  1. Wjkk Wjkkf Bhenji Agreed the truth is not confined to a certain religion and it is within us all! But only Satguru Ji can reavel this truth within us..... The key is in the hands of the True Guru; no one else can open this door. By perfect destiny, He is met. ||7|| Dhan is our Guru! Dhan Dhan Dhan!
  2. Guru sahib has no hate to anyone and due to this his gursikhs shouldnt have hate towards anyone. When it comes down to it the girl can do whatever she wants, however I have come across uncountable cases like this someone comes along, shows a little bit of attention to the girl, spoiles her with gifts to win her over. Next thing you know the girl is either on drugs getting pimped out or been flown out to Pakistan. I have perosnally witnessed pakistani males wearing a kara, going by a sikh name to pull our girls. The reason why so many advise against these relationships is because they have seen first hand the outcomes. They are not good.
  3. Wjkk Wjkf Pyaario Could i ask what you guys what you think a chaur sahib's purpose is? From the above post about electrical fans it seems as if the purpose is to keep flies etc away. From what understanding daas has the purpose of a chaur sahib is to signify Guru Ji's royality and king of kings status. From the little seva Guru Ji has taken from this ant of doing chaur sahib seva it was done for satkar and to uphold the royalty of my king. Dhan Sri Guru Granth Sahib Jee
  4. Samosa Singh Ji, I have heard that the purpose of lighting a jot was due to practicality - if there light went out or in times were there was no electricity the gurbani reader could still carry on gurbani path without disturbance. If we read above Guru sahib is saying everything for a Gursikh is naam and it's with naam we have to light the jot inside.
  5. Singh - I am not going to justify his action but we havent been told the full story on this. But take into account what may have forced him to use his kirpan? What would drive someone to do that? I've been reading through all comments here and everyone seems to be tearing this singh apart for using a kirpan. Let me give you all a reality check, a kirpan is a shaster not an "article of faith". I will give you a sceniro, what would you do if someone broke into your house with the intention of hurting your family? I dont know about anyone of you but that khanda on the side of bed is coming out with the intention of destruction lol.

No need to do any doubt on this - read however much gurbani you can with pyaar, this is the most important thing. Doing path in car, walking is not beadbi, just make sure you've cleaned hands just before reading and its fine. Beadbi occurs when we dont listen to guru jis message.
  7. How do you tie your dastaar? Make sure there are no knots in your keski or dastar as this can cause headaches. When my dastar is too tight i normally use a sly to realese some pressure lol. Your dastar wont be affecting your vision like that though - definatly migranes and the eyes going funny is probabaly something called aura which occurs during migranes. Look at your lifestyle, diet etc. You drinking enough water and eating fruit and veg?
  8. Young Singh - One peice of advice for you and it will take your staright to the truth. Read about the lives of the leaders of both faiths and which ever side you feel is "better" follow that. Subtle hint for you - i have yet to come across anyone in this world who has given their head for another persons beleif even though they 100% do not agree with it, Dhan Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib! We have all forgotton the value of Gurshabad as we dont realise it's worth! We have diamonds and rubies sitting in the palm of our hands but the biggest problem is we have forgotton it's worth. Gurbani takes one to where it orginated i.e Sachkhand.
  9. Big_Tera I dont thinkyou have worded this post in the best way....interacial marriage could mean anand karaj between an apna and gorah/kala/alien but if both are Gursikhs it shouldnt even been discussed as an issue. Kal taaran guru nanak aaiya, guru sahib came to liberate the world not just punjabis. The problem occurs When we see people trying to have an anand karaj that are not Sikhs and dont beleive in Guru Granth Sahib Ji as being their eternal Guru and these weddings are nothing more than tamasha and for this we have to look at our own gurdwara commitees.
  10. First image that came into my mind after reading Sparkhill was Mr Khan All Singhs and Kaurs should do some form of martial arts...we call oursevles sipahis but the majority of us would slip a disk after throwing a few punches!
  11. I've been listening to this kirtan track whilst working - waheguru. Uplifting

  13. Using milk is a tradition from puratan times that is still being carried on. Milk is also considered pavitar. Floor of harmandar sahib is also cleaned daily with milk - seems likle this maryada has carried on from Guru ji's times.

(188) Kabeer, to use force is tyranny, even if you call it legal. When your account is called for in the Court of the Lord, what will your condition be then? (187) Kabeer, the dinner of beans and rice is excellent, if it is flavored with salt. Who would cut his throat, to have meat with his bread? (188) I wouldnt cut mine, would any of you?
  15. I wonder how many anti cow £5 noters would make a U turn on their stance if all employers started paying with new £5 notes cash in hand! Animal rights will go out the window . Waheguru!
