  1. I always wondered if Belfast had Sangat and they had a Vaisakhi Nagar Kirtan, would the locals get confused and think it is an orange March?
  2. When I was growing up Northern Ireland was always on the news for it's troubles. There was always this friction between protestants/catholics and when I went to University there was Catholic guy from the Republic and a Protestant guy from Ulster. I thought that they would hate each other but actually they were good friends. This a comedy sketch from UK in the 90's, it is based on the Rev Ian Paisley. It may be considered politically incorrect now.
  3. I heard Black Irish relates to the shipwrecked Spanish Armada off the coast of Ireland. A lot of very dark haired Irish people descended from them.
  4. We have different dynamics to our community. We will become more British-like and less Punjabi-like. There will likely be some mixing but not to the extent which some people fear it to be.
  5. The Afro-Caribbean black and the British White have far closer links to one another. They are largely English speakers and of Christian background so that have a lot more in common with each other. Inter-marriage is a lot more common, which is why you are seeing more mixed race children. Eventually, with intermixing you will probably see less Black Afro-Caribbean and they will all look white. The predominant black community are the ones that come directly from Africa.
  6. It will be interesting to see how they act. This presents a steep learning curve.
  7. The minorities are a lot smarter and they can see the game. The mainstream media is doing it's level best to present the situation that all the minorities are in their camp. Sometimes just keeping quiet and not speaking and getting on with your life is a form of action.
  8. If you look at the battlefield at the moment (this is no means complete, probably needs more work on but it is like a chessboard) Left-leaning White liberal/Anarchists/thugs/Antifa+Black thugs+BLM+Mainstream Media+ Political institutions (Labour Party) Vs White Nationalists+Right Wing Thugs+ Former Military veterans+ Right Wing Media Outliers (who are either caught up in the middle who are on the peripheries): Apneh and other Asians Middle England and hoi polloi goreh Normal hoi polloi Kaleh Other minorities.
  9. What you will notice is that with this victimhood narrative is that it starts to eat itself. This becomes a monster in itself. The blacks turn on the asians. Example with Priti Patel being accused of not understanding racism by two female MPS (one black and another Muslim). The elites are trying their best to plan friction but sometimes these things have the opposite effect of what they are trying to achieve. We do have to be smarter, we know what has happened but we need are steps and measures. We need some strategies. Sometimes the best strategy is to do nothing. We should not be going to these marches and demonstrations. Just sit back and watch what is going on. We are dharmics from the subcontinent and our brains is quite capable of thinking in multi-dimensional contradictory ways. We have the intellectual capacity to learn very quickly. We can't always know what the elites are planning but I think we have the guile to be ahead of the game even from them to the point where they become predictable.
  10. The elites think they are smart but there is someone much smarter and that is Maharaj. Maharaj's hukam is what rules and the agitations deliberately created by the elites will be scuppered.
  11. We have a habit of conflating self-deprecation with humility.
  12. I have seen this type of Pakistani Muslim woman. They are quite stuck up and think they are quite superior to the rest of holloi polloi. She may be a proud Urdu speaker and it would be beneath her to speak Punjabi but I can guarantee behind closed doors she listens to a lot of Punjabi music and even dance to it.
  13. I received a change.org request to remove the Gandhi statue in Leicester. Leicester has a big Gujerati population and I am sure they will object to this. For Gujerati and Hindus he will be seen as a hero. It starts with removing slave trader's statues and then moves on to other things. I can sign this petition because I don't like Gandhi but my concern is they came for the goreh, then they come for the gujjus. There are statues in the UK commemorating our soldiers, what if some demented lefties come after those?
  14. If there would be large sections of the sangat that were not Punjabi, it would be a lot easier. However, this is not the case.
  15. You are correct. However, they miraculously discover their Punjabi roots when it suits them.
  16. It will never be as big. However, it has made a dent in Bollywood. Since Bollywood is an industry that has been largely started and run by Punjabis, they will have a very keen eye on the development of Punjabi film industry. What also needs to be understood is that the Punjabi diaspora is big. It would not surprise me if the Punjabi cinema overseas is cutting into the profits and revenue of Bollywood overseas.
  17. The advent in the rise of Punjabi cinema and the decline of Bollywood has made the formally pre-partition Lahore based HP Khatris in the industry quite butt hurt. Punjabi cinema it seems to have popularised the Sardar in a more masculine and positive light. I am not a big fan of the likes of Ammy Virk or Diljit Dosanjh but they have definitely improved the image of the Sardar. A Sardar has been showed can be a leading man in a romantic role who gets the girl. The jealous HP Khatri of Mumbai is now trying to jump on the bandwagon and try to make the Sardar into a bafoon again. Bollywood is a dying industry. I cannot even name a recent film and I could not even name a single up and coming actor. They just seem to be throwing models in there.
  18. I got some more ideas for NY Sikhs. We need to hand out Langar for: - Thanksgiving parade - Gay Pride - St Patrick's Day
  19. I think I have been to that gurdwara in Queens. I recognise that Langar Hall. These are the same Sikhs who prefer to live in Queens to Brooklyn because it is better to pay a few hundred dollars a month more in rent because they don't want to live in a 'kallu ' area (their words not mine). They hate kaleh because there have been so many 711/cab drivers mugged /robbed /killed . These same Sikhs are now are running to Long Island. We feed these "BLM" protestors, question is whether they will remember what we Sikhs have done for them, or whether they will carry on robbing and looting.
  20. That's because we hold ourselves to a higher standard.
  21. That is the problem, it comes off looking being a bit needy. It looks like just a big PR stunt and we take a few pictures with media with our smiley faces and we expect a pat on the back. It makes us looking a bit needy in that we need approval from others.
  22. That's what we are good for these days, handing out free food! Any event, catastrophe that is happening in the world, we will be doing the catering!
