probably best for another thread, along with some evidence.

I thought we were back to calling her Mata Sahib Devan, as I hear this name used more and more these days. I wonder when the name Mata Sahib Kaur was first used, it was probably colonial times I am guessing. I remember that Guru Hargobind's wives were called mehls. I remember that widows were remarried, and Singhs married women that couldn't go back to their families after being rescued from the Afghans. If the polygamy exists in puraatan sikhs, then it exists in modern sikhs as well lol Didn't the Patna Sahib jathedaar try something like this? It still existed in some Maharajas in Punjab in the last century.

probably a maharashtar version of a hindu punjabi, goes to gurdwara but from a hindu family. Probably one of those girls who will probably go more into sikhi if she marries a sikh guy!
-
ok, but now I read this thread and remembered that goray gurdwaras used to be opened to promote the 3ho cult in the past, here is hope that new gurdwaras opened by whites aren't heavily promoting this (you will notice if kundalini yoga is heavily practised in these gurdwara sahibs or now), although I am not very optimistic. Well before printing presses of SGPC, it was pretty normal to only have the main gurdwaras to have hand written larrivaar saroop of Adi Guru Granth Sahib. Gurdwaras without sewadaars available were less likely to have Granth Sahib. For example, when the Puraatan Singhs took over the place in Sirhind where the Sahibazadas were shaheed, the puraatan Singhs only put a shastar for mathe tak, not any Granth Sahib saroop was brajmaan, as nobody would have been been able to be a caretaker or sewadaar.

I don't see why he would be denying the Vaaran? Is there a video, or maybe this is a misunderstanding of some viewers?
-
Actually there was a very small amount of bani which Guru Gobind Singh wrote as Gobind Rai, but this was corrected by Guru Tegh Bahadur first and is included with Salok Mahalla 9
-
I guess they are comparing to bani in Adi Guru Granth Sahib. which is not really a sensible comparison.
-
As in, not believing in Dasam Granth being gurbani doesn't mean rejecting all the banis contained within. For example, if someone reads Jaap Sahib and Chaupai Sahib, doesn't mean they believe in Dasam Granth. Of course, it also means they can do amrit sanchar with a distorted Chaupai Sahib, since he was responsible for cutting Kabiyo Baach Benti Chaupai.

yes, Teja Singh got excommunicated due to that...

I hear that Teja Singh used to force the students to wear keski at the girls' school he opened, so maybe there are 1800s pics from there ? , of course that is if he did manage to open the school in the 1800s. Panch Khalsa Diwan - SikhiWiki, free Sikh encyclopedia. Some of his proposed changes however did appeal to the Tat Khalsa Singh Sabhias. For instance Teja Singh Bhasauria advocated: 1. Only Khalsa Sikhs should be considered Sikhs. 2. Non-Khalsa Sikhs were not Sikhs. 3. All Khalsa Sikhs should adopt cast designations of ‘Got’ (clan name) and adopt as surname ‘Singh’ for males and ‘Kaur’ for females. 4. Females should be equally initiated into the Khalsa - a belief contrary to ancient Sikh Rehitnamas such as of Chaupa Singh. 5. Khalsa women were ‘equal’ to male Khalsa and thus could participate as the Panj Piyareh (the 5 Beloved Ones who may initiate new Khalsa Sikhs) 6. 5k’s should be made compulsory for all Khalsa However, Teja Singh Bhasauria also proposed more radical changes, which did not sit well with his counterparts of the Tat Khalsa Singh Sabhia such as: 1. All women should wear a ‘Keski’ (small turban) 2. In addition to the 4 major taboos of the Khalsa, Teja Singh advocated a fifth - non-Khalsa Sikhs may not eat alongside Khalsa Sikhs 3. Dasam Guru Durbar was not Sikh scripture 4. Teja Singh altered the Sikh ‘Ardas’ (formal invocation) and wished to replace the phrase ‘Prathm Bhagauti Simar Keh’ for he believed ‘Bhagauti’ referred to the Hindu Goddess of the same name, rather than the double-edged sword 5. All non-Sikh/Hindu festivals, such as ‘Lohri’, ‘Rakhsha Bandan’, ‘Dussera’, ‘Navratri’, etc., should be excluded from Sikh celebrations 6. The removal of the ‘Raagmala’ (last page of Adi Guru Durbar), non-Sikh Gurbani of Bhagats (saints) and ‘Bhatts’ (bards), from Adi Guru Durbar.

Would old school punjabi use J instead of Z. So would it be Zorawar or Jorawar. Remember that old school punjabi didn't have the pehar bindi akhar for gurmukhi. dhan dhan Guru Arjan Dev ji yes, Arjan name existed long before hindus existed. Arjan in Mahabharat lived long before there were actual hindus on Bharat, as they were the ancient peoples.

yes the one which he married at 6 years old and then, I guess it was all grooming until 9 years old when his Kaam took over. Pakistani grooming gangs, now who do they take inspiration from? But the actual reason he waited until she was 9 was because her hair fell out, and it had grown back properly by the time she was 9!

Do these beauty contests degrade women?
ipledgeblue replied to shastarSingh's topic in WHAT'S HAPPENING?
no need for beauty pageants, when the girls go as low to just expose themselves on instagram. just no shame on there the pics they put. -

I mean his role in Punjab 1984 was wasn't bad, he was able to get serious for the parts required. He would still be able to manage playing this role if he had to. -

but they still seem to win on brains, no? I remember one time when India won Miss World one time, I am sure she won on brains rather than beauty, probably the same for Miss Universe this time... -

no I don't remember any songs, it's a really serious and gritty movie! I do understand that descendants of Bedis and Sodhis are seen in a similar way to Sants, however they should never be equal to Guru Granth Sahib! -
is that all amrit sanchars, or only those that are secretive?
