Listening would be fine, however under no circumstance should any gutka, senchi , granth containing any form of bani be held or touched before taking a shower.
Vastu is connected with Hinduism which deals with certain directions. like face this way and this will happen, if you face this direction its bad luck or this will happen. I couldn't find any scientific relations in this and personally feel its more of a hocus pocus thing.
Raags have certain moods and feelings which are bought out when sung, played etc these raags have been allocated a specif time of the day which brings out the best of the moods (ras) during that time frame. However there is nothing wrong with listening lets say darbarie during the day when its a late night raag or asa in the evening when its a morning raag etc. Its just that you get a better feeling or essence of that raag during that time. This may be a bad example but you would feel different if you do your amrit vela banis at 8pm rather than 4- etc not that there is nothing wrong with reading amrit banis during 8pm you just get a different feeling within when you do it at that specif time.
I guess this is a perfect example of "use and abuse" pavitar gurbani. What a shame. This kirtan also seems to be following into the quali style hmm ...
You could take it as this, if i am not mistaken
God = Devi / Devta = Wrong
Devi / Devta = God = Wrong
God's Shakti = Devi / Devta = Right
Devi / Devta = God's Shakti = Right

Had a friend who went through surgery and he wore his dastar and kara dastar during surgery. obviously the kara has to be a reasonable size one not those big ones, they may put tape around it. You could wear a small keski if it makes you feel more comfortable.
