  1. Lord, make me an instrument of your peace... (a humble prayer) Where there is hatred, let me sow love; Where there is injury, pardon; Where there is doubt, faith; Where there is despair, hope; Where there is darkness, light; Where there is sadness, joy; O Lord, grant that I may not so much seek to be consoled as to console; To be understood as to understand; To be loved as to love. For it is in giving that we receive; It is in pardoning that we are pardoned; And it is in dying(bhakti kills ego) that we are born to eternal life(mukti). Sat Sree Akal.
  2. “Our prayers are answered not when we are given what we ask, (that is our karam) but when we are challenged to be what we can be." (that is His kirpa). Sat Sree Akal.
  3. 6 Signs of Spiritual Transformations Clarity means being awake to yourself around the clock, in waking, sleeping and dreaming. Instead of being overshadowed by externals, your awareness is always open to itself. Clarity feels totally alert, and carefree. Knowingness means being in touch with the level of the mind where every question is answered. It is related to genius, although knowingness isn't focused on music, mathematics, or other specific subjects. Your area of knowledge is life itself and the movement of consciousness on every level. Knowingness feels wise, confident, unshakable, and yet humble. Reverence for life means being in touch with the life force. You feel the same power flowing through you as through every living thing; even the dust in a beam of light dances to the same rhythm. Reverence for life feels warm, connected and exhilarating. Non-violence means being in harmony with every action. There is no opposition between what you do and what anyone else does. Your desires do not clash with another person's well-being. When you look around you see conflict in the world at large but not in your world. You emanate peace like a force field that subdues conflict in your surroundings. Non-violence feels peaceful, still and completely without resistance. Fearlessness means total security. Fear is a jolt from the past; it reminds us of the moment when we left a place of belonging and found ourselves in a place of vulnerability. Fear is born of separation, implying that the original cause of fear was the loss of unity. Ultimately, that separation is not a fall from grace but a loss of who you really are. To be fearless feels, therefore, like yourself. Wholeness means including everything, leaving nothing out. At present we each experience life sliced up into bits of time, bits of experience, bits of activity. We cling to our limited sense of self to protect the slices from falling apart. But it's impossible to find continuity in this way, hard as the ego tries in its struggle to make life hang together. Wholeness is a state beyond personality. It emerges when "I am" as it applies to you is the same "I am" everywhere. Wholeness feels solid, eternal, without beginning or end.
  4. Brother SeekingSikhi, do not know much, but certainly can tell you, being away from Wahiguru is a hell by itself. Secondly, there is no permanent hell nor heaven as per the thought of eternity in some religions, simply because our souls are of the same nature of Wahiguru, they can not remain permanently away from Him, whether in the hells or heavens. The day, the moment He decides to clear up this His huge play, where shall the souls go? Naturally back and merge in Him. But as we do not know, when will that be, not tomorrow nor 100 years later, so it is better that we by ourselves, we workout the bhakti as per Gurbani and seek His kirpa, in order to merge back in Him, as soon as possible in this very life. No one becomes a doctor after dying, in a similar way we have to start our journey of returning back right now, for after death we are bound by our karmas, thus caught up strongly in the endless wheel of births and deaths. God bless you.
  5. Found these following gems of calmness, which would like to share with the sangat, regarding this thread, as well as to those matters, related to the differences, between different dharmas, nationalites, and races. “Differences in religious beliefs, politics, social status, and position are all secondary. When we look at someone with compassion, we are able to see beyond these secondary differences and connect to the primary essence that binds all humans together as one. which is none other that of the Light of the Universal Truth: Wahiguru Akal Purukh” The biggest communication problem is we do not listen to understand rather we listen to reply. So naturally, flames of anger and hatred shall be the output of that narrow mindedness hiding behind fanatical irrational excuses. “Once we have a firm practice of compassion our state of mind becomes stronger which leads to inner peace, giving rise to self-confidence, which reduces fear. This makes for constructive members of the community. Self-centeredness on the other hand leads to distance, suspicion, mistrust and loneliness, with unhappiness as the result.” Sat Sree Akal.
  6. Following are some amazing words by a beautiful lady, none other than Marilyn Monroe. She is viewed as a dumb blonde, but from her words we can percieve that no matter how a person can be mentally and emotionally low at some times, still the best can come from that very person. I read her words, and they touched me, for there is much wisdom in them, and I thought of forwarding them to you, so that you too, or anyone at any time, could somehow benefit from them if the need arised. Being herself a woman, we can see from her words, how, gracefully and positively, she draws the picture of the role of a woman in the society, when many a times a woman is the biggest enemy of another woman. “This life is what you make it. No matter what, you’re going to mess up sometimes, it’s a universal truth. But the good part is you get to decide how you’re going to mess it up. Girls will be your friends - they’ll act like it anyway. But just remember, some come, some go. The ones that stay with you through everything - they’re your true best friends. Don’t let go of them. “Also remember, sisters make the best friends in the world. As for lovers, well, they’ll come and go too. And baby, I hate to say it, most of them - actually pretty much all of them are going to break your heart, but you can’t give up because if you give up, you’ll never find your soulmate. You’ll never find that half who makes you whole and that goes for everything. Just because you fail once, doesn’t mean you’re gonna fail at everything. “Keep trying, hold on, and always, always, always believe in yourself, because if you don’t, then who will, sweetie? So keep your head high, keep your chin up, and most importantly, keep smiling, because life’s a beautiful thing and there’s so much to smile about.” by Marilyn Monroe
  7. Good Friends are Hard to find, Harder to Leave, And, impossible to Forget. Always take extra care of three things in life - Promise, Friendship and relationship. Because they don't make noise, but when they break they create silence...!! OUR Behaviour Is Greater Than Our Knowledge Bcoz There Are Many Situations Where Our Knowledge May fail But Our Behaviour Can Handle That Very Well !.......

You honour and treat your guests well but when they leave, you gossip about them and talk about their flaws. (A leaking bucket). 5. You give a lot of charity to the poor but you humiliate them and hurt them. (A leaking bucket). 6. You stand up to pray at night, but you cut your family ties. (A leaking bucket). 7. 9. What's the size of God? A boy asked the father: What’s the size of God? Then the father looked up to the sky and seeing an airplane asked the son: What’s the size of that airplane? The boy answered: It’s very small. I can barely see it. So the father took him to the airport and as they approached an airplane he asked: And now, what is the size of this one? The boy answered: Wow daddy, this is huge! Then the father told him: Like this is God, His size depends on how distant you are from Him. The closer you are to Him, the greater He will be in your life!
  10. Some very useful Tips 5 THINGS YOU PROBABLY NEVER KNEW YOUR MOBILE PHONE COULD DO !!! In grave emergencies, your mobile phone can actually be a life saver or an emergency tool for survival. 1. Emergency Services ??? The Emergency No. worldwide for all Mobile Phones is 112. If you find yourself out of the coverage area of your mobile network and there is an emergency, dial 112 and your mobile will search any existing network in your area to establish the emergency number for you, and interestingly this number 112 can be dialed even if the keypad is locked. This works on all phones worldwide and is free. 2. Locked your keys in the car? ???????? If you lock your remote keyless car keys in the car and the spare keys are at home, call someone at home on their mobile phone from your cell phone. Hold your cell phone about a foot from your car door and have the person at your home press the unlock button on the spare key, holding it near the mobile phone on their end. Your car will unlock. Saves someone from having to drive your keys to you. Distance is no object. You could be thousands of miles away. Editor's Note: I didn’t believe this when I heard about it! I rang my daughter in Sydney from Perth when we went on holiday. She had the spare car key. We tried it out and it unlocked our car over a mobile phone! 3. Is your mobile phone battery flat ? All handphone have Hidden Battery Power. ???????? To activate, press the keys *3370# (remember the asterisk). Do this when the phone is almost dead. Your mobile will restart in a special way with this new reserve and the instrument will show a 50% increase in battery life. This reserve will be recharged when you charge your handphone next time. This secret is in the fine print in most phone manuals which we skip without realizing. 4. Disabling a STOLEN mobile. ???? To check your handphone's serial number, key in following digits on your phone: * # 0 6 # Ensure you put an asterisk BEFORE the #06# sequence. A 15 digits code will appear on the screen that is unique to your handset. Write it down and keep it somewhere safe. If your handphone is ever stolen, phone your service provider and give them this code. They will then be able to block your handset so even if the SIM is changed, your handphone will be totally useless. And even if you don't get your phone back, at least it can't use/resold either. If everybody did this, there would be no point in people stealing mobile phones. This secret is also in the fine print of most mobile phone manuals. It was created for the very purpose of trying to prevent phones from being stolen. 5. ATM PIN Number Reversal - Good to Know !!! ???? If you should ever be forced by a robber to withdraw money from an ATM machine, you can notify the police by entering your PIN # in reverse. For example, if your pin number is 1234, then you would put in 4321. The ATM system recognizes that your PIN number is backwards from the ATM card you placed in the machine. The machine will still give you the money you requested but unknown to the robber, the police will be immediately dispatched to the location. All ATM’s carry this emergency sequencer by law. This information was recently broadcast by Crime Stoppers. It is, however, seldom used as people just don't know about it.
  11. Waheguru simply means, the wonderful Guru. And which Guru is the one, who is it so referred? Well it is Akal Purukh Himself, as the very first Guru. For when there was nobody, nothing, it was His Jot which existed. And about this very Guru, Gurbani tells us something about Him: Aad Guray nameh I bow to the Primal Guru, Jugaad Guray nameh I bow to the Guru woven through time Sat Guray nameh I bow to the True Guru, the true identity of the self. Sri Guru devay nameh I bow to the Great Guru whose great glory will always be. Guru: that which brings us from darkness of Maya and agyanta (GU), to His light, His Jot, His wisdom (RU). Sat Sree Akal.
  12. Though you will not like what I am going to tell you, nevrtheless I will voice my opinion: APART FROM WAHIGURU AKAL PURUKH, THERE ARE NO BETTER WELLWISHERS/BENEFACTORS/GUARDIANS, IN THE WHOLE WORLD THAN ONE´S PARENTS. It is your inmaturity which is troubling you and creating confusion in you. Be a good obedient child, love them, hug them. What kind of people are we? How ungrateful we are? For a short time relationship with some outsider, we are betraying those who gave us birth, who have loved us with each breath of theirs from our very first day? Who have not thought of themselves, and sacrificed their lives for us, and made us as their first priority in all senses? Just keep in mind, if you disrespect or abuse your parents, then there will be nobody to help you find shelter from inviting disgrace upon disgrace on yourself. Sat Sree Akal.
  13. Brother Guest Singh Jee, there is no doubt that Sache Patsha listens what one speaks, because He is not someone far in the skies above clouds ... For He is very much right within us, so He sees all that we do or say. We may do something and hide from people, but He for sure sees it. About your question of if He will listen to your ardaas to unite you or bring you closer to the girl you like now, I think you want to say, if He will accept that your desire? Though you are young, but let me be frank with you without hiding anything or trying in diverting your attention towards other activities to dilute your thoughts on this specific question, after that, it is your choice how you act upon. First of all, all our relations be them of any type with anyone, are all product of our past karam, nothing happens accidently in that sense. So if she is written in your destiny, whether you want or not, she will surely come. Wahiguru respects very muchthe law of karma established by He Himself, He does not goes against it like a corrupted bribed politicians, who modify laws to favor some others. Secondly, if it is your intense desire in having her as your partner whether now or later, and she is not meant for you in this life, then brother you have created a desire within you, which Mother Nature will fulfill it for sure, and that means, you are bound to remain in the cycle of births and deaths to see that your intense desire fulfilled. Better, leave yourself to His Bhaana, and do the ardaas of wanting Him above all things, in wanting to love Him, in wanting to not forgetting Him even for a second. You see every other thing apart from His bhakti is written in our destiny much before we are born. So brother, gather as much bhakti as possible in this present life, because it is only this treasure, this"real dhan", this real relatioship of mutual eternal love, which shall free you from the mayavee creation and unite with our beloved Wahiguru Akal Purukh. If there is any one real relationship for which me must care, that is the one with Wahiguru, all other relations are dependendant on karmas. to some we leave before, some betray us , or some leave us after. Nobody belongs to none. Only He, is ours, before, now and always, though we maybe consciouss about it or not, time after time, He as a loving father keeps giving us chances after chances as human beings to amend our ignorant ways and divert our attention and focus on Him for our own benefit, what other proof do we need of His unconditional love for us dumb jeevas. Brother if there is anything you want to desire and love, be it only Wahiguru Akal Purukh, above all and everything. Rest is all your chioce. So make your choice wisely. Sat Sree Akal.
  14. In my humble opinion, one should mould one´s life, one´s mind, in accordance to the unchangeable and evergreen Gyan of Truth, namely Gurbani, with the ingreident of being a good human being. Because all other things may suffer variations/alterations, through time and space, which means sometimes up or down, sometimes left or right, due to the influence of the "mind". While with the pure mindless Gurmat Gyan, we balance our lives with His Kirpa, and assure righteousnes within us and around us. Sat Sree Akal.

    negativity

Nice observations. Remember we are in Kalyug, negativity is at its peak, and the worst thing is, one negative fool out of ignorance is enough to ignite negative sparks, and many others follow them as brainless lambs, who otherwise seem normal people in normal circumstances. Real Chardi Kala within, can never ever be achieved by words nor intentions, which may turn out temporary, but by staying in His bhaana, through devotion to Wahiguru alone, the endless fountain supplier of true everlasting bliss and goodness or call it positivity. Sat Sree Akal
  16. Having Wahiguru as a friend. When you call upon Him through bhakti He walks beside you as a Sajjan to comfort you walks above you to watch over you walks behind you as a Rakhanhaar to keep you safe and with His Jot walks before you to show you the way towards your True Home Sach Khand Sat Sree Akal.
  17. God uses broken things beautifully; Broken clouds pour rain, Broken soil sets as fields, Broken crop yield seeds, Broken seeds give life to new plant. So when you feel you are broken, be rest assured that God is planning to utilize you for something great. ????? Faith is like a small lamp in the forest it does not show everything at once bvut gives enough light for the next step to be safe
  18. Following are some Sat Bachans from the Bani of Dhan Dhan Satguru Sree Guru Nanak Dev Maharaj , to settle for once and all, the issue of that the trinty gods are not at all neither gurus as per the title of this thread, nor are any sargun forms of Wahiguru Akal Purukh. जा तिसु भाणा ता जगतु उपाइआ ॥ jaa this bhaanaa thaa jagath oupaaeiaa | When He so willed, He created the world. बाझु कला आडाणु रहाइआ ॥ baajh kalaa aaddaan rehaaeiaa | Without any supporting power, He sustained the universe. ब्रहमा बिसनु महेसु उपाए माइआ मोहु वधाइदा ॥१४॥ brehamaa bisan mehaes oupaaeae maaeiaa mohu vadhaaeidhaa |14| He created Brahma, Vishnu and Shiva; He fostered enticement and attachment to Maya. ||14|| In this verse above Guru Jee is clearly saying, that, He the Supreme Lord when He so willed, He created Brahma, Vishnu and Shiva. And not that He manifested Himself through these sargun forms. This also menas, He existed before all these gods, and exists separately from them, just as apart from all of us also, unless we do His bhakti, then we merge in Him, and become one with Him. This His bhakti, is the very unique feature of Wahiguru Akal Purukh, that whosoever performs it, He makes that jeeva one with Him. While with the gods, devtays, godesses, one reaches their dimension to reap the fruits of one´s devotion to them, but then, one returns back into the wheel of 84 sooner or later, just as these gods are the so called children of mother Maya and father Kal Purukh, the caretakers of the mayavee creation. As stated in a previous example, Ravan was the biggest devotee of Shiva, but even then, he could not rid himself from the panj chor(he was kaamee, krodhi, lobhee, mohee and ahankaree), thus he died as per his hard earned merits of his wickedness/evilness. Had he done even 1%, the bhakti of Wahiguru with the intensity he did of Shiva, it would have been more than suffice for him, to merge in Wahiguru. Why so ? Because one does not merge in Him by one´s efforts, but by His kirpa alone. No god, no devtay has the power to unite any jeeva with them and make them one with them, because they are not the ultimate truth, but rather regarding Wahiguru, the Bani tells us: ਜੀਉ ਪਿੰਡੁ ਸਭੁ ਤੇਰੀ ਰਾਸਿ Jeeo pind sabh teree raas, This body and soul are all your belonging, all the jeev atmas belong to Him. Among all the divine entities, He is the Highest : ਊਚੇ ਤੇ ਊਚਾ ਭਗਵੰਤ ॥ Oochay Tey Oochaa Bhagavant || the highest of the high, most generous God, then also nobody knows about His infinity ਕੋਇ ਨ ਜਾਨੈ ਤੁਮਰਾ ਅੰਤੁ ॥ Koe Na Jaanay Tumraa Unt || No-one knows your infinite vastness. He alone knows Himself and his grandeur ਤੁਮਰੀ ਗਤਿ ਮਿਤਿ ਤੁਮ ਹੀ ਜਾਨੀ ॥ Tumaree Gath Mith Tum Hee Jaanee || You alone know your existence and vastness . And it is to this very highest Being, should one offer one´s devotion ਨਾਨਕ ਦਾਸ ਸਦਾ ਕੁਰਬਾਨੀ ॥੮॥੪॥ Nanak Daas Sadhaa Kurbaanee ||8||4|| Nanak, Your slave, is forever surrendering to you. ||8||4|| Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji, Guru Arjan, Sukhmani, Raag Gauri, Ang 268 Sat Sree Akal.
  19. ??? Anger comes alone, But it blocks our mind and spoils the relations. Patience too comes alone, But it releases the Tension and creates Good Relations. ??? GOD ........ Has a purpose for your PAIN, A reason for your STRUGGLES, And a gift for your FAITHFULNESS, Don't ever give up... ??????
  20. The Oneness without multiplicity of the Supreme Eternal Truth in the Bani tells us: Ik Oankar Satnam: The One Creator Nam, is the only eternal Truth, hence no gods, no devis, no devtays ...... Ekas bin sabh dandh hae : Without this one Supreme truth, everything else is "koor" Jug chare Nam ootam Shabad veechar : Throughout all the 4 yugas, keep in mind, Nam is the highest. Sach Khand vaseh Nirankar : in the realm of Truth, only the formless Lord resides. (The remaining gods, godesses, devtay, can be found in the mayavee creation at locations such as : Shivpuri, Baikunth, Swarg Lok, etc Nam or Shabad, is the difference between what Guru Sahiban, the Bhagat Jan proclaim as the only one Truth, to which they tell us to worship and give our devotion, within. While these other spiritual entities, known as gods....under maya´s influence are mistaken as truths, which is far from real; as they lead the jeevas to idol worship, rituals and external practices, and thus make them wander in the wheel of 84. They have an important role to keep the creation in motion, but it is only by love and devotion to Wahiguru alone, that also by His apaar kirpa, is the way to merge in Akal Purukh, the Highest, and only One, without any second. Just a simple example, Ravan, was the biggest devotee of Shiva, yet he could not erradicate the evilness along with the 5 chor within him. We may ask why? Because he worshiped not the Nam as stated in Sukhmani Sahib : Prabh(Nam, Shabad, Wahiguru) Ka Simran, man kee mael jaae. Remember, Ekas(Satnam, Wahiguru Akal Purukh) Bin sabh dandh hae, sabh mithiya moh, maya. Sat Sree Akal.
  21. Social hypocrisy A young lady went to a street vendor and asked him: "How much are you selling the eggs for?" The old seller replied to her, "Rs.5/- for one egg, Madam." She said to him, "I will take 6 eggs for Rs.25/- or I will leave." The old seller replied, "Come take them at the price you want. May God bless us, and maybe this is a good beginning because I have not yet sold to anyone." She took it and walked away feeling she has won. She got into her fancy car and went to pick her friend, and invited her to a restaurant. She and her friend sat down and ordered what they like. They ate a little and left a lot of what they ordered. Then she went to pay the bill. The bill was Rs.1,200/-. She gave him Rs. 1,300/- and said to the owner of the restaurant: "Keep the change." This story may seem normal to the owner of the restaurant. But it is very painful for the eggs' seller. The bottom line is: Why do we always show that we have the power, when we buy from the needy and the poor? And we are generous with those who do not need our generosity ? Every time a poor child comes to me to sell something simple, I remember a tweet from the son of a rich man who said, "After every prayer my father used to buy simple goods for very expensive prices, even though he did not need them. Sometimes he used to pay more for them. I used to get concerned by this act and I told him about it. Then my father told me: 'It is a charity wrapped with dignity, my son.'" Compare these two stories of social hypocrisy. The first one is disappointing and the second one is inspiring. May God enlighten our vision
  22. There is so much pain, so much hatred, so much anger... it is horrible, just sickening, zombies having thirst for blood. Found these soothing words, may those who so wish, take advantage from their contents and calm themselves, there is no need to set fire, from no one, from no side. If you have wisdom, you don’t have to go through pain to learn. We go through pain because we lack wisdom. But remember that you will come out of pain or hurt at some time or the other. It is important for one to have a larger context to life. When you have a larger context, then trivial things don’t really bother you. They are like waves on the surface of the ocean – they rise and fall. So, if you are in pain, or have been hurt, here are the four ways of looking at the situation that will ease your pain! 1) The one who has hurt you is pained Many a times, people cause hurt to others because they have scars, and they are unhappy and miserable. They can only share what they have. They are hurt and they are sharing the hurt with you. You might think that these people are hurting you purposely, but in fact it is because they do not have happiness inside them, they don’t have joy or peace. They have pain inside them, which is why they are causing you hurt. So, what should the wounded party do? Compassion. You have to be compassionate to those who hurt you, because they are wounded themselves. 2)The one causing you hurt is just ignorant There are people who hurt others out of sheer ignorance. They are not sensitive and they are not aware that their actions are hurting others. They don’t know themselves and they don’t know what they are doing. They are ignorant and arrogant. You can only feel sorry for them and hope that someday they will become sensitive and intelligent. 3)You’re hurting, because It is just karma You had to get this hurt, and if not this person, then someone else would have given it to you. You must have caused some hurt to someone in the past, so nature is bringing it back to you now. When you know that it's just the karma being repaid, you feel very settled. 4)It is being done to make you strong Nature is bringing this pain to you so that you become strong, so that you discover the strength and power within you. Usually, when a pole is being installed, after the installation, they shake the pole to check whether it is rooted well enough or not. Hurt is just that, to see whether you are well established in yourself, whether you are in wisdom or not. Every hurt is trying to shake you, to see whether you are strong or not. It tests your strength. It is to make you stronger. If you think a wise person or someone intelligent is hurting you, then you should be thankful because there is some purpose in that. They want you to be strong. If your mother is scolding you, she is not doing it with bad intentions. If your father is scolding you, you can’t say, “Oh my father hurt me! My mother hurt me!” Your parents are not hurting you – they are coming from a space of care and concern for you. We must recognize that they are doing things out of their limited understanding and love for you. *Having said all this above, in my personal opinion, terrorists, criminals, and racists, they should get punished for their evil acts against humanity. Of course, there is no doubt, there is no escape in the hereafter world, they will get their dues, but they should get punished here also, and the punishment should be exemplary, in the sense that if someone wants to do some wicked actions, will have to think twice before doing so, though I am quite aware, that when they do all those evil acts, it is evident, they neither have brains nor heart. Sat Sree Akal.
