  1. I am not sure this is bhangra but it has good lyrics lol The lyrics are like a love song towards GOD anyway that is how I feel
  2. A good friend of mine said that look everywhere around you its all a miracle its all God's doing and God's play - life is a miracle in itself but we have become so accustomed to it that we think the world is not God's attribute.
  3. You are right keep it real. I think the aim of sikhi is about experiencing god through seva, naam and through daily activities. Looking for miracles or experiences that defy logic are just further entertaining illusions. It boils down to the fact that people cannot accept life but look for other ways so they can escape..
  4. Thank you everyone for replying to my post and I have truly learnt a lot. As others have stated its about the message and what we can learn from the stories be it hindu, sikh stories etc so we can better ourselves and be of service to others. I have come to understand that if a story defies logic then it has been exaggerated over time; normally by the followers of that religion. It kind of reminds me of the people saying so and so baba can see the future, heal the sick with his mere gaze and can levitate etc when most of the time the baba never proclaimed of any of this but the followers make stories up so they can big up their "guru/prophet/god". From now on I will take any stories as pinch of salt be it from sikhi, hinduism, islam etc rather look and the underlying message so we can better ourselves.
  5. I wonder sometimes how cool it must have been to be at that point in history(??) when god asked vishnu ji to take the form of half-man half-lion to save prahlad and when he shattered the pillar and rose from it . How cool it must have been to see a devotee's faith come ripe !? we don't see it happening thesedays ! too bad . so I am often forced to wonder , are all these mere stories or did these really happen ? after all gurbani does mention this epic too . So I don't think of it as nonsense . but did it really happen. I wonder . what do you think ?
  6. This sounds interesting. How have the past meetups been like in terms of how many people came? Also what activities did you do and what were the topics of discussion?
  7. Regardless of being Sikh or not women will choose someone who has the balls to approach them. Most of the amritdharis I know are too shy or if their parents find them someone they are too scared to phone the woman up. So I wouldnt say its muslim vs Sikh thing rather shy Vs brave thing. I've seen ugly guys pull hot women just due to confidence.
