I was only quoting what the comittee member said in front of the sangat earlier today, and its amazing that there is no mention of the reccomendations of the health and saftey report that Mr Sohi was referring to on the sangat tv interview? The problem is there have been so many different stories out of the comittee members own mouths, no wonder the sangat begins to doubt their motives! With regards to the allegations of sangat threatening and using bad language until I see proof, i find it hard to believe considering the sheer number of videos out there showing the peaceful nature of them

The lies came out today! This Morning on the Park Avenue Gurdwara stage, on talking about the removal of the Sahibzade picture, Amarjit Singh Dhillon, committee member, said the photos are manmat and should not be displayed. Now I thought it was health and saftey reasons, or is it that they cant remember their own versions of the truth now, masands the lof of them trying to enforce missionary sikhi on everyone! The pictures they removed from langar hall at park avenue from the walls, were people hiding drugs behind them?

The problem is the current committee of the gurdwara would rather call the police than answer the sangats questions or discuss the issues! They are making a mockery of us themselves

Guru Gobind Singh Sahib Jee Maharaaj's painting has been removed from one of the stairwells leading up to the Darbaar Sahib Jee. There are others - namely fantastically inspiring pictures of Sant Jee and Shaheed Baba Deep Singh Jee which could next face the 'axe'.. this could be a method of testing the waters.. how much do the Sangat kick up and how soon is the Spirit of the Warriors broken.. We must all stand together and let them know - this is unacceptable! the committee are not the powers that Be. The Sangat are.

Waking up and reading text messages about Sahibzade photos being taken off @ Havlock Gurudwara, Southall reminded me of my childhood, my Bibiji (Grandmother) telling me: ABOUT Baba Zorawar Singh and Baba Fateh Singh: Chote Sahibzadey The two younger sons of Guru Gobind Singh were Baba Fateh Singh, aged six and Baba Zorawar Singh, aged nine. Guru Gobind Singh's mother, Mata Gurjri, was captured along with the Guru's two youngest sons at the city of Sirhind. They were imprisoned overnight in an open tower. The following day, the two children were taken to the governor of Sirhind, Wazir Khan. He offered the children freedom and wealth if they converted to Islam. Both Baba Fateh Singh and Baba Zorawar Singh refused to convert their faith. The two boys were then bricked alive until they suffocated, and then decapitated. We may not worship the photos because Only Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji is our Guru but having those kind of pictures at my house or gurudwara made me want to know ask mum who they are and what did they do... Sad day today as Police called to SGSS Southall, Havelock Road yet again..! On Tuesday committee decided it would be a good idea to remove the huge picture of Dhan Sri Guru Gobind Singhji's two Sahibzade in Havelock rd foyer, by the Hukumnama board. But Guru Maharaaj sent 40/50 sevadaars of the Havelock Gurdwara to do benti for it not be removed, under pressure tbe cmte backed down.... But, last night (Thursday) @ midnight, they locked the doors and removed the picture while sangat watched from outside through the doors. Tonight, the number of sangat increased to over 300, including young children, their mothers and Grand Parents who remonstrated to the cmte as to why they would do such a thing..! Police where called, and are still there now in numbers.. Personally, I have no idea as to why the photo was removed, but I have no doubt that Sangat has the right to ask the question and receive a proper answer....! As I write this, it is still going on, with 100 Sangat locked outside Gurdwara and another 200 inside sitting and doing Jap of 'Satnam Waheguru'... The only question that keeps ratling in the mind is....... why?

It wasnt causing an obstruction to the lift its been there fr over 4 years! The comittee took it down because they said it was idol worship!

I understood if its over 48 hours its a sehaj Path! The reason they took longer on Sikh Channel was that they did the path at a speed that was easy for people to listen to

Why cant we al just use discretion and a little bit of common sense, is that too hard or do we need rules to be set for everything?

Just heard that Singh Sabha Southall gurdwara organised a speed dating event run by the Gurdwara matrimonial department tonight which was attended by Mr Sohi himself . I have nothing against these events as they do help people meet potential partners, but I strongly disgaree with the fact that the dinner contained meat and fish dishes. Although the event was not held on gurdwara premises the money from it is going to the gurdwara and it is organised by the gurdwara committee and promoted by the president of the gurdwara, it should follow our religious values and standards. If we turn a blind eye to these details, we are entering a downward spiral.....

You will find all major UK gurdwaras are changing over to the New Nanakshahi Calendar actually, Im sure its the same in Canada and USA as well!
