    Babaji, I didn't refer anybody as a fool here. Please read my post again, I just said that why do u have to question Bhai Gurdas Ji? If it did hurt u, I'm sorry. Sanatanism is not always wrong babaji, Sikhs have linjs to vedant and that is why u would find great Mahapurakhs giving examples from Vedant and Shastras.
  2. This has been told by gyani ji many times in katha, will post it asap.
  3. Aarti-Aarta. Aarti aarta is a prayer that is composed of two halves, aarti & aarta. Within the Budha Dal Aarta is actually sung before Aarti however in Dal's such as Baba Bakale the bani is sang in the opposite order. Aarti is made up of shabads from Guru Nanak Dev Ji that were spoken upon seeing the Hindu's performing aarti to idols, aarti also includes shabads from many bhagats such as Bhagat Kabir, Bhagat Danna and many more that inturn instill the spiritual aspect of the Khalsa. The second half named Aarta is a combination of compositions from Guru Gobind Singh Ji Maharaaj from almost every single Bani from Jaap Sahib to Zafarnama (even including shabads from Sri Sarbloh Granth) to instile the warrior aspect of the Khalsa. The Aarti Aarta worship is perfomed in two ways, either seated via kirtan form, or standing in chaal form. During chaal form there are many aspect of maryada that are carried out: there is a thaal which contains small ghee lamps made from flour and thoof (incense). There is also one Singh who will be given duty of ringing a bell, one Singh who will be given duty of blowing a Sank (shell horn) and one Singh who will be given the duty of sprinkling rose water. Flowers are also thrown during specific parts of the Paath. "Sankhan kee dhun kantan kee kar phoolan ki barakhaa barakhaavai" It is at this point flowers are thrown, horns are blown, bells are rang and rose water is thrown. This is infact how Guru Nanak Dev Ji describes how the devte did pooja of Satguru Nanak when they came to this earth for the first time. You may ask the question "why do we not see this form of veneration in day to day Gurdwareh?" - well this was infact a day to day occurance within almost all Gurdwareh during pre-colonialisation and before the SGPC took over control of the Takhts from the original vanguards of the Takhts the Shiromani Panth Akali Budha Dal. However Aarti-Aarta in its puratan (traditional) form is still performed in Takht Sri Hazoor Sahib, and Panjwa Takht Shiromani Budha Dal till this day. *description continues in comments* The often question that arises is "why is a thaal used if in the first shabad Guru Nanak Dev Ji states that the thaal is the cosmic plate and the sun and moon are the lamps?" But if we were to apply this same princible to the rest of the bani Maharaaj also says that the thoof is the 'beautiful sandlewood smelling air' so does this mean we should stop using thoof now too because Maharaaj has stated a different eay to view thoof, just as Maharaaj has described a different way to view the deeveh. Another common statement that is put foreward is why is thoof and deeveh used when we now have electricity. Deeveh are used to uphold the maryada of the Gurbani, if we again applied this same thinking to other factors then we may aswell start giving out smarties for parshaad as karah prashaad is infact a 17th century thing. Or how about we take away a chaur sahib and put mini fans around Satguru Granth Sahib Ji. Even better yet how about we take Maharaaj's saroop away and place an ipad in the middle with a pdf file, thats a 21st century way to do things or infact we could take away thoof and place bottles of febreeze around maharaajs thabiya. Thoof has been used for many centuries, it was used by the Moughal emperors and Hindu Hill Rajas to make them smell nice after a shower, it was a sign of royalty and king ship. Is Guru Granth Sahib Ji Maharaaj not royalty? Are they not worthy of such royal treatments? Till this day the Akali Nihang Singh Khalsa still perform Aarti Aarta to full maryada on all jorhmeleh and every night also, it is told within the Budha Dal Amritsanchars that aarti aarta is meant to be read straight after Sodar Rehras Sahib in the evenings. For those of you who havent yet experienced Aarti-Aarta find out when your next Nihang Singh program is and go along and see countless fauj singing the praises of Akaal Purkh and Satguru Nanaks creation.

    It was prophecised by Ved Vyas and Patanjali Yogi that in the Kalyug Akaal Purakh will come in the form of Nanak and make his followers to recite WaheguruWhen the followers of Ved Vyas asked him that if u know that Parmeshwar will make his followers to recite Waheguru Mantra, why didn't u give us Waheguru Mantra to recite? Then Rishi Ved Vyas said, "We don't have much kamai to revite the mantra." Why do u have to question Bhai Gurdass Ji? Remember, Bhai Gurdass Ji were the likhari of Kartarpur wali Bir. Many mahapurakhs have said, "Ek veri Waheguru kehan naal Sikh da Chaaro Jugaan da Jaap ho janda ae."
[Nau Nidh speaking] "Oh Lord, you have created a new [religious] Path, you have created a new dress and have kept your Kesh [unshorn hair]. ॥3॥ Guru Ji, helper of the poor, why have you kept Kesh as a part of your dress ? Hearing the words [of Nau Nidh], Guru Ji said, "You have studied many Shaastras" ਪੜ੍ਹਨ ਸ਼੍ਰਵਨ ਮਹਿਂ ਬੈਸ ਬਿਤਾਈ ॥ 4॥ "You have spent your life listening and reciting the Shaastras, yet you have not come to realize the answer" ਧਰਮ ਰਖਨਿ ਕੇਸ਼ਾਦਿਕ ਭਲੇ ॥ Adorning Kesh is beneficial to keeping one's Dharam, since the start of time this has been the tradition. 5॥ In the great land of Bharat [india], keeping Kesh is an exalted part of Dharam. Listening to the answer, Nau Nidh replied, "what you have said is true. 6॥ Everyone used to keep their Kesh, however times have changed." 7॥ Guru Ji replied, "How have times changed? The same sun remains, the same moon, water, wind, fire and Earth remain. How can you blame time? Blame yourself for not being able to keep Kesh, speak the truth Nau Nidh. 8॥ You do not have the strength to keep Kesh so you dismissively blame the times for changing. The body is created by Eshvar [The Lord], He has created humans beautiful and respectful. 40॥ Out of all parts of the body, the head is the highest, and adorning Kesh [unshorn hair] on top of one's head the body becomes beautiful. This is only an excerpt from the passage, there is a portion which has not been included where Guru Gobind Singh Ji outlines how the tradition of keeping kesh has eroded in both Semitic and Eastern religions.
  6. Why do u have to question a Gyani? Why would Gyani Jee lie in front of Aad Sri Guru Granth Sahib Jee?

  8. Sri Guru Gobind Singh ji Maharaj Ne Dasam Granth Saheb vicho kai vaar aneka prakara naal SHASTAR di mahanta te SHASTAR nu Namskaar karde hoye kai phanktiya ucharan kite han Shastar nu banaun wale parmatma nu jap k Shastar astar saja k Jo Singh Tyaar bhar tyaar Rahega te apne Darshan devega.. mein ustho Balehare janda ha.. All the kings and pupers who have come into being, are sure to be killed by KAL. All the Lokpals, who have come into being, will ultimately be mashed by KAL. Those who meditate on the Supreme KAL, the wielder of the sword, they firmly adopt innumerable measures for protection. Those who remember KAL, they conquer the world and depart. ਜੈ ਤੇਗੰ  ਜੈ ਤੇਗੰ ਜੈ ਤੇਗੰ There has to be a prescribed method for respect. Applying blood-tilak, dhoof, other fragrances and cleaning the shastars has been a method of respect since many ages. There is always a prescribed method for paying respect. As for oue elders we are supposed to obey their orders. Questioning, why do u have to obey them doesn't make any sense. Shastar tilak has been going on since many ages and will continue to happen even if we don't exist. Kintu-Parantu is not good at all, it might be good for wordly education but not for religious education.
  9. ਸਰਬ ਕਾਲ ਹੈ ਪਿਤਾ ਅਪਾਰਾ ॥ ਦੇਬਿ ਕਾਲਿਕਾ ਮਾਤ ਹਮਾਰਾ ॥ As for Kal Tuhi Kali Tuhi Tuhi Teg Ar(u) Teer|| Tuhi in the tuk (4 times) refers to Akaal Shatki.
  10. This was for other guys veerah. U are a gyani.
  11. Waheguru Ji ka Khalsa Waheguru Ji ki Fateh Unless we understand what does Kali/Durga in Sikhi context stands for, we would keep on questioning everything even our history. Listen to Giani Inderjeet Singh Jee-s katha.
  12. Read Episode 66 of PANTH PRAKASH by Shaheed Ratan Singh Bhangu, it might clear things up.
  13. My friend's dad started doing Chandi Di Vaar along with his Nitnem. One day after doing the paath while he wad putting the sword back into its myaan his finger got a cut and blood oozed out. After some months (maybe two) the sword started shaking while he used to do the paath. So, uncle ji did an ardass in front of Chandi that it would be difficult to tilak the Shastar with blood although he would use nariyal's (coconut) water. So when the Shastar used to shake nariyl's jal was applied. This does not really mean that nariyal's water can be a goid alternative to blood. Living in a city it was really difficult for him to do jhatka so he did ardass and was ful-filled. Rest is on the Shardha u have.
