  1. Whether they got sacked or not. Body cam video and security cam footage must be released to the public.
  2. I do not think there is any voting in any jathabandi except the institution such SGPC. There is always selection and then fight over the selection.
  3. I buy/sell properties and do investments in real estate here and there. I took Amrit close to 20 years ago when i was a student and was active in SSA and sikh camps. In my life, i recently had a realization that i am leading my life wrong way (i still do) and now gradually getting rid of unnecessary Moh/Maya stuff to lead a more modest and simple life. It is not overnight thinking but takes time. Now, don't get me wrong, i am not selling my properties and other to become a sadhu. Our guru jee didn't taught that. He taught us to do well but also vand shakna. I will continue to expand but controlling the urges of other stuff and more focusing on helping others as much as i can. Not boosting but my experience when i read this topic.
  4. i doubt on this one. You cannot just adopt that easily and then gave it to orphanage. this is just too fictional.
  5. All good intelligent and extreme humble pracharaks left this world too early. In my lifetime, i have seen: Bhai Parminder Singh ji (BC Canada) Bhai Jagraj Singh (UK) Bhai Kulbir Singh (Toronto Canada)
  6. I think you skipped the whole thread. It is not about this website lol.. Also, Statistics of this are still real good. Anyway, did you get married? I think your input would be good as i believe you went on the long journey and experience that you may want to share?
  7. Someone should flop his business model by bringing a strong couple of competitions. His clients (Lost souls) have no clue about Sikh dharam. Encourage ex-granthis of gurughars that you may know who went on different fields such as trucking after their religious visa converted into PR. Have them guide these lost souls to do anand karaj in local gurughars etc.
  8. Remember sangat ji that such people who post such one liner tweets main purpose is to ruffle the feathers. They only post to see the reactions of the opposite side. They care less about anyone but only about them and their popularity. They are historically known as boot lickers of anyone who is their master.
  9. For the past few years, all have been handing out to police/govt and its always brushed under the carpet. It has been many years and no outcome. Did the state or central govt came out any laws to deter such thing happening? No. Is this happening in Masjid or Hindu Temple? No. Only in gurughars and the only dharam which does not teach any discrimination and hate against anyone. Pardon my manners to those who are crying over this. Had we got this attitude of being pacifist couple of hundred years ago, we would have been Musalman now. We are not celebrating the killings or anything but delivering the justice. Just like at our own personal level, if anyone comes into our house or let say mine, i will shot em down for my and family safety.
  10. Agreed urban and rural has good and bad things of their own. I lived in south - rural area with small town and had a real life good life experience. Currently I’m now in the region with population of three digit - extreme small town. What you mentioned probably happens in the extreme backward rural areas and trailer parks - states such as Kentucky etc. Personally to me - urban life is a daily grind - 9am to 5pm.. Concrete jungles and right now out of control manmat such as teaching kids things that is against Sikhi. Though urban has its own benefits as well such as top healthcare, diverse social fabric which is good learning point for kids.
  11. Many years ago TOI published an article saying that this forum is anti-india with front page of the forum screenshots etc.
  12. Earth and Sky difference. Large majority of urban sikhs does not support anything that is pro-sikhi including the past 80's revolution. Rural Sikhs are good but more connected to the roots; however that may not be the case anymore. Still the difference is huge. Just like urban America leaning 100% toward liberal while rural America is more traditional family & religious orientated. Lack of empathy and support from Elite and urban sikh households toward the panth, dharam are the reasons why sikh kaum always get trampled on. That is the fact and nobody ever put focus on that area. I lived 100% of my India life in the urban area and spent my summer vacations in pind with grand parents.
  13. Please don’t turn this thread into caste and superior genetics thingy. @Premi5doabay walay did moved large numbers to Uk soon after the era world war 2 and industrialization. However they were not moving to America till it was 80/90’s. West coast of America is mostly Doaba and malwa east coast has good sizeable Majha region. My wife is from Doaba area but did not lived there. I go along with everyone but for some reason, my close friends are mainly malwa folks - hailing from Ludhiana, bathinda, patiala.
  14. Bibian are crazy on suits. I also believe that Salwar Kameez style is not our dress.
  15. This website is bookmarked permanently by spies. Many many of them. Many proven facts.
  16. This is story of all Indians living in India. They are not aware of the truth. History is getting washed away on top of that.
  17. They are all same in Sikhi wise. Majha has lot of historical religious connection as being closer to Lahore. Others were developed hundreds of years later on. 80’s revolution mostly hit Majha region - Amritsar/gurdaspur and were pressed down by hakumat for 2 decades while Doaba and malwa migrated to foreign lands during 70/80/90’s. Now out of that revolution, Majha is now migrating to Australia & Canada in large numbers.
  18. All jathabandiaan aren’t free to elect anyone in India. There’s always someone pulling some strings.
  19. Bhai sahib Bhai Kulbir Singh ji passed away today. He was very true to Sikhi and very likable as per my friends who were close to him. He helped many folks and did many prachar in Punjab and online.
  20. Wow.. City started mostly by retired Sikh army folks now overtaken by others. I guess they put huge entry barriers to buy there so Sikhs decided to settle down in Mohali area of Punjab.
  21. This is where i always say (which many disagree) that if any pro sikh movement, person has to be mature enough and follow dharam to the core otherwise they do more damage to our community psyche. Examples can be Sikhs for Justice, Deep Sidhu and there is one heavy built guy from punjab and many others. If one is not strong in dharam, they cannot be strong anywhere. These also include the lots like myself where rehit is not strong, skipping prayers etc. Sikh is our lifestyle and our Guru Granth Sahib ji is there to create our strong personality where we don't fail outside in any front. My two pence.
  22. Not really, it was majority Sikh dominated or all Punjabis as large number of army folks were alloted homes/lots there in 70/80's. We talk about casteism problem but i think the bigger issue of our kaum is status-ism (Gift left for punjabis by british raj).
  23. Depends on your definition of "Sikh Youth". If these so called "Sikh Youth" who are not following Gurus teaching then they are most welcome to do anything as they are not actually "Sikhs".
