  1. What hidden agenda? Watch the video again, I have clearly stated that this was filmed in 2006. Sorry if I got the address wrong, however I have not got the issue wrong. Dont start to play the sympathy card that people have a hidden agenda towards your gurdwara. You have confirmed yourself that the community centre/party hall, which is part of the Gurdwara estate, allows meat and alcohol. This is in direct violation to Akal Takht Maryada and Sandesh 2006. Sandesh issued by Sri Akal Takht Sahib - April 2006. As the Sikhs’ supreme authority, Sri Akal Takht Sahib has voiced its concerns by issuing a new 'Sandesh' strongly reinforcing Sikh Rehit Maryada (Sikh Code of Conduct) and Gurmat (Sikh principles) on the following issues: • Any form of intoxicants (alcohol, drugs etc) and preparation or consumption of foods such as meat, fish and eggs are not permitted on Gurdwara property. • Guru-ka-Langar should be prepared and observed in accordance to Gurus' maryada (tradition). • No person under the influence of intoxicants is allowed inside Gurdwara property. • Inside the property of the Guru Sahibs, only the recital of Gurbani, katha, kirtan and reccounting of the Gurus' history are permitted. • Buildings bought or constructed using the Daswand (one tenth of earnings) of the Sikh Sangat or Gurdwara donations are solely to be used to be used for Gurmat purposes and the betterment of society. • Anand Karajs (Sikh wedding ceremonies) etc must be performed in Gurdwaras in accordance to Gurmat and the Panthic accepted Sikh Rehit Maryada. • There is no permission granted for dancing and singing or any acts which go against the principles of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji.
  2. This programme was broadcast on Sikh Channel on 20th October 2010. UK Sangat peacefully protested at Grays Gurdwara who allow meat, alcohol and tabacco onto its premises. This is against Sikh Rehit Maryada beadbi to Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji.
  3. OUTSIDE THE GRAYS GURDWARA PARTY HALL: Sangat express their shock towards the actions of Grays Gurdwara Committee and their blatant disregard to Sikh Maryada INSIDE THE GRAYS GURDWARA PARTY HALL: Sangat doing kirtan
  4. No-one wants to touch this issue, very sad. The best you can do is to get as many people as possible to ring up the Gurdwara and tell them to stop......
  5. OUTSIDE THE GRAYS GURDWARA PARTY HALL: Sangat express their shock towards the actions of Grays Gurdwara Committee and their blatant disregard to Sikh Maryada
  6. OUTSIDE THE GRAYS GURDWARA PARTY HALL: Sangat express their shock towards the actions of Grays Gurdwara Committee and their blatant disregard to Sikh Maryada
  7. IN GRAYS GURDWARA "PARTY" HALL: Both Bhaisahibs explain the importance of Gurdwaras for the Sikh Community and how Grays Gurdwara committee is abusing its powers by refusing to adhere to Sri Akal Takhat Sahib Sandesh, that clearly states that meat and alcohol is not allowed on Gurdwara owned property:
  8. Benti - Please can some techie singh/singhni record this programme and upload onto Youtube
  9. IN THE DARBAR SAHIB: The Grays Gurdwara committee were afraid to meet with the sangat in the gurdwara darbar sahib, so five singhs were chosen to go down and speak to them. The sangat did ardas and hukamnama was read by Bhai Sahib to start this battle against Gurdwara party halls: IN THE PARTY HALL: Bhai Sahib commending the UK Sangat who came from across the country to stop Grays Gurdwara fom allowing meat and alcohol to be served on Gurdwara Property: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rICb-JGfSu8
  10. UK Sangat peacefully requesting the Grays Committee to speak to them in the community hall (party hall) Singhs and Singhnis were doing kirtan since morning in the community hall forcing the family to re-arrange its party to another venue UK Sangat voicing their concerns to Sikh Tv and Sikh Channel, who filmed the day's events, that this committee and other gurdwara committees have affliated community halls with the sole purpose of allowing partys where meat and alcohol can be served. This is against Sikh Rehit Maryada and must stop
  11. Wow! The protest was a great success! Singhs and singhnis from accross the uk shook grays committee. The party was rearranged by the family to another venue. Stupid committee lot were afraid to come out of their office and speak to the sangat and media. Grays sangat better get their act together otherwise the uk sangat will have to step things up!
  12. Just been confimed with Sikh Channel, Manpreet Singh and his crew will be there tomorrow! Also Sangat Tv have apologised as they dont have the resources to come down however will be happy to broadcast any recording taken on the day! Sikh Tv has previous announced their coverage on the day!! Our Sikh Media is stepping up to the mark. May guruji bless his panth with a strong media network!!
  13. LOL! its the moderators who have caught you out, not Satkaar! Your logging via the same computer!!!
  14. Its great to know Sikh Jathebandis continue to ignore Sikh issues! If they are not gonna stand for Sikh Issues then what are they there for? Sikh Federation office is in Southampton and thats where my favourite Gurdwara does greasy fry ups for breakfast! Shame on you jathebandis. I shiver to think what will happen in a Sikh Federation run Khalistan. It will be worst than Badal Raj!! Guys say big things on TV but thats all it its - BIG WORDS!
  15. It feels as if we have to beg these jathebandis to help stop beadbi. Whats the point of their existence if they wont take the lead. This is religion not politics. We know that these jathebandis like Sikh Federation and Sikh Channel are active on Sikhsangat but as usual they will keep quiet when they are needed the most.
