    I have no doubt UN screwed over Muslims in Palestine but the fact remains by the time partition of India was announced there was no such precedent.This precedent was set in November 1947 by then Punjab has been partitioned. And clearly you have seen how that decision has turned out.There is still fight going on for this land by Palestinians. What Sikhs were demanding was not possible. If britian had awarded those heavily Muslim areas to India, Muslim league would not have accepted the award and war would have started over Punjab.And today Punjab would have been an Internationally disputed area.

    I would not say that.Hindu have lost too much.Unlike Bengali Hindus who got their state.Punjab Hindus were not that lucky.

    If you take into consideration princely states , most of them were in East Punjab. Including princely states in East Punjab our share reduces to 58.97 % . And your land is fertile whereas we have two big deserts in Punjab and one plateau. Have a look at these stats.

    Clearly they were wrong to believe that.There was no such precedent in recent history where such factors were taken into consideration for division of land.If you have gotten all the areas which congress and sikhs claimed then we would have left with nothing but chankana.

    Interesting subject you have brought it up.May I know how you got so much information about this ? From gazetteers or from books ? Pardon my ignorance about this.I have always focused on 1941 census and so i don't know what was the situation before 1941 census took place.It would be good if u can suggest some good books on this migration.

    That's debatable. We might have lost the little bit of Azad Kashmir that today we have This instrument of accession was disputed by Pakistan.There is strong evidence to suggest Indian reached Kashmir before the instrument was signed. This original instrument was not produced and shown. You knew this all along when the subject of partition was brought up by Muslim League. This was bitter choice which you had to make.Just like we Muslims were not ready to submit to Hindu rule, same can be expected from Sikhs. For Sikhs joining Pakistan was out of question. Bro,whether you like it or not. Population matters and it definitely matters when dividing a country. Personally I don't see any problem with boundary drawn by Sir rad cliff. The reason I insisted on Gurdaspur is because it was no ordinary district it gave India a physical link with Kashmir. Losing a few Muslim majority tracts of land is though a loss but considering the fact it is first time we Punajbi Muslims got any real power and control of our own areas.Even during Mughal era no Punjabi Muslim was appointed Punjab's governor apart from Adina Beg of Jalandhar. So taking into consideration all these facts i think partition was worth it though not to our complete satisfaction.

    i have not read Guru Nanak's work so i can't say for sure. I've just started reading Oshoo's compilation of lectures in urdu Jeeven Bhed (secrets of life ). will get back to you once ive finished this book

    come on bro cut me some slack.I'm going through a passing phase, i don't think i'll be here for a long period.There was a time when i was obsessed with Islamic history,read a lot of stuff on it,then this phase passed,then i got interested in sikhism/sikhs and now i have developed interest in Oshoo; reading his work which is just amazing. So you gotta tolerate my presence for a few months at best till my interest in sikhism/sikhs fades.

    None give.You said i have not met any sikh or hindu who view abrahmic faith with their dhamric lense.And i told you there are plenty hindus. Whether they are educated or not.This was not point. My point there are people from dharmic religions who view abrahmic religion their dharmic goggles.

    That's what empire are for. Many empires used this tactic of divide and rule.And british did this in the most effective way and they were able to do only because there already existed discord in sub continent.Hindu Muslim divide was always there.They did not create it they just used it to their advantage.They did it many places though.For example in Iraq they gave political power to sunni minority over a shia majority country.Similarly in Syria they pitted alawite minority against Syrian Sunnis.In India they recruited a large number of Punjabi Muslims,Pathans and Sikhs in Indian army despite the fact that India was a hindu majority country.They could not afford to have so many Hindus in army.

    Same can be said of a sikh or hindu.When viewing Islam or Christianity they use dharmic lense. Anyway , considering Guru's ban on Halal way of meat (which is cruel btw) i was expecting same kind of clear cut approach in regards to slavery but sadly found none.

    Checked those stats.Kashmrirs increased Muslim percentage in Lahore district by just 1.89 percent.And Lahore district despite being majority Muslim was partitioned and a significant chunk of land in kasur tehsil of Lahore district was awarded to India; u can google old map of punjab and then compare it to recent borders and see the difference for urself.And it does not matter how many Kashmiri settled in Gurdaspur or Amritsar as these district eventually awarded to India. Partition was done on district basis not on division basis.And one more thing Kashmiri migration to Punjab was not a deliberate attempt to reduce non muslim poulation. Kashmiris came to Punjab for job opportunities, many settled in heavily Muslim majority districts in Rawalpindi division. Dogra Maharaja was not very kind towards Kashmiri Muslims;heavy taxes on kashmiri and no jobs in kashmir forced these kashmiris to migrate to Punjab and there is nothing wrong with it.

    I will check those stats in a while. And I know how this property ended up in your hands. Most Muslim lands were grabbed by sikhs and hindu money lender (for petty loans).This is what happened in my area.Once a Muslim took loan from any khatri it was impossible to repay the loan hence he had to hand over his property. After sikhs conquered Punjab, many muslim lands in gujranwala area were given to sikhs.When Muslim Chatta tribe failed to defend Gujranwala from Ranjit Singh. The land you lost in west Punjab was compensated by Muslim land in East Punjab.Though it was less than what sikh left behind in west punjab.

    Its time to move and accept reality.There was time when Mughals owned India but now they are nowhere to be seen.Similarly once romans ruled a large part of Europe now they are history.Always look to future.We should not be obsessed with past.

    Any source for this statment? Lahore has been under Muslim rule for a long time and muslim sufi missionaries were also active in this part.It is no wonder these areas became Muslim majority. Muslims were economicaly backwards that was also a factor which forced Muslims to demand Pakistan.Despite being majority Muslim province,Hindu and Sikhs were dominated in Punjab.

    Islam is two edged sword you can take any verse from it and use it for your personal gain.The point is we are not sure if that rapist was acting on the teaching of Muhammad or not (Rape is serious offence in Islam btw) may be he did so to take revenge.As rohangya Muslim women have been raped by peaceful buddhists. When you refuse to accept a group as citizen of your country and deny them citizenship merely on the basis that they are not part of Burmese society.And on top of that try to kill them and drove them out from your country,you're playing with fire.I hope no innocent Buddhist gets killed in the world for the action of these <banned word filter activated> Burmese.

    When you push someone against the wall he is definitely gonna fight back.Late King Abdullah gave 50 million us dollars for rohangya aid in 2012.May be some Arab dude with rich pockets helped them get weapons to defend themselves.There was an article in Hindustan times on Pakistan based militant groups helping incite violence Myanmar but i would not take it seriously.Indians have Pakistani phobia.They see Pakistani hand behind every sh!t that goes wrong in India or in world.I would not be surprised if tomorrow Indian media claims that Pakistan is behind Irma hurricane lol
