  2. Singhni Pen Jee, usually one reaches the stage of depression, sadness, anger, when one thinks that things do not work as per our expectations or wishes, after several repetitions of those moments, they leave a very deep impression in our minds and hearts. You have to become strong, nobody can do anything in your aid, if you do not respond positively. Forget for a moment, what you are going through, and try to take an impulse and make a new start. Karmas play a vital role in our lives; we simply do not know when or why they strike us, but for sure, it is all settlement of karmas. Remove all negativity from within, especially for pyare Wahiguru, have no ill thoughts for Him. Do not entertain any negativity towards Him. You see, He knew even before you were born, what you were going to go through, due to your karmas; and inspite of all that huge bad stock of karmas, He, out of His infinite love for you, gave you a human form, so that, inspite of all the karam seeds you have sow in your past uncountable lives, still, you could make the most of it, and with the soap of His Name and the water of His Grace, you wash and erase all your karmas, and become fit to merge in Him. Just have a look, around yourself and see, that if you miss this blessing of Guru Jee as a human being, and fall in the lower joonees, do you think you will be at peace, where one live depends on others lives, there is only pain, suffering and agony, no mercy, there wher the law of the stronger prevails, by killing others....or for example in the vegetable kingdom, where trees are alive for several hundreds of years .... how can one ever think of Him, in any of the lower subhuman joonees? And if one can not think of Him or do His bhakti, how can one ever attain mukti? Your "man" or mind is an agent of Kal Purukh, who does not want any single soul to escape from this his mayavee creation, so he has spraed the bweb of karam and maya, so that the souls keep wandering endlesslyin the cycle of births and deaths.... from one joonee to another, then also, it is by cumulative stock of good karmas during many lives, which brings us in the human form, so pen jee if one slips down willingly, then sorry to say, there are no greater fools than us... for exchanging a million dollar cheque for a handful of stones. Wahiguru knows all about our weaknesses, but He being faithful to His dayavan nature, He blesses us with a human life, and makes available His bhakti for us, so that we uplift our surtee from mayavee koor kaynaat, to the Aad Sach level, and merge in Him, becoming one with Him. That also without spending any money or doing any hardships, or going to any special places. He says, be still and repeat my holy Name with love and devotion, and I shall myself come and take you to my abode, your True everlasting Home, namely Sach Khand. Next time your mind tries to put you down, give it hard punches by repeating Wahiguru, Wahiguru Wahiguru, in due time, it will get defeated, just do not loose hope. Even up to your last breath, if apparently you see no progress, do not worry much, if you hold on to His name, He will pull you out, you shall not go in lower joonees. Such is His apaar mahima. God bless you Sat Sree Akal.
  3. Visar naahee ayvad daatay We ask for many things from our Sachay Patshah Akal Purukh, and He bountifully satisfies our desires. This may be our reason of pain and sorrow, and our continuity in the wheel of 84. But Dhan Dhan Satguru Sachaya Patshah Guru Arjun Dev Maharaj, tells us in His following bachans below, what to really ask from Him. saa buDh deejai jit visrahi naahee. Give me that state of mind, by which I may not forget You. saa mat deejai jit tuDh Dhi-aa-ee. Give me that understanding, by which I may meditate on You. And, when He grants this our sincere Ardaas at His Lotus Feet, something extraordinary takes place within us: saas saas tayray gun gaavaa ot naanak gur charnaa jee-o. I sing Your Glorious Praises with each and every breath. Nanak takes the Support of the Guru's Feet. We start singing His wadeeayee, and get His sarnagatee, by placing ourselves at His Lotus Feet. Sat Sree Akal.
  4. The sadness or depression enter and settle themselves within us, when there is a vast emptiness, so they feel comfortable, and then it is difficult to throw them out, just as the same with all other vikaars. So the best remedy is to fill that void within us, with positivity, with the source of all virtues and supreme bliss. And this brother, is nothing else, than Wahiguru Akal Purukh. You may ask how is that made possible? Well, if someone calls us, we do go upon being called. In a similar way, keep calling Him, through His simran. He will for sure come running and permeate each cell of your being. And as all lovers, He is also jealous. Means, remove all hopes, any expectations from others, and firmly take sharan in Him with utmost love and faith. This simple jugtee is enough to sack out all vikaars hidden or manifest, and make room for Him only, our beloved Wahiguru Akal Purukh. For where He is, in His Jot swaroop, there is no room for any darkness, little or big... Sat Sree Akal.
  5. "NOT AS HAPPY AS U" Sometimes in life... We feel so blue, But someone, somewhere is not as happy as U. Somewhere far... At the border When a soldier sleeps, Missing his loved ones He silently weeps. Somewhere a mother Painfully sighs... Coz Her new born baby Didn't open her eyes. Somewhere a poor dad Silently cries... When he sees his son Begging for a bowl of rice. Somewhere... In an orphanage A little girl's sad, When she misses her Mom n dad. So at times... A reason to smile U may not have any, Say to urself that U're happier than many... Coz Life is beautiful and Its not always blue... And someone, somewhere Is not as happy as U... Love the life you live ....
  6. If you develope the habit of praying for others you will never need to pray for your ownself. What we desire, is not always what we get, but unknowingly many times we get much more things than we expect These are called Blessings.... We often think when things change we will be happy. But the truth is when we are happy things will change Ability is a good thing, but stability is even better. The only reason why the earth has gravity..! Is to remind us to keep our feet on the ground in all situations of our life..!
  7. Dear Lucky Jee, indeed a beautiful Shabad of Guru Jee. You have also been since long on this forum, you have also seen some insipid people here in the present and not so recent past. As seen in the very first verse above of First Patshahee, where He says : Nānak fikai boli▫ai ṯan man fikā ho▫e Which means, the body and mind become insipid, of those who speak insipid words, which implies also, the eyes, the ears, and the tongue of that person are also insipid, thus the Truth of the paviter Bani, does not enter their being, consequently, the words they speak are also insipid. They are so filled with insipidity, that the paviter Bani has no place to enter, and bring sipidity in them, and that mainly is due to their selfish hankar, on which they cling proudly So the problem arises, when that insipid person, hears or sees any sipid words, that person, starts pouring out the inspidity carried within, because that is what they carry with themselves wherever they go. We are not saints either, thus as a reaction to their inspidity, one unwillingly pays them with their own insipidity. That also, after gentleness was given a couple of chances, but it did not work; on the contrary, it was wrongly perceived, that gentleness was out of some type of fear of their insipidity. You have also been a witness to some insipid people here, just as Barinder Singh and his boss Balbir Singh.... it seems, that insipid Barinder Singh, is still present undercovered with a different ID. On the contrary side, I would also say, the rest of the sangat here, is very caring, helpful, and sincere above all, each one giving their 2 cents, to keep moving this forum forward. I sincerely wish, all of us try and become sipid, because when we become sipid, then only the positive changes will take place within us, just as like being a Gursikh. The Shabad above of first Patshahee, though short, gives us the message, that the process of becoming one with Wahiguru as our goal, starts from changing ourselves from inspidity to sipidity. Thanks Lucky Jee, for providing above this sweet Shabad of Dhan Dhan Satuguru Nanak Dev Maharaj. Sat Sree Akal.
  8. Being selfless Forget your own happiness, by creating a little happiness for others. Because, when you are good to others, you are the best to yourself. Just remember... the things you do for yourself, are gone, when you are gone. But, the things you do for others, remain as your legacy. BEHAVIOUR Is always Greater than Knowledge Because there Are Many Situations Where Knowledge fails But, behaviour, Can Handle everything. In a similar way, we may not understand all the gyan given to us by Guru sahiban, but, we can at least be good Gursikhs, with all the virtues implied in being so, purity, humility, faithfullness to Guru Jee. Sat Sree Akal.
  9. The Power of Prayer Dr. Mark, a well-known cancer specialist, was once on his way to an important conference in another city where he was going to be granted an award in the field of medical research. He was very excited to attend the conference and was desperate to reach as soon as possible. He had worked long and hard on his research and felt his efforts deserved the award he was about to obtain. However, two hours after the plane took off, the plane made an emergency landing at the nearest airport due to some technical snag. Afraid, that he wouldn’t make it in time for the conference, Dr. Mark immediately went to the reception and found that the next flight to the destination was after ten hours. The receptionist suggested him, to rent a car and drive himself down to the conference city which was only four hours away. Having no other choice, he agreed to the idea despite his hatred for driving long distances. Dr. Mark rented a car and started his journey. However, soon after he left, the weather suddenly changed and a heavy storm began. The pouring rain made it very difficult for him to see and he missed a turn he was supposed to take. After two hours of driving, he was convinced he was lost. Driving in the heavy rain on a deserted road, feeling hungry and tired, he frantically began to look for any sign of civilization. After some time, he finally came across a small tattered house. Desperate, he got out of the car and knocked on the door. A beautiful lady opened the door. He explained the matter and asked her if he could use her telephone. However, the lady told him that she doesn’t have a phone or any electronic gadget but told the doctor to come inside and wait till the weather improved. Hungry, wet and exhausted, the doctor accepted her kind offer and walked in. The lady gave him hot tea and something to eat. The lady told him that he can join her for prayer. But, Dr. Mark smiled and said that he believed in hard work only and told her to continue with her prayers. Sitting on the table and sipping the tea, the doctor watched the woman in the dim light of candles as she prayed next to what appeared to be a small baby crib. Every time she finished a prayer, she would start another one. Feeling that the woman might be in need of help, the doctor seized the opportunity to speak as soon as she finished her prayers. The doctor asked her what exactly she wanted from the God and enquired if she thought God will ever listen to her prayers. He further asked about the small child in the crib for whom she was apparently praying. The lady gave a sad smile and said that the child in the crib is her son who is suffering from a rare type of cancer and there is only one doctor Mark who can cure him but she doesn’t have money to afford his fee and moreover Dr Mark lives in another far off town. She said that God has not answered her prayer so far, but said that God will create some way out one day, and added that she will not allow her fears to overcome her faith. Stunned and speechless, Dr Mark was in tears which were rolling down his cheeks. He whispered, God is great and recollected the sequence of events. ….there was malfunction in the plane, a thunderstorm hit, and he lost his way; and all of this happened because God did not just answer her prayer but also gave him a chance to come out of materialistic world and give some time to the poor helpless people who have nothing but rich prayers.
  10. FOCUS ON PERSONAL OBJECTIVES A youth went to the church father and said “father, I won't be going to church anymore.” The Fr. responded “But why?” The youth said “Ah! I saw a sister speaking bad of another sister; a brother that can't read well; the worship team living wrong; people looking at their phone during service;among so many other things wrong in the church.” The Fr. replied “OK. But before you go, do me a favor: take a full glass of water and walk three times around the church without spilling a drop on the floor. Afterwards, leave the church if you desire.” The youth thought : too easy! And he walked three times around as the Fr had asked. When he finished he told the pastor he was ready. And the Fr. asked “When you were walking around the church, did you see a sister speaking bad about another sister?” The youth replied “no.” “did you see anyone looking at their phone?” “No” “You know why?” “No” “You were focused on the glass, to make sure you didn't tip it and spill any water. It's the same with our life. When our mind is focused on our own objectives, we don't have time to get distracted by others` actions/karam .”
  11. Brother, prashad is sacred, extreme care, precutions, should be taken to not let it fall down. It is more precious than any valuable items, jewellery or money. It is just not something eatable, but rather something pure, blessings, from Guru Jee to Sangat, through sewadars. The sewadar should be very attentive, and feel blessed, by doing that sewa of prashad distribution, though no sewa is small in His eyes, but where prashad is concerned, extreme care should be taken. Sat Sree Akal.
  12. Thanks for supporting my point, it can well be seen you being nervous for your lies, thus you pour out your filthy inconsistencies. Go on like that, the more you bark, the more, people will know your foolishness and lies. You are like a dog´s tail, which even by putting into a pipe to get it straightened, it does not, rather the pipe gets curved
  13. Brother, I do not think, sikh community has lost its sense of sarbat da bhalla. You see not alll are at the same spiritual level. Some are more attracted to the base of Sikhee, the Bani, while others are still spiritually growing, so they are busy with other aspects of the community, but for sure, all are trying to give their best according to their own virtues and capacity. All khalsas / sikhs, are dear to Wahiguru, for this their attitude of being noble and pure. Sat Sree Akal.
  14. I call him brahamanvadee, not becuase he promotes hindu dharam, but because he behaves like the hindu priest class, with hatred for others who do not fit into his/their corrupted and vicious mental frame. Thus he poisons with his bul5hit the minds of the young and not so youngs also. He just goes on vommiting, blaming others not being this or that, and as only he knows sikhee. Just see his posts, how he abuses most of the posters. He acts like a goon here. He is shameless, and a stain to the name of sikhee. He names mothers and sisters of others disrespectfully. Just see how a coward and antigurmat chap he is; following is his cr@p in his very own words a couple of years back: "so long as the shabad Guru is the teacher of the body it is the real mandir.". Can you tell me, how can such a foolish statement proudly be made, which is totally against Gurmat. Can´t you the see the harm and confussion he can create in the inmature minds, with his filthy words. Since when the Shabad Guru is the teacher of the body? Which shameless baba has infused in him, such antigurmat thinking? When he himself is so full of falsehood and arrogance, what right has he got to judge others? That also with lies and malice? This is pure wickedness. He has first to learn to be human, leave behind his pride, his arrogance, his lies, then only can he become a sikh, till then he will always remain a pure bahman, means a person with antigurmat poison filled in his mind, though outwardly he may resemble a sikh/khalsa.
  15. It coud well be added also, he is a liar, so naturally whatever he says, is sheer bull5hit, and yet he proudly thinks of himself some sort of gyani, which is far frome reality, this makes him the portrait of antigurmat brahmanvadee
  16. Kindness The kindness which one gives, is not the same always one gets in return. Sometimes is more, sometimes is less, worstly, none at all. Nevertheless, one should always give, because as per universal law, one who willingly gives, is more blessed, than, one who receives.
  17. Kodi is fine, but that programme by itself is not complete, you have to download specific repostiories with its video addons. For example, most of Zem and after Shock video addons, if downloaded now, are not working For those who do not want waste time on these issues, it is simpler, the Swift Streamz apk as suggested above. Specially for those who love to watch live keertan/paath, from Sree Darbar Sahib, it was mainly for this purpose, the sugestion made above.
  18. Why past life alone? Do you know how many past lives, joonees, one has been separated from Wahiguru Jee? Wingz23 Jee, one thing is clear, we are separeted from Him, thus all our problems, our misery, and unless we merge in Him, this will go on endlessly. It would be better, that instead of erasing the symptoms, we erradicate from root the cause of those symptoms, and as said, the cause of all other causes, is our separation from Him. There is a way, to know all our past, and it is by arising our surtee through meditation, on the inner spiritual realms, where is located the storehouse of our karam, but then, why waste the time after all that? As stated by Guru Jee: Nanak Naam Jahaaz hae, jin chareeya se utareeya paar. Like a lost person in the mighty bhavsahar of maya, let us step the jahaaz of Naam through His simran, without looking back or the surroundings, for it is all false and confusing, plus we have not all the time with us, let us focus on the Light of Guru Jee, not on the shadows of Maya... only then can we liberate ourselves from the chains of bharam Sat Sree Akal.
  19. Guest Gupt Jee, the pain we feel usually is due to our attachments to maya. The Bani clearly tells us: kis naal kijeeyey dostee, sab jag chalan haar. Also, Ekas bin sabh dandh hae. It is our spiritual ignorance, which pushes us after the impermanent and perishable, thus our pains, our affliction. On the other side, Guru Sahiban, tell us to love and devote the only One, Wahiguru Akal Purukh, the source of all permanent Anand, everlasting union with Satnam, and pure Chit. Be thankful to Him, for pointing you, though through painful experience, what to look for in life, and where to head towards. You see, all relations in this creation, whether you put effort or not, will surely come automatically, as we have karmic settings with them, still then, under all circumstances, keep your mind on Pyara Preetam Wahiguru Akal Purukh. God bless you. Sat Sree Akal.
  20. Dear Guest Guest1212, fllowing are 4 personal answers to your above 4 points: 1) The only feeling that one should have during that of spiritual /bhakti moments, should be like when a lover goes to meet and being in the company of the beloved, with full of joy and enthusiasm, in our case with Guru Jee and Wahiguru Akal Purukh. 2) The fact that one engages in His bhakti, should be more than any other motivations. For He is the only Sach, rest is all koor. He is unseen yet, still He is the only permanent eternal Truth, Evrything else is seen, yet it is all maya, koor. Be thankful to Him, for putting in you, even the thoughts of worshipping Him. Brother you have so much grace, bakshish on you, what else motivation do you need? 3) That time will also come. For example you want to look your face in a pond, where there the water is muddy and has waves, naturally you can not; for that you have to wait, so that the water calms and becomes waveless, and the mud goes to the bottom of the pond, then only, you will be able to see your face, in those waters... In a similar way, our sins are countless, are akhoot, there is no such cleanser in the triloki creation which can erase them, except, for His Day Meher, His kirpa, His bakshish, which will purify us duely, but for that, we have to stay at the doors of His Darbar, as kookars, come whatever it may, be ups or downs, there is no other " thao"... 4) Our duty is to stay engaged in His bhakti, without analyzing. The moment we analyze anything, the mind enters into action by calculations, by sensations, then we loose our force, our concentration, our focus on Him. The purpose of His bhakti, is to becme mindless, thoughtless, for it is our mind, the barrier between Him and us. The moment you pay attention, with fully concentrated bhakti, then brother, there is no force in the whole creation, which can stop you from getting pulled towards Him by His love, and prevent you of having His darshan. Have faith in Him, no matter if it is our last breath, even then, that is more worthy, then any other karam, for you are giving/surrendering yourself to Him, and none other. That is all what bhakti is about: love, faith, preseverence. God bless you. Sat Sree Akal.
  21. Some tips ..... on how to live life gracefully Many people feel unhappy, health-wise and security-wise, after 60 years of age, owing to the diminishing importance given to them and their opinions. But, it need not be so, if only we understand the basic principles of life and follow them scrupulously. Here are ten mantras to age gracefully and make life after retirement pleasant. 1. Never say ‘I am aged' : There are three ages, chronological, biological, and psychological. The first is calculated based on our date of birth; the second is determined by the health conditions; the third is how old we feel we are. While we don't have control over the first, we can take care of our health with good diet, exercise and a cheerful attitude. A positive attitude and optimistic thinking can reverse the third age. 2. Health is wealth: If you really love your kith and kin, taking care of your health should be your priority. Thus, you will not be a burden to them. Have an annual health check-up and take the prescribed medicines regularly. Do take health insurance coverage. 3. Money is important: Money is essential for meeting the basic necessities of life, keeping good health and earning family respect and security. Don't spend beyond your means even for your children. You have lived for them all through and it is time you enjoyed a harmonious life with your spouse. If your children are grateful and they take care of you, you are blessed. But, never take it for granted. 4. Relaxation and recreation: The most relaxing and recreating forces are a healthy religious attitude, good sleep, music and laughter. Have faith in God, learn to sleep well, love good music and see the funnyside of life. 5. Time is precious: It is almost like holding a horses' reins. When they are in your hands, you can control them. Imagine that every day you are born again. Yesterday is a cancelled cheque. Tomorrow is a promissory note. Today is ready cash - use it profitably. Live this moment; live it fully, now, in the present time. 6. Change is the only permanent thing: We should accept change - it is inevitable. The only way to make sense out of change is to join in the dance. Change has brought about many pleasant things. We should be happy that our children are blessed. Try to change your position from darkness(spiritual ignorance) to the enlightment, in the company of true Saints. This changes our sadness into true joy. 7. Enlightened selfishness: All of us are basically selfish. Whatever we do, we expect something in return. We should definitely be grateful to those who stood by us. But, our focus should be on the internal satisfaction and the happiness we derive by doing good for others, without expecting anything in return. Perform a random act of kindness daily. If not anything else, at least pray sincerely, to live in accordance and harmony, with the laws of Nature. 8. Forget and forgive: Don't be bothered too much about others' mistakes. We are not spiritual enough to show our other cheek when we are slapped in one. But for the sake of our own health and happiness, let us forgive and forget them. Otherwise, we will be only increasing our blood pressure. By forgiving, we gain peace for ourselves. 9. Everything has a purpose: Take life as it comes. Accept yourself as you are and also accept others for what they are. Everybody is unique and is right in his own way. 10. Overcome the fear of death: We all know that one day we have to leave this world. Still we are afraid of death. We think that our spouse and children will be unable to withstand our loss. But the truth is no one is going to die for you; they may be depressed for some time. Time heals everything and they will go on.
