  1. Don't worry Jigayasu penji, relax, you have said nothing wrong. And listen to some relaxing shabads. Everything will be ok, leave your worries to God and you just follow Gurbani. The rest of your questions Harsharan ji may answer, as it's too much for me to reply to Sorryji, try to stay in hukam. http://youtu.be/zSASouF4jyg http://youtu.be/HBOXmjJZWiI PS: it would be a good idea if you make an account and post the questions in separate topics, as it's confusing this way.
  2. Do a search in YouTube there's quite a few videos on it there.
  3. Then why are you calling Harmandir Sahib a temple, why don't you call it Gurdwara, ਗੁਰਦੁਆਰਾ (gateway to the Guru)?
  4. Is this topic ever going to finish? ?
  5. Okji thank you for the correction, you should also write it so one may understand what you are trying to say.
  6. Equal towards them? Are u saying equal to Maharaj ji? Not wise words. Magical, one maybe trying to say self realisation (atam chine)? ਆਤਮੁ ਚੀਨ੍ਹ੍ਹਿ ਭਏ ਨਿਰੰਕਾਰੀ ॥੭॥ आतमु चीन्हि भए निरंकारी ॥७॥ Āṯam cẖīnėh bẖa▫e nirankārī. ||7|| Understanding itself, this soul becomes attuned to the Formless Lord. ||7|| SGGS Ang 415 What do you mean they are in a way holier than us Preet ji? In a way?
  7. Oops YouTube to MP3 converter app*. Thanku hsingh8963 ji. There were too many wasn't sure which one to post.
  8. It's not the wealth that changes a person, it's the ahankar that one starts to possess that changes a personality. The wealth is also a daat according to one's karm, but it's about how one can maintain it so they do not forget God and humanity. When the ego of the wealth takes over, the soul becomes empty or reduced of the qualities one once had. But to be able to balance, is also with Gods grace. For example there are two families i know who are very wealthy, one who don't have ahankar and treat others as themselves, go to India and clean the "naaliah", gutters in their pind, and it reflects upon their children too. But the other doesn't care of nobody but themselves due to the wealth. Also another that drives an old car, but can afford a Ferrari. Why? Because wealth made his soul empty. One would never think he had the wealth, but the qualities of s humble person are still there. Why are they different as both have wealth ? Akal and cherishing Gods name keeps the first family stable as they haven't forgotten what they were before they came wealthy, whereas the other family have as wealth came, the ahankar took over, and they forgot their past.
  9. Hanji everything is with Gods grace, Daata Ina dukh vi na dehi main rul java Ina sukh vi na dehi Daata ke tainu bhul Java. Rest is up to God.
  10. It's okji I'm happy being where Waheguru keeps me. Noji I don't want highest, I'd rather leave that to God to decide, I'm happy where God puts me, as when one starts thinking highest, ahankar also follows too. I feel I can learn from brahmgiani qualities, I can try to apply what I will learn to my life, inspire from their guhn, to make myself a better person, but I can't say "I'm going to be a brahmgiani". Because "I" already comes in first ahankar has beat me to it then, if you understand what I mean by that, I cannot do anything without the grace of God. See even in my above sentences "I" has crept in. So if it's re-arranged to May God grace me to learn from their qualities, may God grace me to become a better person, etc. "I" prefer to use it when I'm expressing an opnion I have, not when it comes to Gods decisions. I don't know what is to happen with me. "once we are brahmgiani once we receive the rehmat". Since when did we become God to decide this? I understand what you are trying to say but if you re-read that sentence you will get your answer as to my reply.
  11. I'm sorry, but once we are brahmgiani? I'm sorry but that is something I could never say to myself, I wouldn't even think of myself or comparing myself to a brahmgiani. I would prefer to say, please God bless me that my forehead touch, actually not even touch, a place where their lotus feet went by, Waheguru ji apne charna ch jaga mere Mathe nu deo, even that would be if they grace it, not by my any doing. Brahmgiani status is a very high position ji.
  12. Agree with MisterrSingh ji a person cannot literally turn into God, but a brahmgiani can have divine qualities. Gurbani already tells us God is everywhere, Jale hari, Thale hari. By just realising this one does not automatically become brahmgiani. Anybody could say I have realised God is everywhere, but that doesn't mean they have become a brahmgiani does it?

  14. Agree with jacfsing2 ji Sants , mahapursh do/did Gurbani katha, eg: Sant Maskeen Singh ji, Bhai Guriqbal Singh ji, etc. They explain the importance of it below.
  15. Because each soul has its own spiritual journey and one cannot tell anybody a set way to do simran apart from the basics of with love and Sharda. If they start doing courses on bhagti, another may not agree with their ways then there would be arguments and misunderstandings and conflicts, and there's enough of that going on in Gurdwara. But they do guide the way to do connect to God. And in a way they do say how to do it through sakhis and Gurbani. It's our souls that finds its own way to achieve that gyan of bhagti through only Gods grace. It's not as simple as saying do this, this and this. One would only be able to talk about experiences but even that I feel are personal to ones self as not all will go through the same experience. Everybody has not heard the same sakhis, new generation come as time goes by so it's important for them to hear too and the knowledge is in these sakhis of those from past that have experienced God. Stories of Sants, and Gurmukhs who have realised God and the truth. The knowledge is in the Kirtan, in Gurbani, and sangat, Guruji has already set it out for us, if one wants to go deeper then then one needs to be in sangat with a mahapursh, which blessed souls do get the chance to do. There is literature but the gyan will not apply to every single soul as all are at different spiritual stages, and different obstacles. so it would be unwise to teach one that if you do it this way this will happen. It would be like a doctor saying if you take this medicine this will definitely happen to you and what if it doesn't? As a patient has different side effects or not any at all. I think I haven't been able to express what I'm trying to say aswell, but hope it's understandable. There are gurdwaras that do Naam Abhiyaas, so it's best to get the lahaa from that. I forgot to add the most important, Hukam. Without Hukam nothing is achievable, grace of Waheguru.
  16. " It'd be redundant to mention caste because it is obvious to what Sodhi people are from." Actually no it's not obvious, I know it as a surname. And that's because unlike others caste means nothing to me, but seems to you it means more than what our Gurus actually came into this world to do, to make people realise caste is not relevant. And saundi ni kade, adhi raat nu million pages liki Jane? All I can say is wahhhhh, shabash well done to Kira ji, JSinghz ji Singhni Miri Piri sis Singh598 ji starstriker ji and others I may have missed for tolerating so much. It's good Kira ji you are replying back with such nimrata too, very impressed I'm learning too from your replies, coz people will be reading and thinking what on earth she on about thinking caste is relevant, when our Gurus made it clear exactly where it stands. Well done keep it up.

  18. Don't sound it. Why can't you prove what Kira ji is asking? If you can't prove it, why are you challenging Gurbani? Don't you bother reading anything anybody else writes? Getting on my nerves now, Kira ji carry on, going to rest. ina magaj kon maareh, than de a Tusi, I don't have that much energy lol ? ?? Waheguru ਗੁਰਮੁਖਿ ਜਾਤਿ ਪਤਿ ਸਭੁ ਆਪੇ ॥ गुरमुखि जाति पति सभु आपे ॥ Gurmukẖ jāṯ paṯ sabẖ āpe. To the Gurmukh, the Lord Himself is social class, status and all honor. SGGS Ang 117
