  1. There is definitely longstanding global pedo networks in the west.
  2. I think this was one of the guys responsible for economic development: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Montek_Singh_Ahluwalia
  3. You know what's insane. I was talking to some Ghanian business men and teachers a while ago, and they have a lot of migration to that place from black people from UK/US etc. and are welcomed to help develop the economy over there. Our lot back home (if they didn't have that narrow minded, skull-duggery mentality), could have done this or at least have skilled, experienced people visit over there for sabbaticals to help train people and develop and modernise the economy. Just seems like a series of clannish, retarded decision and policy making going on?
  4. There's loads of this pedo-tourist industry in these foreign nations that comes from the west. It's not hard to identify these people. The government needs to act.
  5. I think 'bruin' is going to be the word of 2022. <does 'bruin' bhangra to celebrate>
  6. Veer ji I've been watching a few youtube videos with people restoring old tools, rusted guns etc. I don't think it would be remotely difficult to restore this kara, then we can maybe date it, and see if it is genuine i.e. machine made or hand crafted like it would have been in the past.
  7. You get the distinct impression that people within the panth have such divergent perspectives on the state of the quom, that they are almost in alternate universes...... What's disconcerting is that leadership and resources don't seem remotely concerned or utilised to actually develop Sikh society, especially in economic terms. Meanwhile everyone seems to be trying to run away from Panjab.
  8. 'To be fair, I don't think I would be much help shooting': British man, 37, who volunteered to join Ukraine's 'foreign legion' of fighters is rejected as a 'liability' by Kyiv after admitting he has no military experience Leon Dawson visited the Ukraine embassy in London to volunteer to fight He was told he would be a 'liability' and there are no resources to train him The gym-owner has now travelled to the Polish border to help refugees A British gym-owner who volunteered to fight for Ukraine despite having no military experience has been turned down because he would be a 'liability'. Leon Dawson, 37, visited the Ukrainian embassy in London last week offering his services for the foreign legion in the war against Vladimir Putin's invading forces. But Ukrainian officials turned down the Surrey businessman, who has never held a gun before, saying he would be a hindrance. He was told: 'We don't have the resources to train you, we don't have the time to train you either.' Dawson has now travelled to the Polish border with Ukraine with his friend Kai Portlock to help refugees and says he would still be willing to take up arms if necessary and die for the cause. Leon Dawson (pictured), who volunteered to join the Ukrainian army despite having no military experience, was turned down because he would be a 'liability' The 37-year-old visited the Ukrainian embassy in London last week offering his services in the fight against Vladimir Putin's forces Dawson is now travelling to the Polish border town of Medyka in a van full of food, medical supplies and children's toys, and he still hopes to enter Ukraine (pictured in Poland) He told Sky News: 'I'm not a stupid person. I understand war is way more than just people shooting. 'To be fair, I don't think I would be much help shooting. I haven't used a gun before, I don't know the language, I don't know the tactics. I would be better put to work doing something else.' Dawson was interviewed when he visited the London embassy on February 28 to volunteer. He said at the time: 'We've come to join the Ukrainian army, or whatever they're called, the foreign legion. 'We're young, strong, fit men, we can help so why not.' When asked if he had any military expertise, he replied: 'Absolutely none.' The embassy provided him with contact details to join the foreign legion, but his mission was aborted when he was later told: 'You'll be more of a liability than a help.' He was one of several volunteers wanting to take on Putin despite warnings they could be prosecuted on their return to Britain. Dawson is now travelling to the Polish border town of Medyka in a van full of food, medical supplies and children's toys, and he still hopes to enter Ukraine. He said his family are scared for his safety but he had to take action after hearing stories of women and children being killed. His friend Portlock said he wanted to help after a volunteer friend said orphans as young as three were arriving in refugee centres. He said: 'I was just willing to do whatever. We're happy to help. It's being realistic with what we can do, without being idiots.' Ukraine set up an 'international' legion after Volodymy Zelensky appealed for foreigners to come and fight against Russia. But the Foreign Office has said: 'If you travel to Ukraine to fight, or to assist others engaged in the conflict, your activities may amount to offences against UK legislation and you could be prosecuted on your return to the UK.' The British Army has also banned any personnel from travelling to Ukraine. According to the Foreign Enlistment Act of 1870, Britons are banned from fighting in a war with a country that the UK is 'at peace' with. Another man who visited the embassy intending to fight in Ukraine was Brian Grove, a 60-year-old former Territorial Army (TA) member from Kent. He told Sky News reporters he had 'decided to do something' to help under siege Ukrainians. 'I used to be in the TA, I've also got a lot of first aid training so I've decided to come and do something,' he said. Asked if he's prepared to fight, Mr Grove replies: 'Yes, I can get on a flight tomorrow.' But after sending off his details by email, he said he has not received a response. It comes as four British soldiers including a teenager paid to protect the Queen are feared to have gone AWOL after booking a one-way ticket to Ukraine. A 19-year-old member of the Coldstream Guards regiment, reportedly dropped his ceremonial duties as one of the prestigious Queen’s Guards in Windsor and signed up for Ukraine’s International Legion of foreign volunteer fighters. The shock development has sparked panic at the Ministry of Defence, with security chiefs racing to intercept the teenager in case Russia tries to claim that Britain has entered the war if active army soldiers are found fighting on the frontlines. The soldier reportedly wrote to his parents before booking a one-way ticket to Poland over the weekend with an intention to then cross the border into Ukraine. He has since posted a photo of his boots on Snapchat, according to The Sun. When Putin launched his brutal war to ‘demilitarise’ and ‘de-Nazify’ Ukraine, he warned foreign powers tempted to intervene that they would ‘face consequences greater than any you have faced in history’. Days later, the Russian despot put the Kremlin’s nuclear deterrent forces on ‘alert’, in a dramatic escalation of international tensions that sparked fear across the West. And in a chilling threat at the weekend, Moscow vowed to punish London for its support for Kyiv, ominously warning: ‘Russia will not forget Britain's desire to co-operate with ultra-nationalist forces in Ukraine and the supply of British weapons to the Kiev regime’. Ex-Army chiefs slammed the AWOL soldiers as ‘totally irresponsible’, and warned they could be jailed if they return to Britain. Until now, only former military personnel from the UK are thought to have signed up for Ukraine’s volunteer army, and serving members of Britain’s armed forces have been banned from joining the war effort. More than 20,000 people from 52 countries have already volunteered to repel the Russian invaders in Ukraine, where they will serve in a newly created international legion, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba said over the weekend. Foreign Secretary Liz Truss appeared to encourage Britons saying she would 'absolutely support' those who wished to sign up to fight as part of the Ukrainian armed forces. But lawyers then warned Britons could be prosecuted under UK terror laws - much like those who took arms for Kurdish militia forces against ISIS in Syria. Boris Johnson also waded into the debate, warning members of the so-called 'Lads Army' that they could be breaking British law by going over to Ukraine to fight. Defence secretary Ben Wallace also urged them not to travel, saying it is 'very dangerous' and they could get killed. https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-10594037/Briton-volunteered-fight-Ukraine-turned-liability.html?ns_mchannel=rss&ico=taboola_feed_article_desktop_news
  9. BBC Radio DJ Mark Page, 63, is found GUILTY of trying to arrange sex with children as young as 12 in the Philippines Presenter used business trips as a cover for perverted interest in underage sex Even tried to bargain down price for a sexual encounter with a girl, 12 and boy, 13 He said 3,000 pesos - around £44 at today's exchange rate - was too much A Radio One DJ was today convicted of using Facebook and Skype to arrange to have sex with children as young as 12 in the Philippines. Mark Page, who worked at the station in the 1980s, even tried to bargain down the price for a sexual encounter with a girl aged 12 and a boy of 13, saying 3,000 pesos - around £44 at today's exchange rate - was too much. The disgraced DJ, well known on Teesside as the match announcer at Middlesbrough FC games for 20 years until his arrest, had a lengthy career in broadcasting and set up a successful radio station for the British Army. He used frequent business trips to the Philippines, as well as charity work, as a cover for his perverted interest in underage sex. Former BBC Radio DJ Mark Page pictured outside Teesside Crown Court The 63-year-old divorced father-of-three was convicted of four out of five counts of arranging the commission of a child sex offence following a trial at Teesside Crown Court. The jury cleared him of one of the charges. Two of these offences were committed remotely from the UK in 2016, while two happened in the Philippines on separate trips made by Page in 2016 and 2019. Facebook alerted a charity following concerns raised about messaging on its platform. The charity informed UK law enforcement and Cleveland Police carried out a search warrant at his home in January 2020. The 63-year-old worked in British radio in the 1980s before becoming Middlesbrough FC’s match announcer Analysts studied a tablet, mobile phone and computer tower and checked his Skype activity, texts, bank account and money transfers before charging him. Page told the court that his devices had been hacked but did not mention this while he was being interviewed by police, as he gave 'no comment' answers, later explaining to the jury he was in shock. Jo Kidd, prosecuting, drew parallels with higher profile paedophiles than Page during her damning closing speech to the jury. Page, of Teesside, had no previous dealings with police and was of previously good character, but Miss Kidd said: 'Some of you may be old enough to remember Jim'll Fix It. 'You will remember watching It's a Knockout. 'You will remember revelling in the size of Gary Glitter's shoes. 'They were people who were spoken highly of, even people who were knighted by the Queen.' She said there was almost a 'state funeral' for Savile, with his golden coffin taken through the streets of Leeds. Miss Kidd continued: 'I am not saying this on the basis that just because Mr Page was a Radio One DJ, that it makes him guilty of these offences. 'But it is worth noting, when one puts on a public face, when one carries out charity work, it does not mean the underbelly of their sexual depravity is not real.' Page will be sentenced at Teesside Crown Court tomorrow. https://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-10594743/BBC-Radio-DJ-Mark-Page-63-GUILTY-trying-rape-children.html
  10. They've gone publicity hungry I guess?
  11. Is this Shaheed Baba Gurbaksh Singh Ji who wa shaheed defending Harmandir Sahib with his Singhs?
  12. Has anyone translated this? Veer ji, from what I understand the word kara is Farsi, but it doesn't have the connotations it does in that culture that it had (and has) in Sikhi (i.e. link to Khalsa and sarbloh concepts). If Baba Nanak Dev ji maharaj wore a kara and gifted it here, I don't think it means it was part of Sikhi practice (at that stage). And on a historical evidence perspective we have to be honest and say that we have little corroborating evidence of authenticity outside of word of mouth (which doesn't necessarily mean it's untrue). The granth is more fascinating and should be studied for dating purposes and to see if we have any unique interesting aspects that can shed light on its ithihaas. It should also maybe be fully and professionally digitised as time will will guarantee even more wear and tear. Sikh orgs should pay for this and maybe reward the owners financially for cooperation. I'm so glad this has been found. Thank you for sharing and thank Abinash for his efforts.
  13. Just so sangat can see where Orissa is in relation to Panjab: Also sangat, if I'm not mistaken blessed panj piara Bhai Himmat Singh ji Shaheed was from here too?
