What planet are you on? This kind of dumb thinking by Sikh females will guarantee they will be some ar5ehole's sex slave in the advent of any conflict. Do you not get the simple fact that Guru Gobind Singh ji (Guru Nanak in their tenth form) instructed Singh's to have bandooks? Is that too hard for you to understand?

What am I supposed to make of the fact that our people, especially the amritdhari section, are this clueless about their own religion/heritage that they haven't got a clue about how their ancestors were armed. We haven't even touched the issue of astaars like cannons either. Shasternaam mala's section on bandooks is the largest one within. Is there any coming back from this level of cluelessness? Would most amritdharis even carry firearms if they could? I doubt it - look at the US Sikhs.

I like how you're back for your eight hour shift having ignored the massive amount of evidence and explanation that people have been kind enough to give you. I also like how you not only ignore the gifts of information given to you but avoid questions like, why is your photo made to look like it's you? Other people pick photos that clearly are not meant to be them, but you went to great lengths to pick a photo to make you look "real", that clearly isn't you.

Talk about getting the wrong end of soti! lol If we look at more contemporary sources, it looks like the kirpan was only one of 5 shasters that a Khalsa was expected to carry; amongst which was a gun. I think colonialism played a big part in diluting the original instructions because the colonists didn't want fully armed Singhs bowling about in their highly profitable 'annexed' territory for obvious reasons. So being truly tyar baar tyar eventually dwindled down to a small 'symbolic' item. It's hard not to come to this conclusion given all the evidence.

Why do they have to say Sikh in the title that just makes it worse for Sikhs. (Not saying he doesn't deserve to be Sikh) It's like saying if a christian man launched a terorr attack they won't say he is christian, they will probably say white man or just his name. If an Asian does it they have to include the race.

Sito Kaur - Its a fact that all recent countries that have gained independence have been through civil war or struggle, so to claim Khalsa Raj will genie itself through nam jap and solely through kirpaana is fantasising to the highest degree. I'm not going to call you a troll but you do need to have a long hard look at yourself and not point fingers when you do not have a single person backing your agenda as it is so contrary to EVERYTHING Guru's stood for wrt Shashtars.

translation from an old post. we can hear this in kirtan form by Balbir Singh tiro tufango bado raam jango dhamakhdhaar aniar kamand kor-rhaa panj sastar parvaan tiro = lance/spear, tufango = rifle, bado raam jango = revolver/pistol dhamakhdhaar aniar = bow and barbed arrow kamand kor-rhaa = shastar similar to golaa, panj shastar parvaan = these five shastar are accepted/necessary (for sikhs to keep on them)

Yeah. That made me chuckle. I was just making sure it wasn't some super horrible joke that you had to edit out or something that I missed. When I used to eat meat, I'd order a cheeseburger, and then with a dead serious face ask the waiter to make sure only kosher ingredients were used.

Is the joke he's referring to about the earrings? I'm confused. I think we all agree the Guru Sahiban are worthy of our respect. If it was the joke about the earring stand, I thought it was funny, but I have all the class of a stray dog. I think when we are free of the five vices we will look at this maya and laugh and laugh. Everything we took so seriously, how offended we were on behalf of our own fragile egos. This place is too ugly not to be a big joke in the end. I also think whether it's the Guru Sahiban, or Buddah, or Christ, that they must have a really good sense of humor and some thick skin. I bet they spend half their time laughing at us and the other half shaking their heads. I guess it's fair to say some people thought it was funny and some didn't, and if we're upset about it, it's an opportunity to release some damas and chant the naam and chuckle.

@sitokaur you dont seem to be answering any queries but go off an an odd tangent every time you post and most of it not making any sense. I suggest you take a long hard look at your thought processes and return after introspection. you obviously have no straight answers but skirt around 'direct' questions like a fine well rehearsed politician. Repeating your same confused messages is not helping anyone here or yourself. If I'm correct I think you also post on Gurmat Bibek site under a another username and there it's much of the same, no sense in your posts. This will be my final reply to you.

The Sikh pant? You mean this? You might consider learning how to spell before you come on here telling Sikhs that they don't know anything. Yeah, I'm sure you are furious that Sikhs believe that Guru Nanak ji is higher than your beloved Prophet Mohammed. So touchy about being asked which religion, are we? I don't belong to any branch of the RSS or any other anti-Sikh organization for that matter. If you're not a sheep, you must be weasel since you're not willing to identify which of the 72 mazhabs of the Ummah you belong to. I'm not the one who made this statement originally, but I don't really see what the big deal is, either. He said "symbol". You should be able to understand that. It is often said that "ਪਾਪਾਂ ਦੀ ਬੇੜੀ ਭਰ ਕੇ ਡੁੱਬਦੀ ਹੈ" (oh, should I put that into Arabic script so you can read it, akh?). So the execution of Guru Tegh Bahadur ji represented the summit of evil by Aurangzeb, sometime after the decline of his empire began. It's not the 5 ਭਈਏ, you dolt! How dare you insult the Guru's beloved 5 Singhs in that way. In Sikhism, a major emphasis is put on humility. The point is that if God can humble Himself, man can also. This was also to cement the principle of rule by the 5. ੪ (Did they teach you how to read Gurmukhi in your RSS/jihadi training camp?) When, indeed. There is no such book as the "Surah Prakash Granth". Get your head out of the Koran for just a second so you can make a convincing show of being a Sikh. Oh, you mean your jihadi training camp never took you on a field trip to a Gurdwara before letting you loose? If they had, you'd know what it is. ਸੂਰਜ ਪ੍ਰਕਾਸ਼ is the granth of which ਕਥਾ is done every evening in every large gurdwara in the world.

Guestguestguest is so confused! !!!! No offensive posts from guests should be allowed. I am surprised that raag mala, dasam granth etc arennot allowed to be debated.... yet we can slander sri Guru Har Krishan Jis contribution to sikhi to our hearts content with profane language referring to the death and suicide of the Gurus. Truly these posts have been the lowest I have ever read anywhere. Very very sad. Very very bad. ...
  33. 1 point
Dasam Granth is proof of that. Along side various scriptures written by Sikhs in the 18th/19th century. But of course, all those people are wrong. You're 100% right, I mean what would they know? Maha Kavi Sankokh Singh Ji spent 40 years researching and gathering all the information, but of course he decided to become a Hindu and write it all about Hinduism, I mean let's just discard it and throw away all our history. That was the order of the 5 Pyare you dolt, They told Guru Sahib he had to survive and hide. Which he did. Are you going to argue against Gurbani that calls Guru Nanak Dev Ji through to Guru Arjun Dev Ji as being God? wow. I see how it is, you think you know better than Gurbani. This alone speaks volumes of how little and narrow minded your brain is. Firstly the giving of the head was an excuse to orchestrate the fall of the Mughal empire, in-fact that marked a turning point. Suraj Prakash Granth. If you want to argue against it, argue with the Historian who compiled it, I would love to see your pHD and research into puratan Sikh sources. The smallpox was an EXCUSE to pass on the Gurghaddi, for a simpleton like you that's a difficult thing to understand I presume. It's hilarious that, this simple explanation blows your mind. Will you now doubt that Baba Deep Singh Ji fought without his head? that Guru Nanak Dev Ji mad Mecca revolve? They encouraged the Nirgun worship of God but Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji outright even states Guru Nanak Dev Ji was God. ਗੁਰ ਨਾਨਕ ਦੇਵ ਗੋਵਿੰਦ ਰੂਪ ॥੮॥੧॥ ^ if you think that line is wrong and completely false then you may stop calling yourself a Sikh. Do you even know what it means? not the translation but have you actually done an in-depth study of it? Oh boy if I didn't know any better this is just Sukhvirk changing facades again. Mool Mantar addresses the Sargun AND Nirgun aspects of God. If believing that God resides in everything and everyone is Hinduism then please, you're in the wrong religion. Frankly every ancient text in Sikhism proclaims Guru Nanak Dev Ji was aap parmeshwar, but let me guess. All of them are wrong and you're right. Brahmgyan eluded the sikhs of old but somehow Guru Sahib has impart it onto you so you can help all us mere mortals.

bro even Rig Veda told Brahmins that Kalyug and Eternal Avtar Guru will be named Nanak that after him will be ten Gurus the last being Munn = Silent ...if your own faith's writings don't put anything faith in you another's highest writings tell you he is the one full Avtar
  36. 1 point
The Spirit behind the forms was still Guru Nanak Dev Ji, why they came in 10 forms is something you should ask them Sargun/Nirgun principle. God exists as both Nirgun (without form, attribute etc) but also as Sargun (with forms e.g the universe). Bhai Lehna Ji was a hindu, Guru Angad Dev Ji was not. Guru Arjun Dev Ji disappeared into the Ravi river, as for SatGuru Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji Maharaj, he merely had the executioner touch his mortal frame, the head simply fell off. Guru Harkrishan Ji finished his mission, hence why he allowed himself to contract smallpox. The whole universe, every living being is his child. Mool manter describes God in his Nirgun form til Gur Prasad. Then it also inputs God's sargun aspects as well. So it all fits perfectly.

Quite astounding that you've never heard anyone say that Guru is God. Sikhs have always believed that until the new crop of 20th century "professors" came along to deny that fact in order to please their foreign masters. I didn't watch the whole video, but props to Bhai Jugraj Singh for stating basic Sikh theology, which is that Guru is God. If the Gurus were human beings (don't say "are"), then they are dead. Why follow what they say? They have no more authority than the average Joe.

WJKK WJKF That is the weirdest thing I have ever heard. I'd suggest practicing rehat before you take amrit. It's a big commitment, not many understand this and you wouldn't enjoy going pesh every now and then. For your reference here is what you must practice: http://www.gurunanakdarbar.net/sikhrehatmaryada.pdf Practice this so you know what you will be doing before you do take amrit.

Why does it matter? To Sikhs it doesn't matter what caste they married, those who say they married within their same castes were not there to witness it or prove it. End of the day the Guru's lead people out of living and thinking like subhuman dark practises and into the light through their love, wisdom and humanity.

Waheguru is not a human. How can it "think"? How can the all pervading One, how can the force in the bacteria, to the great elephant, the force driving the sun, the orbits of the planets, how can that One be anything like a human? How is it possible for us to understand how it works, how it acts? Panenthiestic is a better word to describe the concept of Waheguru. Waheguru is the Universe, it drives it. But Waheguru is beyond the Universe, it is above this manifestation. Everything is simply a "manifestation" of that One. When these things are destroyed, they simply return to the One. ਲੋਗਾ ਭਰਮਿ ਨ ਭੂਲਹੁ ਭਾਈ ॥ Logaa Bharam N Bhoolahu Bhaaee || O people, O Siblings, do not wander deluded by doubt. Khaalik Khalak Khalak Mehi Khaalik Poor Rehiou Srab Thaanee ||1|| Rehaao || The Creation is in the Creator, the Creator is in the Creation, totally pervading and permeating all places. ||1||Pause||

Well we best spend money and effort on doing parchar in India, rather than waste money on <banned word filter activated> projects. Like spending 2.5 million rupees on painting all the buildings at Anandpur Sahib white. What a waste of money, not only are we destroying our history, defacing historic buildings, but that money could be used for something to benefit the panth. Think of the drug deaddiction centres, schools, parchaar, seva of poor Sikhs that could be done with that money.
