also, davinder singh, ur points on harmandir sahib maryada are flawed.. before anyone was allowed to do keertan, ie non sikhs, like muslim raagis etc.. but now only amritdhari singhs are.. before that it was different.. you have not done thorough enough research into this. a few simple points can refute what you have said, please see what i and sony have said before. also.. I have seen bibia nominated before and I have seen bibia in panj before. It is not unheard of. The problem is that today a lot of bibia do not follow enough rehat as compared to men. Few things on the last two comments.. if guru sahib meant for us to seperate the words ie: say ikonkar satnam karta purakh... why did he write ikonkarsatnaamkartapurakh are we meant to say ikonkarsatnamkartapurakh....??? many shabads start with M:3 are we also meant to say MU three or do we say mahalla teeja? There are so many examples that guru sahib expected us to use our bibek budhi in reading bani.. obviously the bindi sounds existed during guru sahibs period. Guru sahib himself wrote in farsi and other languages. or are you going to tell me now that the koran, the arabic/farsi languages etc did not exist at that time? the sounds existed, but the actual letter for them ie "S" did not exist. instead they used letters like "s" for both sounds of "s" and "S" i had a debate with myself on this awhile ago when i was first starting santhiya. but given the above, it makes sense. guru sahib didnt set out to change words and write them differently, rather he wrote the words as they were written at the time. they are no longer written like that due to the fact that we have new letters. That doesnt mean we pronounce the words written as they are spelled compared to today's bolee.
