  5. http://babagurbachandasunawale.blogspot.co.uk/ Sant Gurbachan Daas Una Sahibwale were a sanyasi saint belonging to the Sikh religion. They were born into the Sikh jatt caste late 18th century or early 19th century AD in village Sandhawa, Pharalla, Jalandhar, Punjab, India. They had two children named Sohan Singh and Darshan Singh. Sant Ji were born named as Jagat Singh and even till today there lineage in his home village are known as "bhagata ke" i.e,of saints lineage. Jagat Singh had one brother who's name was Hazara Singh. Later when Jagat Singh joined other saints of the sanyasi order he was named as Gurbachan Dass. Little is known about who there spiritual Guru was but it is believed that they had stayed with great spiritually enlightened persons at the time such as Sant Baba Hari Singh Kaharpurvale and Sant Baba Javala Singh Harkovalvale. Through oral tradition from his home village of Sandhawa, people learnt how Gurbachan Das foretold of the upcoming death of his young wife and that she would give birth to two sons. After the demise of his partner, the saint began spending more and more time in deep meditation. Some of the villagers built a small hut for him on some nearby farmland. His brother was entrusted with looking after his two small children. Baba Gurbachan Daas would spend the nights standing in water up to his knees practicing Hath Yog (meditation through physical discipline). From this period very little is known about his life except that he used to visit his birthplace infrequently. He became a wandering sanyasi saint and would stay with sant mandalis (groups). It is believed that Sant Hari Singh of Kaharpur used to send them to his home village to beg for alms as a test to see whether he falls back into the attachment of leaving his children behind. Baba Ji used to also go to the Kumbh Mela. It is widely believed that Saint Ji had received spiritual enlightment, through continous and immense spiritual practice and discipline. Many people have had the chance to meet them. It is believed that Gurbachan Daas blessed many people that came and seeked his blessings. Some have said that they have achieved material wealth and financial success by blessing. Towards the later stage of their life they stayed at Una Sahib near Anandpur Sahib where they used to live in mountainous area. There they found a cave and also developed the cave further to make a room from it, where they stayed for the remainder of there lifetime. Oral tradition states that tigers used to come and sit by him whilst he would continue his repetition of mantras and reading of the Sri Guru Granth Sahib, the Sikh holy scriptures. Baba Ji used to go down the hill to the villagers from where they used to beg for alms. Today a beautiful Sikh Temple has been built close to this cave by a single wealthy person. It is believed that this unknown person had some prayer answered and in return he had the temple built in remembrance of this great sadhu. Baba Gurbachan Daas lived to the age of 90 though this is unconformed. He died out of old age and it is believed that he did not suffer from any serious health problems.

  11. In relation to posts here about the loss of life in a calamty war - i would like to say that if you want peace on earth you have to wage war. The loss of life will be a lot less in the long term when compared to the suffering of humanity today. What has modern society and the "civilized world" ever achieved. The whole world is in a terrible state. Look at each country indivudually all you see is exploitation, poverty. poor government policies, ethnic cleansing, extremism, violence, crime. Everyone is suffering be it rich or poor, illiteracy, drug abuse, stress, mental health problems, deprivation, privation, nuclear wars, Iraq war for oil, Taliban jihadist, crashing planes into sky scrapers. Environmental damage, pollutions, all the fish are gone in the sea, all the animals are extinct. The list is endless. GOD BRING ON WORLD WAR 3 THE WORLD NEEDS A GOOD THOROUGH CLEANING
  12. are far as i know it is ofcom that regulates all media in UK channels use platforms ie, Sikh channel on Sky TV, sky TV use a different platform who own satellites etc Asian private/Channels on Sky have to pay Sky to use their platform. Colours tv are independent of Sky just like Sikh Channel I personally shall be complaining to them. What we need is a legal complaint that would be a lot more stronger than an individual complaint. The other we can do is raise awareness through media about this blasphemous drama and then boycott the channel dont watch it.....I know this Colours is a subscription channel, dont subscribe to it, terminate your subscriptions....I know alot of my mothers and sisters love to watch this sort of rubbish
  13. The Sikh nation and its institutions need to dialogue with the dera ballan, so far there has been a lack of that and by the governemnt in Punjab. Sweeping this under the carpet will only cause further serious problems in the future and worsen the state of Punjab. In my opionion Dalits should have the right to autonomy and self determination. This is the least that the Hindutva Right wing GOI can do for these downtrodden citizens who they themselves (Vedic traditions/orthodox hinduism) have enslaved for aeons never mind centuries
  14. Signs of Qiyamah (Doomsday) Hazart Abu Musa Al Ashari narrates that The Holy Prophet Sallahu Alaihi Wasallam (May Allah send peace and blessings upon him) said: "Qiyamah will come.... * When it will be regarded as a shame to act upon Quranic injunctions. * When untrustworthy people will be regarded as trustworthy and the trustworthy will be regarded as untrustworthy. * When the liars will be regarded as truthful and the truthful will be regarded as liars. * When women with children become displeased (on account of them bearing off-spring) and barren women remain happy (on account of having no responsibility of off-spring). * When decisions will be given on mere conjecture (wild guesses). * When legislation in matters pertaining to my right (religion) is handed over to the worst elements in my Ummah, and if people accept them and are satisfied with their findings, then such persons will not smell the fragrance of Jannah. * When the off-spring become a cause of grief and anger (for their parents). * When Islam will become a stranger (unwanted religion). * When Malice and Hate will become common among people. * When Islamic Knowledge (Ilm) is lifted. * When people will boast upon their palatial mansions. * When oppression, jealousy and greed become the order of the day. * When lies prevail over the truth. * When people dispute over petty issues. * When people blatantly follow their passions and whims. * When immorality overtakes shamelessness and is perpetrated publicly. (Al Hadith) Al Hadith is the Book that contains the sayings, life and prophecies of Hazrat Mohammed Sahib, the founder of Islam http://www.inter-islam.org/faith/Signs-Of-Qiyaamah.htm
