  2. Try consulting your local Gurdwara Sahib. Some Gurdwaras take in old Gutka Sahibs and pothis that are going to be sent for agan bhet. Ask
  3. This is BAD NEWS. They haven't had an Amrit Sanchar at the Gurdwara for at least 15 years. Little to no Gurmat Parchar being done at the Gurdwara Sahib. Committee members just robbing everyone blind . The oldest Gurdwara sahib in vancouver has been turned into a business. And this will continue now for who knows how long.
  4. Thank you . We need to do more to promote the puratan nishan sahib colours with the dhaal , kirpaan, and kataar.
  5. Firstly I'd like to say I don't have much knowledge about these sort of things, so forgive me as I am still young. If someone could educate me that would be really appreciated At a local Gurdwara here in Canada, usually they have a stall and they had many books and gurbani gutkey. I don't usually go to this particular Gurdwara Sahib, but I have been going here recently again. I noticed they also had what looked like Darshan Ragi's autobiography, and Kala Afghana's Bipran Ki Reet Ton Sach Da Marag. This really bothered me so I straight up questioned him as to why they have books whose Authors were excommunicated by the Akal Takht . I also said you should not be promoting books that insult the fundamentals of Sikhism such as Amrit Sanchar etc. The guy at the stall was pretty kind and open though and he didn't seem to snap back at me (I guess he probably thought I was a young uneducated and naive dumala wearing Singh) Ok so the next part here is just a quick summary of how I remembered he answered my question: He explained that they were excommunicated by Joginder Vedanti for criticizing Gurbilas Patshahi 6ve , and how there was a huge arguement over that about a decade or so ago. He said katha of Gurbilas normally used to be done in Gurdwaras , and even he thought it was a good scripture, but then he said he realized there are very bad things said about Guru Sahibs. He claimed that a white Professor did a study of Gurbilas, and from her study she concluded that "Sikhs Are Bastards". He also went on to defend Kala afghana by saying he was only opposed to ritualism. Then he argued that the Jathedar Of the Akaal Takht also gave saropey to General Dyer , the killer of the Jallianwala Bagh Massacre. He argued Jathedars have also excommincated other sikhs before. Throughout the whole conversation, He avoided real issues in the books (Dasam Granth, Amrit Sanchar etc) , rather he explained why they were excommunicated and other history. At the end I just said " Look , I don't have much knowledge on this stuff because I am young , but I will question someone if it bothers me. I will only argue when I gain enough knowledge on the subject". Ill name the Gurdwara Sahib and the organization behind the book stall if anyone requests Forgive me for my mistakes
  6. Is Chaubis Avtar (BY Guru Gobind Singh Jee) A-describing the current cycle of incarnations that have occurred and will keep occurring (Prohpecy of a sort)? B- describing Hindu Mythology so that Sikhs can learn lessons from it? I also have faith in Guru Gobind Singh Jee's Bani, but it can be interpreted in different ways, and I am a moorakh and I can't understand what Guru Sahib is really trying to say.
  7. SAT SRI AKAAAL! Congratulations brothers. Lakh Lakh Vadaee!
  8. If there is shastardhari Khalsa, then no one should be able to invade? If there isnt khalsa then why khalistan in the first place
  9. How about a voluntary society? Then no one will ever be able to control the Panjab
  10. Nope. Reason is that the leaders will be politcally and economically illiterate. Doesn't ,atter which sant baba you put in control
  11. Recently there was an issue where there were puctures on instagram of UK Nihang Singhs wearing shoes while holding Nishan Sahibs. And some people also said it isnt maryada to wear blue kasheras as well , and that got me confused
  12. I am welcome to this idea, but SDGS and SSGS should not be prakashon the same level as SGGS. prakash should be very much lower, so that we show respect to our Guru. I have full faith and respect for Dasam Bani, but I think we need to remember our GURU is SGGS. Guru Granth Sahib Maharaj is our GURU, they are not just a granth. Although I do feel Dasve Patshah Dee Bani needs to return to our Gurdwara Sahibs And along with keeping nice shiny shastars prakash , I think we should also buy firearms and keep them locked up in a gun safe to protect the Gurdwara Sahib if need be. Shastars aren't only for show, contrary to popular belief.
  13. Typical illegal whining about not getting everything handed to them on a silver platter
