  1. you sound like your from pm, dont lie, am i right, am i right :D i know i am why not let them, if its homosexaul, bisexaul, whatever kind of sexual their all going to be attracted to something just like hetrosexuals. It doesnt change shardha of a person just cause they choose one of their life partners to be something else, in the end we're all going to die alone why would it matter if you choose a guy or girl as ur life partner. I dont know how a homosexual would see this kind of discussion because im a hetro and i doubt im doing their side of the argument any justice. But in the end a person is a human being why would we blame them and be like "thats wrong" isn't that just plain anti-sikhi. If theres evidence of it being linked through biology and theirs evidence they probably have no choice, arn't we fighting a losing battle, its almost like we're opressing a group of people... we as sikhs get <Edited> off at the thought of having to register under the Hindu marriage act, yet how would a gay sikh feel knowing that their own people look down on them and its being protrayed that even god doesnt like them... how will we ever get out of kalyug when we're giving people reasons to be athiests or go away from sikhi.
  2. now back on the topic! :D does that mean according to akal thakts interpretation of gurmat that we're going to label the sexual orientation of homosexuals as wrong even though in light of recent scientific studies their proof that its linked to biological factors? this is probably a bad analogy but thats like telling a special needs kid that its his fault hes has problems is it not? im not saying homosexuals are physically or mentally sick but isnt that what we're doing? few links to back up my point: http://www.mentalhelp.net/poc/view_doc.php?type=doc&id=28531 http://philosophy.illinoisstate.edu/chorvath/PHI202Su10/LeVayHamer%20copy.pdf
  3. 14337 90 ave, Surrey, B.C .... drop by my house anytime big boy.. im expecting you to come dont chicken out now, actions speak louder than words. treat other like dirt? im the one advocating for giving equal status to gay people while you call their whole lifestyle kaam, against sikhi, in simple terms just plain "wrong" and your complaining about being treated like dirt? HAHAHA man up.
  4. Stop your aggorant ways and have a civil discussion. .... yeah but personal messaging people asking to come "say it to my face" is the pinnacle of civility... LOL! FAIL. So you don't know where Gurbani speaks on marriage and kaam? .... i dont see how marriage and kaam have anything to do with a person being homosexual I know you have not reached brahmgian, so then how can you say Gurbani doesn't speak on homosexuality? ... becuase i've gained an amazing ability... wait for it ... wait for it... the ability to read. Anyways, people keep bringing up GOD being against homosexuality and it going againt Bani, if its so provide passages from Guru Granth Sahib that justifies that... and if you can't then everyone should stop justifiying their opinions against homosexuality by bring up Bani and God, because in the end none of us are God.
  5. 1. "Then talk to Sri Waheguru ji and tell him, hes arrogant. " well... that sounds all fine and dandy but i highly doubt you know anymore about God's stance on homosexuality than the rest of us, so that statement just sounds idoiotic... unless you reached brahmgian which i highly doubt because you wouldnt be wasting time on SS... moving on ... "Marriage in Sikhi is for man and woman." did god tell you that too? "A person's common sense is not counted to rationalize homosexuality into Gurmat." WOW!! i never knew Sikhi propagated for getting rid of your critical/rational thinking!! oh i was so sadly misguided!! =( 2. i dont have to show anything because there is nothing in bani about homosexuality thats the whole point... where does it say its wrong?? all bani says is everyones equal am i not correct? Mod note: Humble benti from mods, please keep it cool, no need to get personal with other members
  6. I agree with Kaljugi let us just look at a miniture example, im not having a go at this website at all ... BUT ... most of us see this as a progressive site run by "youth" people like ourselves and yet how many threads get knocked off for bringing up a controversial issues, people get put on the monitor list for voicing opinions... if we can't follow freedom of speech/opinion/style of living etc. on a Sikhi based website how will we ever be able to implement them in the larger global context.
  7. why is homosexuality a bad thing? people dont choose to be homosexual, who wants to be picked on and looked down upon by their peers? i think this is just arrogant no... theres been homosexuality forever, the earliest record of it in China is 600 BCE, there are even records of homosexual artifacts and artwork dating back from 10th millennium BC at the end of the Paleolithic age. im not in anyway a homosexual but still, think about what a gay person might say and think about sikhi if they came and read this thread
  8. i dont really want to sound like im attacking anyone personally or anyones belief but... really who cares? gurbani on mobile... sounds convenient laptop in ramala... HAHA i couldnt help myself but laugh, thats just sad.
  9. it would have been more funny if it was crown royal rather than black label.
