried?

http://twofeed.org/2017/10/09/india-will-first-country-explain-world-aliens-contacts/
New Delhi is in the middle of a big secret internal debate. On one side the largest democracy of the world is eager to explain to its citizens and to the world about the ongoing contacts with the UFOs and extraterrestrials. On the other hand, there are invisible untold international protocols that prohibit doing anything that may cause worldwide fear and panic.
It is well accepted between the UFO and extra-terrestrial experts that all the five nuclear powers are in contact with the beings from other stars for quite some time. Recently India has seen enormous news on UFO contacts and secret UFO bases in the Himalayas near the Chinese bases. In Ladakh, for example, the locals clearly point out the everyday phenomenon of large triangular space crafts coming out below the ground and Indian security forces protecting them.
Military officials and politicians have confessed the fact that India has been contacted. India has been told the rules of the Universe.
The current debate is whether to keep it secret like other countries are doing or in the tradition of a totally transparent society come out and tell the truth. India is so open and democratic; it is very difficult to keep a secret for long. The biggest concern of the Government today is that unlike in other countries, it will be very difficult to keep it secret for long. If the information comes out through unofficial channels first and then the authorities are pressed against the wall to confess, two bad things can happen. First, it can really cause a panic in the country as well as the world. Second, the way the Indian politics is run, the ruling party will be thrown out of power in no time it is ever found that the Government withheld such information from the public.
Fun fact: Pakistan launched a satellite a while ago and received images of water so they launched reports saying that they discovered water on mars, the whole of Pakistan was proud until it was later found that the satellite didn't even leave earth and was roaming around in the Arabian Sea.
i don't have much hope from India either, seeing as this is the level of expertise we got in that part of the world lol

Where in America are there Sikh areas, if any? There's Surrey in Canada which I know about.
There are strong groups in the valley and coast. I don't see that many in LA, but I may have gone to the wrong parts.

If you feel your ready, your ready. Tell your mom if you mess up it's on you, tell her to put some trust in you.

How many 'Shots' are Sikhs allowed to get a baby boy ?
Have seen lot many educated Sikhs having 2,3,4 daughters & still craving for a son.
Is this Gurmat or Manmat ?
Honestly manmaat, but in all reality it's our fault we've brainwashed a generation into thinking do paath, and get what you need. All this because 'Babay' have been doing Arths of shabads like this: "jo mangay takhur apnay te, soee soee devay" as whatever you ask god for, do a certain # of japji sahibs and you'll get it. We're the better translation would have been those who ask for god onto themselves, as in ask for the gift of sikhi, they revive their requests. Had he been given better gian and taught santokh he could see the anand in this. We also have punjabi culture to blame for this: daaj, wedding culture, the fact that males are seen as more superior, and the thought that girls won't be there for them.

Akali fauj don't make threats because I have read your reply about baba harnaam Singh Dhumma and you should not say anything to him because you don't know anything about him and you don't know why does what he does so please think before you speak.
Why you bringing dhumma into this... *Sigh* dhummas not worthy to be known as a taksali

Our kaum is totally deluded by BHOLEY PEOPLE ! tch tch
Well here's the deal :
Britishers don't give a damn <banned word filter activated> about our growth or existence ! Remember they were the ones who came as death to our sikh empire. They were the ones who banned kirpans. They were the ones who were in favor of controls of gurudwaras be in hands of mahants only. They were the ones who did a 10000 horrible things to our people and our political power. After using us ample in world war 1 and 2 , and since they knew we're total moorakhs, used sweet words (remember winston churchill) to sway us to keep working for them and left us with no political power but rather a bloody mess of punjab partition and landing us in the hands of hindu india which as we saw saw us as anti nationals. Then the brits helped Indian govt do op bluestar.
Who started this mess ? Britishers ! The sikh kaum is still suffering from their thorns . And we in UK think we're being seen as some sort of idols to be followed by white skins ! Heck no ! they see us as idiots TBH .
I hope someday the brits will get their karma back and I hope to see it happen in my lifetime.
Stop being loyal to BRITS ! they're perhaps the most evil people on the face of this planet or atleast their ancestors certainly were !
Rather try to make atleast some pockets of UK into sikh dominant areas. They owe us ! atleast that much !
Why so much hate on the British? I'd rather cope with them, than the failure of a country (AKA India)

After Amrit is the real deal... maximizing discipline, merge with god completely, developing a mindset like guru sahib, learning to live in the mud while remaining clean, and putting humanity before yourself.

i have tingling feeling centre of foreheadish when doing simran path. Also hear tingling in ears during simran and sometimes when I am not doing it as well. Can someone clear this up please with details. Thanks
I used to have that too, it's because we try to hard. Back when Bhai jagraj singh used to debate muslims he always said one thing that stuck with me: trying to get experience from meditation, which is the complete opposite of simran... don't do simran for experience do it out of love. Bhai jagraj was given experience as per bhana or hukam, when it's our turn we'll get it too (hopefully ? LOL) just do simran for fun and it'll probably go away, and if it does don't worry about it. ?

If he's so homo and can't control his urges, he could have shed his hair for doing his homo behavior.
It's embarrassing, but as sikhs we need to stop sharing this kind of stuff; Tid nanga Na karo

Walking to Darbar Sahib
in WHAT'S HAPPENING?
Posted
I don't disagree with this but if you have the sharda go for it, it's your choice. Just remember you should practice hours of walking nonstop first and most likely have proper nutrition, including plenty of electrolytes and protein so your satiety is up. Also try to bring some companions along if possible, safety in numbers. Most importantly Don't do this if you have trouble in physical activity or any sort of disability. Good luck.
