  1. Too much ‘Krodh’ will your destroy your soul. You should do breathing exercises and do lots of naam simran. This much nindia, hatred and jealousy is not the way of a Khalsa.

  2. Looking to start a residential school with two goals - (i)Provide underprivileged kids with a childhood and education (ii) Teach these kids gurmat, sangeet and shastart vidya with a view to prepare future parcharaks - ones who will help entire humanity (not just sikhs) unlock the peace and joy that is forever within us. I have created a facebook group , please join (https://www.facebook.com/groups/402189280239697/)- Feel free to add your friends - please spread the word , also lets start idea pooling as to how make this work at scale - my vision is at least one or more schools in every city/town/village where we have sizable sikh population. Currently our dasbandh is being wasted on lavish langars and palatial gurdwaras, we need simplicity and altruism that gurus espoused

  3. Treat every woman you meet the way you'd want a single man to treat your own sister. It's not a buffet. Be respectful. Do ardas ask for help. That's as much advice as I can offer. Good luck chuck!

  5. Thanks for comments SANGH and Monatosingh, Our model is a bit different (its supposed to be very personal) - its like worldvision's one on one sponsorship where you write to the kid(s) you sponsor and talk to him/her over skype etc, so your money is not ending up in a pool with no traceability. I am personally financially independent so will ensure if the project does not succeed , it goes to some organization like SOPW .

  6. Guys secretly admire girls with open hair. My husband always used to encourage me to leave mine open. Uncut hair is hard to leave open without it blowing everywhere and getting untidy. I finally told him - they cut their hair to get that look. So yes- being amritdhari does mean that you have rid your feelings for a spouse whose looks match the western ideal stamped upon us by advert after advert about what looks best. Why don't people see it as a positive - as in a cut hair girl actually married a sikh boy When they reject pag vale we complain - do wheres the praise now? An apna married an apna and we are still sad. What do we want and who made us judges by the way?

  7. Come on don’t be so harsh on him! He’s a solid banda who is fighting for Sikh causes. This video is all about warming to those sceptical White Canadians. PR exercise nothing more. As far as his partner goes who knows what conversations have taken place between the two. Maybe she will take her Amrit from when they are officially married. Besides there are 101 Amritdhari girls who walk around who also wax and pluck so I don’t think Jagmeet Singhs fiancé can be pulled up on this yet. Also are seriously going to hold his privileged upbringing against him. He could have just chased the money and kept off the rador by being a yes man but instead he chose to be vocal about his grievances and chose to represent his community and be their voice when nobody would speak for them.

Yet you have the nerve to disrespect and do nindya of every single Samparda and Jatha that doesn't suit your narrow-minded cultish mindset. What was it you said? Oh yes..." They see a blue bana and a farla and the fan boys are going baba ji baba ji your are the best" How would you like it if I said: They see the name Khalsa Bhindrawale and the fan boys are going baba ji baba ji you are the best. Double standards isn't you gobshite.

  15. lol. But in all seriousness you guys have people who know more about Sikhi than proper keshdhari Sikhs, rather than chastising them for being moni (which could be down to ALOT of reasons out of their control) maybe learn from them and let them do something inspiring Sikhi related. Like if Moni cant do Katha now should we stop them doing Kirtan in Gurudwaras, lets stop them doing sewa of any kind too. Where do we draw the line? its all fine and dandy looking up to Sikhs with Kesh but atleast some of the moni aren't systemtically dismantling Sikh theology like say Ranjit Singh Ji. Until we actually get the numbers to do things like they did in the good ol days, we need to make adjustments.

  17. We complain because we don't have enough Sikhs in politics. When we do have one we still complain because he's not a Mahapurkh. A generalisation that one could make is Sikhs in political power have not always adhered to maryada as strictly as janta. The same is true for many other communities, and just like Jagmeet they know where their loyalties lie - for the qaum. I find it hard to believe that his motives are otherwise. If they were, he would have been at an advantage had he still been a mona rather than an Amritdhari. While there's no doubt that Raajneeti from a Dharmic perspective should always contain elements of righteousness, the means to reaching the primary objective, which I believe in this case to be the betterment of the Sikh Qaum and amassing political influence and power to wield in the international arena, may well be outwardly adharmic. This especially applies at a personal level whereby one may be exempt from certain religious laws to serve the greater good. Executing Ranneeti and Raajneeti simply cannot be held to the standards of Rehat Maryada namely due to the fact that this is Kalyug. As stated in another post we cannot and should not expect the neetikaars to be pious and religious figures. Unless of course we're happy being personae non gratae forever. If it later becomes evident that his motivations, intentions, and loyalties lie elsewhere, by all means tear him down.

  18. Avoid upsetting the sangat at all costs. If you can do parchar then you can have a saabat surat as well. Imagine kesatari starting to trim just because you the parcharak does. Don't let this hold you back. We do need good parcharaks. esp with long beards.

  21. I'm in a position where if I make a joke, there is a high risk of it being taken seriously. So I'm actually gonna be serious and say, no I don't believe Sikhs actually do this. Doing ardaas halfway through has to be the most ridiculous thing I've heard. If one had such self-control in the first place, one would not be in that situation. Although it might work if you're praying for some divine contraception there. Japping Naam on the job...just plain weird, super weird.

  22. Yes of course, that’s a wise thing to say, and it is the month of Magh. So well done to them for all the seva they did to get the Gurdwara back again. Like I said I can’t judge them, because you can tell they were very humbled on receiving the siropas, but I’ve never seen that many, that’s all.

  24. These guys have done a mahaan seva. The Gurdwara was in an unbelievable state. The management committee are beyond corrupt, planned on allowing the Gurdwara to dilapidate to such a degree that it would inevitably have to be shut down, to then be demolished and in its place build flats. Whether these guys deserve siropay or not, I can't say but they sure as hell deserve the panths love and blessings.

  27. Bro these videos are made by a bunch of retards. Nothing to worry about. It's such a lame attempt to defame. That guy in the video isn't even talking about Sikhs and the poster can't even use their own voice to read out quotes or show their face. Guru nindaks. They'll get what's coming to them.

  28. Yeah, that's a good way of putting it. I agree that it would be ludicrous to say that other religions (including Islam) have no truth whatsoever. On the other hand, Guru Granth Sahib is pure truth, or simply, God.

  32. We have blind faith (anni shardha) in rituals such as akhand path, chavar, parikrama, sukhasan / parkash , rumala charana, nishan sahib, matha tekna, nagar kirtans , karah parshad but we have zero faith in knowledge imbibed in the book we call our Guru (which literally means 'guide'). In fact deep down in our hearts we firmly believe that reading SGGS and them implementing the teachings in our day to day life will not bring any special benefit and hence we are willing to study lot of self help books but overlook the timeless wisdom contained in the guru. If you do agree then rather than merely liking this post, please start studying one or two pages with full concentration (as if you were to write an exam tomorrow) and contemplate all day long on what you read. 34. Not every farmer who is in extreme debt has taken a loan out because he wants to show off to the rest of the village. This is a perception that some vested interests try to create. Farming has been unproductive for many years now with input prices increasing and only a pittance paid for the produce. Either the farmer sits at home or he farms and in so doing has to take out loans to cover the input costs. The GOI has a monopoly on the produce of the Punjabi farmer and he has to wait months to get paid for his produce. The Indian colonial set up in Punjab is created so that raw produce is brought from the Punjabi farmer cheaply and processed outside the state and then sold at a higher rate. This is the same thing that the British did when they ruled India where they brought raw materials from the colony and these were processed in the mills and factories in the the UK and sold back to the Indians. The are a number of Sikh charities now which are concentrating on Sikh issues. Sikh Relief helps Sikh prisoners and their families as well as the families of those who gave their lives in the Sikh freedom struggle. British Sikh Council has taken up the Vanjara and Sikligar issue over the last few years. Hopefully these and other Sikh charities who are solely working on Sikh issues will overtake Khalsa Aid in future and the Sangat's money will go towards helping our community to meet and pass the challenges it faces from our enemies.

  38. Lol.......sant Baba Thakur Singh ji didn't make up a story. There is a video on YouTube of Sant Baba Thakur Singh ji stating the truth. Sant Jarnail Singh ji was not some normal sikh. Sikhs who believe in Baba ji bachan are giving proper respect and if some people being fools want to misinterpret it. Then how is that on the Sikhs? Sant ji always had utmost respect for Baba ji. Shaheeds status goes to those who are shaheeds and Sant ji is not. If you want to travel down this road. Then bachittar Natak is being misinterpret and now we should hide Sri Dasam Granth Sahib because Dasam Bani is not being given the earned status. That's it, stop all katha of Sri Dasam Granth Sahib ji. No more akhand paath. No kirtan. Shorten up the nitnem because by doing nitnem we are feeding those who will not give the earned respect for Dasam Bani.
