  2. What you tend to find with any group that like to boast about themselves. Is that the louder someone shouts the more insecure he is inside. Thats why foxes, dogs and hyensas bark alot and make a scene to try and scare or imtimidate. But A lion just does one growl and shows them who is the boss. The moral of the story is confidence is quiet insecurity is loud. This is not directed at all jatts but only those that boast and try and put others down.

  3. Khalsa college was founded by the manager of Sri Nankana Sahib management committee in the mid-1930s mainly as a college where the lower castes that Dr Ambedkar had promised would convert to Sikhism would be taught. We need to beware when accepting the anti-Akali dal trope that the Akalis or Jat leaders refused to admit Dr Ambedkar to Sikhi. This is a lie that has gained currency especially after 1984 as a way of showing that the Akali Dal has never had the best interests of the Sikhs. Dr Ambedkar did show an inclination to become a Sikh and it was because of this that Sardar Narain Singh the manager of the Sri Nankana Sahib estate management committee was chosen to go to Bombay and set up a college for the lower caste converts. If the Akalis really did not have lower caste Sikhs then why did they set up missionary centres to convert low caste Hindus to Sikhism in places like Hapur, Aligarh and even places in the south such as Mysore? The SGPC even set up a printing press in Bombay ostensibly for the use of Dr Ambedkar to print his newspaper and books. It goes to the credit of Dr Ambedkar that he returned all the money spent on the printing press when he did not convert to Sikhism. There might be other reasons for why he did not convert to Sikhism but to blame the SGPC or Akali Dal or 'Jats' is clearly false. With regard to Sikhism being hijacked by Jats that is not the case at all. Do Jats place Bhagat Dhanna Jat as a Guru equivalent to the Gurus as some others castes have done lately with Bhagats of their background? That would be hijacking a religion. Has any Jat Sikh ever expressed disappointment that none of the Gurus belonged to a Jat background? The fact is that Sikhs from a Jat background are majority of Sikhs and hence they control most of the institutions of the Panth which is natural given that we use democratic means to select our leaders. If the Jat Sikhs were say, 2% of the Sikh population and they had the influence and leadership positions they have now ( just as Brahmins have in Hindusm) then it would fair to say that they have hijacked Sikhism. In places like Delhi where the number of Jat Sikhs among the Sikh population are miniscule there are no Jat Sikhs in leadership positions.

  4. 1. he was within his reasonable expectations as he had made a previous uneventful visit besides knowing his citizenship offered some protections theoretically. We have the right to visit our itihaasic Gurdwarey , to see extended family this isn't zakhirya Khan's time despite what RSS believes they are. Then sikhs came out of the jungles and showed that they would live on their own terms and die the same . Death is a certainty , the only choice is :die fighting on your feet or cowering on your knees. As for your bogus statements about western activists not going into the lion's mouth to support humanity suffering oppression you are so wrong : Andy Hall sitting in a thai jail , with serious cases being thrown at him because he exposed the human rights abuses of the thai pineapple industry, Cynthia KeppleyMahmood who was gangraped by the forces and her life threatened for daring to bring the truths of the sikhs to the world , our own Jaswant SIngh khalra was just a bank manager but he found the truth and brought it to the world then went back to his home from Canada even though he knew he may not survive - DO NOT dismiss people who are willing to pay the price in full. Black lists for Diaspora sikhs as they are the ones the GOI can't get hold of easily. 2) Tan and Preet can only work within the law , you can see what happens when you work for another govt - bye bye Priti Patel GOI chamcchi. 5. " SABR " I’ve always wondered what SABR (Patience ) is I was never given a proper definition so my concept of it was somewhat distorted; All I understood was that you wait until it’s over. But now, if I were to put it into words, this is what I’ve gathered so far: SÂBR is suppressing that angry voice in your head, the one that wants to yell at people for being inconsiderate to your struggle. SÂBR is swallowing this voice, overcoming it and learning to channel it towards a heartfelt du'a instead. SÂBR is forgiving someone when they dismiss your feelings. SÂBR is meeting those who deserted you, with a smile on your lips, even though your tears are one step away from exposing you. SÂBR is staying silent because you’ve already stated your point too many times before. SÂBR is conforming to someone’s demand because of their right over you. SÂBR is fulfilling the rights of others even when they transgress against yours. SÂBR is crying about your heartache in front of God and no one else. SÂBR is believing wholeheartedly that God has beautiful things in store for you. SÂBR is crawling forward even when you want to stop. SÂBR is an active state of being, it is not a theory to simply be discussed and forgotten.... ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

  6. If our great Guru Tegh Bahadur didn’t give his head to save Hinduism, there would have been 1.5 billion Muslims compared to 500 million Muslims in the Indian subcontinent. look at the state of Indonesia, Islam was 50% couple of decades ago and now it’s close to 90%. The Islamic time bomb would have exploded in India too. The Shahidi Devas of the 9th Guru is on 23 November.

  9. I said "some" seem to have a "degree " of inferiority complex. It's like English language. It's a Germanic language coming from Angles who were a tribe/people from Northern Germany like the Saxons which is why they call anglo speaking people Anglo -Saxon. If we use the Punjabi language analogy by "some" of our people then all the English people are German. However, if you have ever been to Germany (like Saxony states where Saxons came from) and have a look at the German compared to the average English person then you will notice a big difference. I would say the average German is far blonder, taller and even their features are slightly different. What would be likely is that the Anglo Saxon migration would have a bigger linguistic and cultural impact but a minimal genetic impact. Then we have had the Norman invasion, the word "Norman" comes from the word "Norsemen " who were Vikings that settled in Normandy in Northern France. Since they were French speakers, I am sure that a lot of French loan words were introduced into the English language but I'm sure the English are not French. However, the Brits (people of England,Scotland, Ireland and Wales) are related to Brittany in Northern France which is why Britain is called "Great Britain". Like I said before there is some cultural overlap but it is not simple as we like to think. Another example are the Azeris of Northern Iran. Azeris are the same stock as the Persians who after being run over by the Turkic speaking peoples changed over their language from Iranian/Persian related to a Turkic one. However, they are not genetically Mongols or Turks from Siberia. Same can be said in regards to modern Turkey to some extent.

  10. 1) Yes It's strange because he is not mr average joe british punjabi going for a holiday. I am fully supportive of his earliest release by the authorities in punjab. However to me this case is abnormal as for a british born guy who is against the Indian establishment by highlighting their crimes online to the world then wonders off to the same country on holiday that does not acknowledge the horrible genocidal crimes it committed against his community nor jails those responsible but gives them high govermental posts and z+ commando secutity. You think India has civilized? their drunkard uncivilized police is not using torture against their own and foreign civilians? not corrupt? I certainly wouldn't take the risk going to India unless I was there to help bring down the corrupt regime that's for sure. Why dont you see activists in the west like those who campaign against human rights abuses go to countries such as saudi, china, etc? because they would be tortured and/or killed by the corrupt brutal evil regimes. So I'm guessing he knew the risks but just got unlucky cos India does have a pretty top of the range cyber intelligence monitoring facilities, they have started to oppress, raid and jail those citizens who raise their voices against state corruption and state terrorism by india.. its strange he didnt think Indian authorities would not be keen to pick people like him up. He is lucky he is Britsh and Sikhs in the west will raise their voice for him and tarnish India's image aboard and harm india's national interests too if need be. Why you think a black lists exists against Sikhs born in India? As they actively campaign against Indian establishment for their terrorism against Sikh civilians. Why do you think they never go back to India? come on use your brain... 2) Tan Dhesi MP can only do so much for Sikh causes his primary objective is to cater for his constituents who elected him either way he is a visible symbol of a British born Sikh in the houses of parliament and he must recognise he represents the interests of the British Sikh population who look to him aswell as Preet Kaur MP to raise their voices for their fellow Sikh being held unjustifiably by the Indian authorities. Just as Muslim MP's fight for causes for their religious community as do Jewish MP's for Israels' interests and as do Hindu MP's for India's interests. Sikh MP's should actively fight for self determination of a Sikh homeland, highlight human rights abuses against Sikhs aboard and aswell as deal with issues and concerns of their constituents. 3) And no you grow up. There is a such a thing as doing a citizens arrest against known criminals. If British Sikhs are so passionate about protesting let them take direct action in arresting these dodgy Indian officials when they visit the UK to serve as a deterrent against Sikhs being killed or detained in india for dodgy grounds or anti-human rights reasons. Sometimes you gotta take a stand on an issue you care passionately about. If you remember the case of gay human rights activist peter thatchill he tried to make a citizens arrest of zimbabawe president robert mugabe when he visited the UK he failed to do that but it highlighted in the media further the crimes of mugabe . If even 100 Sikhs did the same the next time a high ranking India official came to visit the UK there will be a mini riot and it will radicalise a whole generation of sleeping well integrated and law abiding british Sikhs against injustices of any state that physically attacks them (which the govt can ill afford) Nothing in life is given to you on a plate you have to fight for it and ensure you keep fighting to maintain your human rights and equal treatment in society. 4) And lastly Nazanin is a british Spy working for MI6 and she is married to a fellow officer. UK foreign secretary Boris johnson MP the goof, let the cat out of the bag when he told the parliamentary committee she was training iranians how to be journalists, he wouldn't have said such a specific thing if it wasnt true and he wasn't briefed about it by intelligence officers. And if you know anything about foreign intelligence gathering you'd know must foreign spies work under cover as journalists and in NGO's to give a free pass in accessing area's or influencing populations of their enemy/rivals. So come on time to wake up and come into the real world, what you see on the news is only half the story. The true full story they never want to reveal openly cos it could harm their governments national and economic interests.

  12. 1. nothing strange ... he went to get engaged and married ...just like a whole lot of our families. Mum had done the rishta with older bro's help before passing 2 Tan dhesi has been involved too, but Preet Kaur Gill is the leader of the cross-party political group helping sikhs 3 grow up , you can't just wander into another country and do what you like neither can you detain officials this isn't India diplomatic immunity means something in international law.. india refused to sign the international accord on human rights which included agreement to not use torture or compelled confessions so there you have proof positive that India cannot be touched by that law as they didn't agree to be bound by it. Nazanin is not a british spy , and she too is suffering Iranian jail away from her husband and child , she has been held on a false case and will have another tried which she will possibly be locked up for 16 years . The human right organisations are trying their best to highlight her case.

  13. Well then why not learn Arabic while you're at it as well. I'll argue that Punjabi has more words borrowed from Arabic than Farsi, words like haq, rabb, dunya, sawaal, jawaab, kitaab, quam, insan, mushkil, mubarakan, maut, qanun, ijat, barkat, shukr, mujrim, qursi - these are just a few of the many that I recall. What I'm trying to get at it is that just because we have borrowed words from other languages, which is a very commonly seen phenomenon in linguistics and is referred to as loanwords, doesn't mean our language has roots in the language borrowed from. Punjabi and Punjabis have no roots in Farsi or Arabic, so I don't know why some of our own claim that. If anything Punjabi has roots in Sanskrit, but it is an apabrahmsha meaning a corrupted version of Sanskrit - like all present day Indo-Aryan languages. You're right in saying that when Sikhs had the chance to spread Punjabi/Gurmukhi, we didn't, and that was our biggest mistake. Honestly, we could have been like the Arabs, we could have spread our culture and language to the ends of South Asia, but unfortunately due to poor leaders we failed to do so. And I reiterate again, learning a new language is a great intellectual pursuit and everyone should take part, but don't suggest that it is imperative that Sikhs learn Farsi or Arabic because we have roots in those languages, that’s simply not true.

  14. FOCUSSING One daughter, went to her father and said... I won't be going to Gurudwara anymore.. He said, may I ask why?? She said, I see people on their cell phones during service, some are gossiping, some just ain't living right, they are all just hypocrites... Father became silent, and he said, OK... But can I ask you to do something for me before you make your final decision? She said, what's that? He said, take a glass of water and walk around the Gurudwara 2 times and don't let any water fall out the glass. She said, yes I can do that. She came back and said it's done. He asked her 3 questions: 1. Did you see anybody on their phone? 2. Did you see anybody gossiping? 3. Was anybody living wrong? See, I didn't see anything because I was too focused on this glass, so the water wouldn't fall. He told her, when you go to a Gurudwara, that is what you ought to do, you should be just focused on God, that much , so that YOU won't fall, by being receptive to His kirpa.

When you sit to meditate, tell yourself that - this moment - I don’t need anything.. 2nd thing - I am not doing anything... and the 3rd thing is - I am nothing .... Don’t think that you “have to meditate”!! ... Just sit and become empty ... ?

  16. How to deal with negativity An elephant ? took a bath in a river and was walking on the road. When it neared a bridge, it saw a pig ???? fully soaked in mud coming from the opposite direction. The elephant quietly moved to one side, allowed the dirty pig to pass and then continued its onward journey. The unclean pig later spoke to its friends in arrogance, “See how big I am; even the elephant was afraid of me and moved to one side to let me pass”. On hearing this, some elephants questioned their friend, the reason for its action. Was it out of fear? The elephant smiled and replied, “I could have easily crushed the pig under my leg, but I was clean and the pig was very dirty. By crushing it, my leg will become dirty and I wanted to avoid it. Hence, I moved aside.” This story reveals : Realized souls will avoid contact with negativity not out of fear, but out of desire to keep away from impurity though they are strong enough to destroy the impurity. You need not react to every opinion, every comment, or every situation. Kick the drama and keep going ahead Choose your battles wisely... Not everything deserves your time and attention

  17. PRACTICE, FAITH & MORE PRACTICE If you are demotivated because you are not getting good opportunities... then this story will motivate you... Once, Lord Indra got upset with Farmers, he announced there will be no rain for 12 years & you won't be able to produce crops Farmers begged for clemency from Lord Indra, who then said, Rain will be possible only if Lord Shiva plays his Damru, but he secretly requested Lord Shiva not to agree to these Farmers & when Farmers reached Lord Shiva he repeated the same thing that he will play Damru after 12 years Disappointed Farmers decided to wait till 12 years but one Farmer regularly was digging treating & putting manure in the soil & sowing the seeds even with no crop emerging Other Farmers were making fun of that Farmer. After 3 years all Farmers asked that Farmer why are you wasting your time n energy when you know that rains will not come before 12 years He replied " I know that crop won't come out but I'm doing it as a matter of "practice". After 12 years I will forget the process of growing crops n working in the field so I must keep it doing so that I'm fit to produce the crop, the moment there is rain after 12 years Hearing his argument Goddess Parvati praised his version before Lord Shiva & said You may also lose the practice of playing the Damru after 12 years The innocent Lord Shiva in his anxiety just tried to play the Damru, if he could, and hearing the sound of Damru immediately there was rain n the farmer who was regularly working in the field got his crop emerged immediately and others were disappointed. Debriefing of this story The game is won during the practice, not during the performance. If you are waiting for the good opportunity before you start practicing, then you have lost the race. "Practice is boring but that's what makes your performance interesting"

  18. The media and the liberal elites hate Tommy because he states his views about the way the elites have allowed people into this country without any vetting. The elites do not face the sharia patrols or the child grooming as they live far away from the problem areas and it is the common people like Tommy who's families face these. If you watch his videos he has educated himself on how dangerous Islamic extremism is for this county and he now had enough knowledge to understand when he is being lied to by Muslims. You can't really fault his views because these views are formed by both his experience. As Sikhs we should admire him as he is out there putting his life in danger and his faced with hostility not just from extremist Muslims but the whole Muslim community as well as the left wing media and the political establishment. The same people who are against Tommy are the same people who are against Sikhs and would not lose an opportunity to show us in a bad light while walking on eggshells when dealing with Muslims. Look at the one man band called Sikhs against the EDL. They have never even dealt the child grooming issue and try and post a contrary view to theirs and they will ban you from their facebook profile. They are the real fascists. The reason why people like Tommy exist is not because there is a inherent racism among the white British but because of the fact that some Muslims have engaged in not just terrorism but also child grooming across the UK. Had there been no Muslims engaging in terrorism in the UK and there were no child grooming going on then people like Tommy would not exist.

The boy answered: It’s very small. I can barely see it. So the father took him to the airport and as they approached an airplane he asked: And now, what is the size of this one? The boy answered: Wow daddy, this is huge! Then the father told him: Like this is God, His size depends on how distant you are from Him. The closer you are to Him, the greater He will be in your life!

  27. Human beings like many other species are organised into hierarchies. The caste system is a hierarchy, you can destroy this hierarchy but it will be replaced by another hierarchy. Humans have always discriminated amongst each other for various reasons. If it is not based on caste it will be something else. There is a phemenon happening with Gurdwarae I hear from relatives in California. Gurdwarae aren't based in commitees where one is Jatts dominated or Tharkhan dominated. They are seperated by what is happening locally. There are different gurdwarae based on if you are a "trucker" or a "doctor".

  28. Caste in Punjab is an issue because of the Brahmin Elite that controls all institutions of India. Taking ownership of a 'Brahmin' problem detracts the attention from the real culprits and architects of this menace. We as Sikhs do not believe, practice or promote this 'Brahminical' system of apartheid. However as the laws and and constitution of India refuse to outlaw or make these practises a criminal offence, the Punjab is always going to affected by this. For example the reservation posts for 'scheduled casts' causes resentment amongst the so called higher casts who may well be poorer in some cases and the 'scheduled cast' status is something lower casts are more than happy to embrace for certain benefits. A better system would be a 'means' based benefits system which would be there for anyone who is financially disadvantaged. This could not happen in 'India' as this would threaten the grip 'Brahmins' have over society. The only way cast discrimination can be eradicated from Sikh institutions and the mindset of so called Sikhs is to bind them by law, provide religious education and give them a fair society which benefits all. Neither of these are allowed to flourish in India controlled Punjab. So in short if you want to fix the problems for Sikhs in Punjab then 'Independence' is the only way we can truly create a society which is governed by the teachings 'Sri Guru Granth Sahib Maharaj'. Bound by constitution and implemented through law.

  30. well done. I had one done some time ago and so did a good friend of mine. I needed it at the time because i was having an identity crisis that was mostly due to my non-punjjabi/non-brown surroundings >>>It 's when i became proud of my ancestry origins and realised that jatts weren a RACE of people and not really a cast>as most sikhs think. Recommend you have a good read read of these books below........ History of the Jats by by Kalika Ranjan Qanungo Ancestral Roots of the Jats: DNA Revelations...by David G Mahal also check the link http://shodhganga.inflibnet.ac.in/bitstream/10603/17669/8/08_chapter 1.pdf You should get a better understanding about the general and distinct physiques and features of jat race. Surprisingly you should learn that jat comes from the word "ajaat" that means "casteless"..
