  2. Vaheguru Ji Ka Khalsa, Vaheguru Ji Ki Fateh. Just to let everyone know.. The Sikh Youth Project have worked with our team on many projects...including helping our mothers at the Widow Colony and also organising various conferences, in coalition with Project 25 and VFF, in the Panjab and the States. Like Bhen Ji said, at the moment their are no tours planned in the UK, however we encourage everyone to attend these 5 seminars to increase their awareness on Spiritual and Panthic issues. Project 25 along with the Sikh Awareness Society is planning to tour Panjab (if we all get Visa's) with similar talks to the ones the Sikh Youth Project will be conducting in July 2011. Tommorow our sevadars will be leaving Gravesend at 2pm, Leeds at 3pm, Manchester at 3pm and Nottingham at 4pm. Please attend all 5 programmes, it will definitely be worth it.

  6. Vaheguru Ji Ka Khalsa, Vaheguru Ji Ki Fateh. The Sikh Youth Project have planned a week for remembrance for all those INNOCENT Sikhs that were massacred in the streets of Delhi in November 1984. The 5 day programme will take place from 6-8pm everyday. 31st October to 4th November 2010 VENUE: Guru Nanak Prakash Gurdwara 71-81 Harnall Lane West Coventry CV1 4FB Commemorating Shaheed Satwant Singh Ji and Bhai Beant Singh Ji There will be guest speakers on all 5 days giving you graphic accounts in chronological order of events. There will also be videos shown and the SYP have created a Picture Display, which will show the true horror of what really happened in 1984. The attendess will also be informed of the current situation of the families of those that were killed in Delhi. Two things you must NOTE: 1) Please do not refer to this event as the Anti-Sikh Delhi Riots, but as the DELHI POGRAMS – Why? Because for a riot you need two groups fighting against each other, this was a planned organised state sponsored massacre of innocent Sikhs. 2) To this date, the people that organised the massacre and the criminals that took part in the killing of Sikhs, raping of Sikh women and the looting of Sikh property are still walking around freely with no action taken against them. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ We must all come together and put our differences and disputes with each other to a side and pay respects to the thousands of our Fathers, Mothers, Brothers and Sisters that lost their lives in 1984!! Neverforget 84!! We must all try to attend this week. widowcolony.com nishkam.org 1984carnage.com neverforget84.com carnage84.com shaheedkhalsa.com saintsoldiers.net

  8. Since June this year, many people have again gone back to their usual routines, and all the hype about 25 Years since the Sikh Holocaust has seemed to die down? This year is not the just 25 years since the indian government attacked the hearts of the Sikhs, but the time when all Sikhs should stand up and say "ENOUGH IS ENOUGH". We are, with Maharaj's Kirpa, still continuing the seva we started 6 months ago, and hope to continue our work. We feel that we should give others the opportunity to help do something, as we have seen many people frustrated with no route to achieve any cumulative results. Now Project 25 are in urgent need of someone to do some seva for the Panth. As there are so many young intelligent Sikhs in our community, we have decided to advertise this post on Sikh Sangat. This is an exciting opportunity to produce something concrete, so that our community can move forward. We are looking for someone who has a legal backgound or experience in collating information for research purposes. The ideal candiate will be fluent in Panjabi and English. May have completed a law degree or have some knowledge on Human Rights from a legal perspective. The assignments will include collecting information from the neccessary people about their views and opinions on Human Rights abuses. Surveys will then be prepared and finally reports will be written up based on the findings. This project is due to start asap, so please respond today. If you think you are not the ideal person, that is fine, HOWEVER, there will be someone, maybe a friend, relative etc who can help. So please help us in finding someone who can do this much needed seva. Please email info@project25.org.uk
  9. The DVD will be available on Saturday at the 1984 - Final Ardas For 1 Million Chaupai Sahibs, 13th June @ Sedgley Street, Wolverhampton.
  10. The 25 Years On... DVD is finally available. We have been flooded with emails and messages to have this sent out, both in the UK and abroad. The DVD will be available at The Remembrance Rally on Sunday 7th June 2009. It has some new footage that we are not going to upload on youtube yet, however, there has been a remake of an interview with a Widow that is now available on youtube on: Please forgive us for not getting it out earlier, however our sponsors, who were all various Gurdware Comittees, pulled out on us last minute, therefore we had to raise all the funds from donations.
  11. The reason this video clip was chosen was it was different to all the others we received. It told a story that was very real to the events of 1984 and the aftermath. Bally has emailed us and told she will donate the winnign prize of £100 to Gur Asra Trust. Please promote this video, as we think this untold story of what happened to our mothers and sisters should be told to the masses.
  12. After a long struggle, a winner has been decided for the Project 25 competiton. The winning video is by Bally Kaur, Oxford, UK. It can be viewed on youtube: All comments welcome.

  14. Project25 is a worldwide organisation that was set up soley for the purposes of promoting what happened to the Sikh community from 1984 onwards. We have focussed mainly on Human Rights Violations and tried to stay away from any political connotations relating to the 1984 Sikh Holocaust. As many of you may already know, there are several projects already underway, and they have been a massive success in the UK, Canada, USA, india and also Panjab. We are currently in the process of making a DVD that will be sent worldwide to celebrity figures from non-Sikh backgrounds, to give them a better understanding of our Tragedy. The DVD will include various clips and footage about what is happening to Sikhs from 1984 onwards. THE COMPETITION We want any individual or group to create a clip, approximately 5 minutes long, that deomstrates what happened in 1984 and the effects it had on the Sikh community. It should include footage of an emotional effect, including suitable music, that can we watched by Non-Sikhs to make them feel that they should do something to achieve Justice. The clip should not include any footage of any weapons, guns or Militancy, i.e revenge attacks by Sikhs or even Sikh Turbaned indian army officers, this is to avoid confusion as it is only a 5 min clip. It will be included on the final DVD, and the winner will receive a prize of £100. Please send the clips to our email address info@project25.org.uk and the 5 finalist will then be decided. The final vote by the Project25 panel will take place on Saturday night, and the Winner will be announced on Sunday Morning. Competition Deadline - 5pm (GMT-UK) Friday 22nd May 2009
