  1. I’ve got senchiya of Guru Granth Sahib and do a sehaj paath regularly. I read 5 angs nice and slowly. It’s even better than listening to paath at a Gurdwara.

  2. you want to quote Gandhi to sikhs as a valid philosophy when that paedo <banned word filter activated> called Dasmesh pita ji a deluded rebel ? ... try growing a spine and seeing the world for what it is non-friendly to sikhi ...or anything Godly or good and decide to fight for right and justice for the oppressed otherwise what good is your sikhi ?... we are all supposed to bring light to this dark world ...not hide our God given jot under a kambal and turn a blind eye

  4. We have blind faith (anni shardha) in rituals such as akhand path, chavar, parikrama, sukhasan / parkash , rumala charana, nishan sahib, matha tekna, nagar kirtans , karah parshad but we have zero faith in knowledge imbibed in the book we call our Guru (which literally means 'guide'). In fact deep down in our hearts we firmly believe that reading SGGS and them implementing the teachings in our day to day life will not bring any special benefit and hence we are willing to study lot of self help books but overlook the timeless wisdom contained in the guru. If you do agree then rather than merely liking this post, please start studying one or two pages with full concentration (as if you were to write an exam tomorrow) and contemplate all day long on what you read. 5. baby oil is the worst thing you could put on you and your baby it is a petrochemical by product and blocks the pores of the skin... swap it for a natural cold pressed fruit/nut/seed oil

  6. try castor oil , cold pressed and organic ...you can add rose otto oil , lemon oil, rosemary even peppermint essential oil for scent . when we were young mum used to get Indian 'swastika' brand of perfumed castor oil and our hair was lovely and strong , Dad used to mix it half and half with coconut for his hair. flaxseed oil mixed with castor and cold pressed organic olive oil would give a lot of different nutrients to you scalp

  11. Its the same bhenji. Bad smell though. You could choose the lighter version. There Is one for hair which Is lighter and less stickier. I used bottles to massage my son on the body when he was younger.

  13. I use conditioner sometimes. Hair seems to get straighter. Cucumbers contain silica which strengthens hair. Paneer, seeds and nuts are good for hair too. Body wash gels are not as harsh as shampoo.

  14. My MIL made me use virgin olive oil... before a bath. So I had to apply it on thick... massage well and leave for an hour or two. Then after wash it off with warm water. All the curls came off my hair. I got lovely straight hair. I use coconut oil in the same way. Apply... massage and waah off. I leave baby oil on. I use some everyday. Not on scalp but on hair.

  15. Ji haan. I've used the cooking one lots of times. Don't use baby oil. Try using a mix of castor oil and jojoba oil. Mix some other essential oils in, if it would be suitable for you phenji. Last time I did that all the aunties and uncles were coming at me like zombies from The Walking Dead!!

  17. Phenji, Budha Dal lifestyle is a difficult lifestyle. I'm not trying to put you off or anything but their minimum Rehat isn't easy. Taksal isn't easy either although it's more balanced for lack of a better word. They are sort of equally Sant-Sipahi. Nihangs are more focused on the Sipahi side but they are no less Sant than Taksal. Just depends on what sort of lifestyle you want to pursue. Read about the different Sampardas and what their roles have been throughout history to help you make your choice. Best way to put it is Taksal is sort of a cross between Nirmala and Nihang. If all that makes sense. Hope it helps.

  22. Chor won't leave us until we take steps to leave them - even then they never disappear completely, they are also vital. Taking Amrit is the 1st step, can take many life forms to control urges. I'm not going to give too much advice as I'll be a hypocrite, however I have heard, changes in lifestyle, what we hear, see, speak require re-tuning away from the material world (ninda, watching stuff that pulls mind in gutter, talking nonsense), then focus mind solely on present and find the right sangat. All comes with Gurprasad. Overthinking results in stress and tension we can do without.

  25. Brother 13Mirch Jee, I would suggest you not to leave, stay here, we need cool guys like you also. You have to keep in mind, quality control and moderators are human beings also, thus not perfect. They have a tough job themselves in being moderators. So if you disagree with any of their actions, just overlook and forgive them. Not everybody has the same point of views. But that does not imply, you should leave this site. You have never harmed anybody, nor being disrespectful as far as I remember. It is a pity if you leave, just as Jacfsingh did, or some others also. You write what you want, and if you believe you have not done anything wrong, then you may protest, and for sure you will have all the support from the sangat here. I take this opportunity, to plead mods/admin, for not allowing anybody being bully here, be it anyone. It does more harm, the any good. For the good members leave away, and the bad continue to stay and keep on bullying from time to time. Stay blessed 13Mirch Jee. Sat Sree Akal.

  27. I’ve heard many of are uk jails are dominated by Muslims and many prisoners have converted to Islam solely to survive the hostile environments... I wouldn’t be suprised if they struggle to get such time to do path in such environments.... i feel sorry for them but do not support what they wanted to do.... an eye for an eye makes the whole world blind.. lets hope waheguru will forgive there mistakes regardless of intentions...
