  1. ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਜੀ ਕਾ ਖ਼ਾਲਸਾ ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂ ਜੀ ਕੀ ਫਤੇ A primary school in Central London (near Waterloo Bridge) - on Tuesday 15th at 11am are in need of a speaker for 20min on Sikhi as they are focusing on Sikhi this term. I'm trying to find somone if they can help out. I know its very late notice. Ive done the power point slides and its just a brief session. Do you know anyone who might be interested or if you would like to do it? I would be greatful if you could let me know? Please contact me (Manpreet Singh 07716784408) Thanks
  2. On the High Commission website India House observe 22nd Oct as a Holiday for Dusserh - will it be closed tomorrow?
  3. Maharaj gave us The Khalsa everything they had - I dont think we should try to take this aswell.
  4. Listenting to Katha also helps and as a bonus to get Sikhi knowlegde
  5. What ever step you decide in your Sikhi paath- do it slowly(Sehej) but enjoy it. In East London there is a weekly simran jaap every Fridays (mostly youth) at Seven Kings Gurdwara Sahib - the atmosphere is amazing! If you want help in learning to tie a Dastar let me know. Guru Kirpa
  6. To answer this we need to first ask Why Have The Sikhs In INDIA Failed To Follow The Basics Of Sikhi. The averager resident in punjab can speak and read the language so there's nothing stopping them in connecting with Gurbani, they have alot of Itihasic land from which they can gain inspiration.
  7. The question is in real life would is be fobidden to stand on that area i.e. cleaning/maintaince. - I done think it would.
  8. I thought it was to teach us to stayed emersed in Naam 24/7 just like a fish eats, sleep, lives in water. so much so what after this life we will still keep that connection afterwards. A sish does this so well that even if someone killed it and ate it the person would thirst for water more than other foods. Unlimatly the fish would still be one with water even after all that tourture.
  9. Who cares what jathebandi they are WITH or NOT WITH. They are doing Parchaar and Amrit Sanchaar's. More than what prople like me can do. Who needs the Indian Govenment, Shiv Sena or RSS to split up Sikhs. Were doing a good job at it ourselves. We have the same Nitnem Bani's, Kakaars and most importantly Guru. What else mattters.
  10. Some names may have become popular now through Bani e.g Manpreet, Manmeet, Harnam, Harneet or Puneet - Siri Sukhmani Sahib
  11. You could enter for GCSE in Sikhi in your own intrest. Thats what II did. The school entered me for the exam but it was up to me study fro the exam in my own time. It would be better if the whole class studied SIkhi together. The questions were the same but the religion you base the answers on is your choice.
  12. Well done to Harnam Singh! This maybe one of the reasons why Guru Sahib has told us to tie a Dumalla (2 Dastars). If the first layer is removed for what ever reason your kash are still covers i.e you still are wearing a dastar.
  13. the Gurdwara Sahib is very nice. they also have alot of wilde life which are treast with care.
