sorri i forgot to add the bibi that has started this topic thankyou so much for starting it....im sure it has created much needed awareness...also im sorri that you have had to go through these issues....but as everyone keeps saying(i no easier said than done)never loose faith in maharaj....whatever he does is for the best.... also to everyone just my opinion...avoid using photoes as in resteh...go straight into meeting the person....photoes just encourages people to judge you on appearence and says nothing for the beautiful characters that you all are.... bhul cuk maaf vaheguru ji

guru ji kee fateh to all i would like to thank bhenji for posting this topic as i think the mpore these type of situations are talked of openly the better....we need to create awareness of situations like these especially amonst the opposite sex... concentrating on the problems that bibiyan face....this is not only an issue for bibiyan amritdhari now but also bibiyan who may wish to come towards amrit in the generations to come....as a bibi i am always told how there are so few bibyan coming towards amrit and there are so many singhs, im always told how as a bibi it is my duty to encourage more bibiyan towards amrit....however what alot of people do not realise is that girls have no issues with other girls accepting them...there issue is that guys dont accept them....and this is an issue because though we see everyone as our brothers...we will have to get married one day...and if our brothers rip us for things such as facial hair etc...or not even rip us but simply have prefrences...then what chance do we have finding a partner. personally im not as stressed over these issues as of yet as i am not looking to get married anytime soon....however one thing that has helpt me recently with my confidence is that the singhs that i now not only dont judge on appearence but they openly talk to me about these issues and tell me how they wish they could help....well guys if you do wanna see bibiyan stop commiting kureht becasue of these issues than you need to show the female race that you accept them as gursikhs...because it is your NON-acceptance that they are scared of....it may be an insecurity but you can help fix this insecurity...alot of guys would ask why do we have to say it we beleve it isnt that enough...the thing is bibiyan cant read your mind....for someone thats paranoid that no-one will marry her because of her facial hair....those few words would mean the world.... i realise we shouldnt be insecure or paranoid and im not saying every bibi is....but i can see how this can affect you...and id hate to see bibyan commit kurehat because of such issues... i would like to say to all guys and girls think carefully what reasons u turn down resteh for...as that reason could have drastic effects on the opposite person and his or her rehat...be sensible...remember looks dont last forever... i apoligise for sounded one sided on this issue...im sure guys have there issues too and if bibiyan can help at all then just say....however i could only give a girls persective here as i am a girl. may maharaj help everyone especially myself become better gursikhs i apologise if i have affended anyone or said anything wrong or out of order... vaheguru guruji kee fateh

vaheguru bhaj i think u missin the point slightly....in my opinion...anything we do or think is paap if it doesnt remind us or take us closer to maharaj....so u really got to ask urself is this action/thought/sangat...aiding me in any way to get closer to vaheguru....if so then no not a paap...if so then it is.... ....looking at the issue it seems more important that you realise what paap is....paap isnt who and who u dont chill with but more importantly how u spend your time...and what you do with the time you have....any of us could die any second.... sorry for mistakes.... guru ji kee fateh

vaheguru ji kaa khalsa vaheguru ji kee fateh ok no1 has answered the question what the tilak mean and in what way it gets you closer to maharaj.....if it doesnt then why waste your time argueing over it???? regardless of wheather the guru sahibs were adorned with a tilak....no1 has been able to name the tilaks benefits to a sikh? personally it seems abit foolish that anyone representing sikhi would where a tilak....this is not in any way an attack on the ritual of the tilak whateva it mayb or on hindu culture....but its foolish because we as sikhs are finding it hard enough in this day and age to find our identity....in india we are still classed as part of the hindu faith....why make matters worse and confuse people even more by adopting rituals that are associated with the hindu faith.... im not debating that the gurus wore tilaks or not...although i do find it hard to beleve that they did, whoever wrote it....but unless someone can state its benefit....then it seems like, in my opinion those guys in the picture should not reali be allowed to represent sikhs as they are just making it harder for sikhs to establish an identity of our own outside the hindu faith.... bhul chuk maaf vaheguru ji kaa khalsa vaheguru ji kee fateh

waheguru ji kaa khalsa waheguru ji kee fateh sorry if i am repeating as i have not read all of the replys, however i can kind of understand where u are coming from as i have been in a similar situation myself.....without going in to to much detail the person that let me down was not only my closest friend but also a very close gursikh who i was very reliant on for my sikhi.....the best advice i can give you is sangat....realise maharaj is there for you.....not only will help you through your pain but he will also help you to forgive this person truley and help you build ur relationship once again...but all this takes time.....go into sangat meet more gursikhs....let them show you the path to maharaj.....all this will be old news in no tyme....u wnt even remember wat u faught ova....vaheguru good luck bhul chuk maaf waheguru ji ka khalsa waheguru ji kee fateh

i agree with you comletely.... no affence intended to Manchester Sikhi....i realise you on verge of marrige and if it all seems perfect then get married because no matter how beutiful u make it sound without those all important laaven...it means nothing....i am sorry if my words seem harsh....however if you are confused wheather you are doing the rite thing then ask for hukam from maharaj....but remember you have to obey no matter what the outcome as gursikhs we should have the same pyar for all....and that should only change for that one person when maharaj gives us hukam....and that hukam is in the laavan.... please dont change sikhi to suit yoour own situations.....maharaj has given every gursikh the beautiful power to see love in everyone and have love for everyone....dont confuse that love....if it meant to be with anyone then have faith in maharaj....he can do anything....bhenji u sed that we rely to much on destiny and karam....but u dont realise everything within his power....u cud try gettin out of the way of cars and maharaj will pull u rite back to the middle of the road...becus it is his beautiful hukam.....just have faith in him bhenj....if it meant to be with this person then maharaj himself will do ur anand karaj...and if not then that is also his beautiful hukam too...its karam no matter how much we tryand deny it....u say there is no forever marrige anymore becus of divorce....but there is and always will be....it is called anand karaj....kaljug will make this whole world corupt but bani, gurus hukam will always stay pure...u just have to have faith..."tera bhana meetha lageh" u say that if you marry someone then you have to at least have love for them...otherwise it false love....i dont beleve that can exist....because as gursikhs u have love for all.....and when u marry som1 u see that as maharajs hukam....and his hukam will always be truely loved by his gursikhs no matter who that person is.... u sed that to be 100% satisfied and happy as human beings would mean we are something more than humans.....however isnt that what we all aspire to be....something more than humans...gursikhs.... u say that we wouldnt be here on this world if we were happy and content and at one with vaheguroo...however if that is not our aim then we will continue to come back here 4 eternity....our gurus came to this very earth to show us it is possible......our aim is to find vaheguroo that is the promise we made...lets not stray from that just becus the target seems to far... a religions essence is god,vaheguro, allah....akaal purah....his hukam is everything....have faith bhenji all this may not apply to you...and im sorry if i have affended you at all...please forgive me i apologise if i have affended anyone.... vaheguru ji kaa khalsa vaheguru ji kee fateh
