  1. The problem is brother that: Sikhs are now less than 0.01% of the Pakistani Punjab population. Sikhs are now 3% of the Delhi population. Sikhs are now 4% of the Haryana population. Sikhs are now 1% of the Himachal population. Numerically in 2011 we Sikhs consituted 11% or so of the historic united Punjab populations. Whereas before the Pakistani Genocide of Sikhs in 1947 we constituted 13% of the old historic Punjab population. Bear in mind now that there are a greater percentage of Sikhs in English-speaking Canada than there in India. So we need to work hard on initially stabilising and then increasing Sikh numbers globally by any means necassary. Rather than continually look for ways exclude people from the Sikh Panth and then wondering why we are oppressed.

  2. @ MisterrSingh Ji Bhai Sahib, I think the homeland debate is a dangerous distraction to the demographic reality in front of us. But you're absolutely right that the powers that be fear the Truth of Sikhi and realise that Sikhi is a dangerous revolutionary Truth that will upset the apple cart of their corrupt terrorist regime. We need to work from the ground up. If we are fully committed to the Panth as ordinary Sikhs and work unitedly there can be one hundred million plus Sikhs in India within our lifetime. That would represent the biggest casteless demographic within India. Such a demographic force would be pretty unstoppable from gaining momentum once it got to that level and could arguably turn all of present day India into an enlarged more modern version of Khalsa Raj as existed between 1801-1849. As what do our opponents have but the lies of caste discrimination and oppression to support their program of corruption and terrorism, which sustains itself via divide and rule and falsely categorising 79% of Indians as Hindu. The knockout blow they are waiting to deliver to our Panth is by some in our Panth declaring that sehajdhari Punjabi speakers are not Sikhs as that would consequently leave the Khalsa Panth (as 5% or so of Sikhs) as a 2% odd minority within Punjab without any political relevance.

  3. Jagsaw Ji whilst i agree with you that a positive attitude in the face of adversity is what Chardi Kala is all about and that we should not box ourselves into a negative mentality by repeatedly proclaiming ourselves as slaves, I don't see anything positive to take from the Census results. The fall is the equivalent of the American population declining by 10million people in the 10years between 2001 to 2011. In all honesty it is hardly describable as a tiny fall (though it may appear so) and is very very significant fall indeed over a previous ten year period between to 2001 to 2011. The 3% drop in terms of the overall Punjab population actually equates to a 4% drop in the Sikh percentage (when we divide the 2011 percentage by the 2001 percentage) in Punjab. Across India the Sikh percentage as a proportion of the total population actually declined by over 10% in the ten years between 2001 to 2011. Bear in mind that it was strategically after the 2011 census that corrupt echelons of the state bureaucracy began their aggressive funding drive to proliferate Balmiki and Dera Ballan apartheid mandirs throughout Punjab given that Sikhs were already a minority in Doaba by 2001. Our opponents want to make us a minority in Punjab by as early as 2021. In contrast the Muslim percentage of the east Punjab population increased by 40% during the same ten year period between 2001 to 2011 (though statistically as a percentage of the total population it may superficially appear at first glance that their percentage has only increased by 0.4%). Now all of the old projections from 2001 onwards were that Sikhs would become a minority in east Punjab by the time of the 2031 census as a result of female infanticide, biraderi alienation, falling fertility rates, derawaad and drugs. However, the increasing danger is that Sikhs could be a minority in east Punjab by the time of 2021 census. As it will take a swing of less than 2 million people that enumerated themselves as Sikhs in 2011 to declare themselves as Dera Ballan or Balmiki worshippers in 2021 to turn Sikhs into a minority in Punjab by the 2021 census. Additionally on top of the state bureaucracy backed push for the proliferation of Balmiki and Dera Ballan apartheid mandirs in Punjab there is a parallel plan that all the Dera followers will be instructed to return themselves in the ORP category in 2021 ("other religions and persuasions") rather than as Sikhs. So in effect if a million people that enumerated themselves as Sikhs in 2011 declare themselves to be Balmiki or Dera Ballan by 2021 and if a million Radha Swami, Dera Sirsa, Noormehlia, Nirankari, Bhaniarawale and other dera followers also declare themselves in the ORP category by 2021, we Sikhs will find ourselves as a minority in east Punjab 10 years ahead of the Hindutva schedule. Furthermore bear in mind that the biggest demographic sub-component of the Punjab population is the so-called SC category with 32% of the population. The so-called Jat Sikh population is the second largest demographic sub-component with 25% of the population in east Punjab. We need to take this as a long overdue wake up call and pull out all the stops to totally eradicate separate Gurughars, obliterate self-identification on a biraderi basis and put an end to a vile and depraved matrimonial apartheid mentality that we inherited from the Hindu's and Muslims who are proud of their pathetic castes. Furthermore all Sikhs need to exit the reservation system. So-called Jat Sikhs have recently also been declared as a backward caste and part of the agenda behind this move was to divide all Sikhs at birth by caste-differentiated birth certificates indicating their respective backward caste status. Sikhs need to opt out of the same and operate a voluntary meritocracy whilst prioritising education and scholarship of the weakest sections of society for equality. We Sikhs in the Diaspora need to lead the fightback against making Sikhs a minority in east Punjab by striving to include everyone we can within the Panth, by uniting biraderi-based Sangats in the West and putting an end to depraved and self-defeating matrimonial apartheid segregation. By east Punjab becoming a casteless oasis hundreds of millions of Dalits outside of Punjab can subsequently flock to the Truth of Sikhi as a direct consequence of that. Instead of making Sikhs an ever smaller and more exclusive minority community as we have sought to do in the last 31years we need to forget about chanting slogans that will never achieve nothing but concentrate on actual concrete actions via time and money concentrated on attacking female infanticide, drugs, poverty, illiteracy, biraderi apartheid, cancer, alcohol, lack of employment opportunities for youth, etc. In the future, instead of holding fasts to death we need committed Gursikhs like Jathedar Surat Singh Ji to actively participate in the previous paragraph's objectives physically (rather than via hunger strike) as those are the fastest ways to create a united Sikh democratic voice which can credibly ensure justice for political prisoners and the victims of state sponsored Genocide. All those that wish for an end to rule from Delhi as a result of state-sponsored Genocide should realise that more will be achieved by pushing the percentage of Sikhs in east Punjab to 99% via actual actions rather than holding Diaspora referendums or rallies when the demographics on the ground in Punjab indicate that we are heading towards minority status in east Punjab unless we all do something about it right here right now. We can achieve more by backing a committed GurSikh like HS Phulka Ji as an AAP chief ministerial candidate for 2017 to sweep Badal out of power rather than holding diaspora referendums by the time that Sikhs could be a minority in Punjab. Forcing the millions of Anand Karaj's in India which have involved erstwhile non-Sikh participants to be conducted at Mandirs in the future will only strengthen our Hindutva opponents position whilst weakening our own. But the eradication of female infanticide, drugs, biraderi apartheid, illiteracy, poverty in Punjab are absolute top priorities that cannot afford to be ignored any longer than they have been done in this century by our opponents diverting our attention on to orchestrated Beadbi or sloganeering which achieves nothing practical for Panth ki Jeet.

  4. I have been a member of this forum since the very begining. I think It was something like 2001 or 2003 when it started. I was under a different username in the early days. Back then it was a very basic forum and I learnt alot over the course of that period from many knowledgable and enlightened members. Over this duration I have seen many come and go. However It is now time that left this forum also as I feel we need more members who can contribute and I have quite a few commitments elsewhere so not enough time to be on here. Admin can you termiminate my account please. Good bye and God bless you all.

  7. VJKK VJKF The best thing to do is to stop... and say Waheguru repeatedly. Anger, love, lust, happiness are all just energies in different forms - like Maharaj presents themselves in their different forms. So we can just take the energy that fuels each of these emotions (in this case) and just japping Waheguru instead. Don't think about it just do it because otherwise your mind will tell you just naa leave it and the emotions will eat us up and cloud our minds from finding Maharaj. Hope that helps Ji. Vaheguru Ji.

  8. Bhai Mohan SIngh was solely focussed on speaking about getting law enforcement help with the true figures of abuse victims as we know , no one has been keeping count of anti-sikh crimes so this is the main push by Gill, Dhesi and SIngh to get the counter set right and get crimes registered. If hindus were there it was the usual BS competitive envious behaviour and zero solutions/efforts thing

  9. StarStriker bro if you look at the link on Hrman Singh's OP the link for figures is available there. I'm not quite sure about if 80% of Haryana becoming Sikh would have been realistically achievable given that the Jatts have always been notorious opponents of Sikhs in the 1947 Pakistani Genocide of Sikhs and comprised the majority of the Delhi police in 1984 like the Jatt Sajjan Kumar but we should still try our best with parchar even now. But for definite if we all work unitedly as a Panth (putting aside our differences to focus on what unites us) we can increase Sikh numbers to over 100million in our lifetime and from that point on future generations can start to dream of sehajdhari Sikhs becoming a majority throughout India. The consequent result of a massive increase in Sikh numbers will be that as the overall numbers for the Sikh Panth increase so will the numbers and quality of the Khalsa Panth increase just like in 1699 when we saw our Panj Piare coming from as far apart as Gujarati, Orissa, Dravidian, Potohar and Hastinapur geographic origins not to mention their different biraderi origins which Sikhi eradicated.

  10. Quantavius bro we already have such an organisation in place - the SGPC. The problem is it is riddled by corruption so we have to peacefully seize back control or set-up a parallel organisation which is fully transparent and accountable for every penny of funding. My sincere conviction is that if HS Phulka Ji and the AAP can sweep Badal out of power in the Punjab elections in 2017 we can reclaim the SGPC and increase Sikh numbers massively simply on account of Sikhi being the Truth. Recognising all those that attend Gurdwara as fellow Sikhs would at a stroke push Sikh numbers in Punjab to above 90%. The more people currently defined by our opponents as non-Sikhs recognise that they are members of the Sikh Panth the greater their adherence to Gurmat will become in time. No other religion defines those that attend for example, Church services, Mosque gatherings or Mandir puja sessions as non-Christians, non-Muslims or non-Hindu's so we have to ask why it is only us Sikhs as a 1.7% minority in India who since 1950 have started insisting upon labelling certain Gurdwara Sangat as non-Sikhs and then scratching our heads as to why our numbers are declining while everybody else seeks to boost the size of their own populations. Muslim numbers have grown in Punjab by 40% during 2001-2011. Christian numbers grew 20% in Punjab during the same period. And yet we have corrupt bhekhi's that find the time for conferences supporting Charitropakhiyan stories at expensive resort hotels but cannot give a damn about the threats faced by the primarily self-inflicted silent Genocide of the Panth in the form of female infanticide, drugs, biraderi apartheid, illiteracy, cancer, poverty, alcohol etc.

  11. Haanji Hrman Paji ehda ke 2011 di figure (1.7%) nu 2001 naal divide kareyo Ji (1.9%) 2011 percentage of Indian population (1.7%) = 89.47% of 2001 percentage (1.9%) figure. Thus the percentage decline of Sikhs as a proportion of the Indian population between 2001 to 2011 exceeds 10%. Jacfsing2 you will find the vast majority of homeless people in Punjab are in fact non-Sikhs. Given that the figures are four years old the Sikh percentage can possibly be estimated at 56% currently in 2015. A drop of 1% per year in the next 6 years will leave us as minority by the 2021 census if we don't urgently prioritise dealing with the threats of female infanticide, drugs, biraderi apartheid, illiteracy, poverty, fertility, alcohol, cancer etc.

  13. Sat Sree Akal Pen Jee, I don´t think it is melancholy. It can be bireh, the pain of separation, like when a fish is brought out from the water; or either, tears of ecstasy, tears of the lover, of the sikh, of having the Darshan of Guru Jee. Just as, when a mother sees and meets her child after a long time, words do not talk much, so in a similar way, the intense feeling of spiritual love, of the lover jeev atma towards the beloved Karta Purukh. Blessed he/she, who has this type of love for Wahiguru Akal Purukh. All this is nothing, but His apaar Kirpa. He is within, and when He pulls the strings from within, the sikh, can not resist His pull, and sehaje sehaje gets attracted towards Him. Sat Sree Akal.

  14. How to deal with negativity An elephant ? took a bath in a river and was walking on the road. When it neared a bridge, it saw a pig ???? fully soaked in mud coming from the opposite direction. The elephant quietly moved to one side, allowed the dirty pig to pass and then continued its onward journey. The unclean pig later spoke to its friends in arrogance, “See how big I am; even the elephant was afraid of me and moved to one side to let me pass”. On hearing this, some elephants questioned their friend, the reason for its action. Was it out of fear? The elephant smiled and replied, “I could have easily crushed the pig under my leg, but I was clean and the pig was very dirty. By crushing it, my leg will become dirty and I wanted to avoid it. Hence, I moved aside.” This story reveals : Realized souls will avoid contact with negativity not out of fear, but out of desire to keep away from impurity though they are strong enough to destroy the impurity. You need not react to every opinion, every comment, or every situation. Kick the drama and keep going ahead Choose your battles wisely... Not everything deserves your time and attention

  15. PRACTICE, FAITH & MORE PRACTICE If you are demotivated because you are not getting good opportunities... then this story will motivate you... Once, Lord Indra got upset with Farmers, he announced there will be no rain for 12 years & you won't be able to produce crops Farmers begged for clemency from Lord Indra, who then said, Rain will be possible only if Lord Shiva plays his Damru, but he secretly requested Lord Shiva not to agree to these Farmers & when Farmers reached Lord Shiva he repeated the same thing that he will play Damru after 12 years Disappointed Farmers decided to wait till 12 years but one Farmer regularly was digging treating & putting manure in the soil & sowing the seeds even with no crop emerging Other Farmers were making fun of that Farmer. After 3 years all Farmers asked that Farmer why are you wasting your time n energy when you know that rains will not come before 12 years He replied " I know that crop won't come out but I'm doing it as a matter of "practice". After 12 years I will forget the process of growing crops n working in the field so I must keep it doing so that I'm fit to produce the crop, the moment there is rain after 12 years Hearing his argument Goddess Parvati praised his version before Lord Shiva & said You may also lose the practice of playing the Damru after 12 years The innocent Lord Shiva in his anxiety just tried to play the Damru, if he could, and hearing the sound of Damru immediately there was rain n the farmer who was regularly working in the field got his crop emerged immediately and others were disappointed. Debriefing of this story The game is won during the practice, not during the performance. If you are waiting for the good opportunity before you start practicing, then you have lost the race. "Practice is boring but that's what makes your performance interesting"

  18. The history of the Punjabi Hindu after the annexation of the Punjab was one of disloyalty to both Punjab and their mother tongue Punjabi. Under the Sikh rule the Hindus were able to practice their religion without any restrictions for the first time in a thousand years. Yet a few decades after British took over Punjab the Punjabi Hindus were joining anti-Sikh organisations like the Arya Samaj and advocating Hindi as the language of Punjab. The Punjabi Hindu leadership supported the mahants against the Akalis. They only made common cause with Sikhs in 1946-47 because they knew only the Sikhs would be able to withstand the Pakstan demand. Yet soon after partition the Punjabi Hindus were back to their usual traitorous ways and denying Punjabi language and opposed every demand that was for the benefit of Punjab. You may be right that the Congress was responsible for the massacres of 1984 but the foundations of their genocidal policies were provided by the Hindu Punjabi over the centuries.

  19. The simple fact is that Muslims were 53.3% of the population of Punjab in 1941 and the Hindus were 29.1% and the Sikhs were 14.91%. In 1947 the Muslims took 58% ( 207,400 sq km) of the Punjab as a part of their Pakistan. In 1966 the Hindus took 27.92% ( 99,885 sq km) of the area of pre-partition Punjab as their Haryana and Himachal Pradesh. This has left the present Punjab which is 14.01% of the area of the pre-partition Punjab. So in answer to your question, yes the Punjab does BELONG to the Sikhs as this is the area that they are entitled to even though it is slightly less than the Sikh share of the population of pre-partition Punjab.

  20. VJKK VJKF No Ji. I didn't know that (Maharaj kirpa that's great tho)... but taking a hukamnama is universal for any situation no matter what the world says. Everyone might be saying yes do it but Maharaj truly knows what's around the corner and so you could try and take a hukamnama if you want to. If not, it's up to you you don't have to. Vaheguru Ji.

  21. VJKK VJKF Do a hukamnama. If Maharaj says you're ready, then it doesn't matter what the world says... chak de fatteh. If not then just carry on strengthening your sikhi until Maharaj says yes. Hope that helps Ji. Vaheguru Ji.

  22. VJKK VJKF You can carry what you like (Kirpan) where you like in India to England and in India and in England. If you get arrested you can pull the Criminal Act 1988 Section 139 and 139A out where it says you can allow a knife to be carried on a person if it is a "religious artefact". They can't stop you - in the Damdami Taksal (correct me if I'm wrong) their rehat says they shouldn't have a sword less than 3ft so what would they do if they came here? We're in kaljug but it's all good for where we are right now. Hope that helps Ji. Vaheguru Ji.

  24. VJKK VJKF Dasmi patshaah (Guru Gobind Singh Ji) said "Jin Prem Kiyo Tin He Prabh Payo" meaning only he who loves can find God. There are many arths (arths) to this but yes one can be that if you don't show love to everyone around you, as god resisdes in everyone, then how can you truly love god who is also inside you? You don't have to love yourself here because people can become ahaankari from that but atleast try and see god in everyone and find love from the fact there is no difference between any of us and that we all really are from the same light and then you can recognise god within yourself and then find Maharaj, Maharaj kirpa naal. Hope that helps Ji. Vaheguru Ji.

  25. Excellent post!.....spot on! Gurbani tells us that the "bighan" (ਬਿਘਨ) always stand in the way of those who forget to chant his name. It's just that we get blinded by these bighans and can't see them. If you're not doing bhagti, then you definitely have these obstacles but you don't recognize or notice them. All the one's that are throwing the negatives at you, can't see their own bighans. They are too engrossed in the maya.. @Singh2017I'm gonna tell you for real, in simple terms....When a sevak starts on a serious path, then these very bighans, start to reveal themselves in many forms. At this stage, you just have to overcome them steadily(sehajay) and calmly. Don't let the negatives rub on and leave their imprints on you......don't absorb them or let them affect you....just try to step over them one by one,,.. ready for the next. You are using the kirpan inside your mind to win this battle and to keep slicing through. I'm not going to advise or say anything of what you should say to your mother or family. Because if you keep your strong faith and pyaar in sachay patchah, then hukam will guide and dictate every single step and interaction for you. The best thing you can do is ardas for them in the hope that they start seeing the situation through their "Real inner" eyes and not the outwardly physical eyes. It's important to keep faith, dedication and righteous discipline when treading this stage. After you pass this test of trying to battle through obstacles, then the Lord shall be pleased and will embrace you even further. Gurbani tells us ਕੋਟਿ ਬਿਘਨ ਹਿਰੇ ਖਿਨ ਮਾਹਿ ॥ Kot bigẖan hire kẖin māhi. ,Millions of obstacles are removed in an instant, Keep the faith, stay strong and don't tell anyone if they are right or wrong. Focus on finding your jyot within and hearing the shabad that comes directly from Nirankar and will be heard within yourself.

  26. Brother Singh2017, Just hug them, and lovingly tell them, I am blessed by having you as parents and family members, but also, I have a duty towards our/my Heavenly Father Wahiguru Akal Purukh. Tell them that, they/you, can be together for at most 60, 70 or 80 years at most, then what ? Then, only He is our "palanhaar". That is why you want to strentghten your relation with Him in this very janam, for you know not, how many countless lives you have been wandering in the different joonees away from Him, so now that He has blessed me with human life, let me do His bhakti as much as possible, without neglecting my duties the least at all. Tell them, that you are very much thankful to them, for He has chosen them to give you birth as a human being, as a sikh, in this very life, which is not payable anyhow, nor in any way, for now you can fulfill your bhakti fully, and merge in Him, by His apaar kirpa. Stay blessed. Sat sree Akal.

  27. The thing with Jagraj is. He was very likeable and had a eloquent way of explaining things. Which did not feel patronising or threatening to others. Theres probably many who have 100 times more knowledge of Sikhism then jagraj did but they dont have the charasmatic personality and talking ability as he did. Which is what made him so well liked amongst Sikhs and non Sikhs. Doing parchaar has alot to do with how you say something. Not what you say. Theres probaby thousands with the same carisma and gift of the gab as Jagraj. But they are probably not into Sikhism and are most probably moneh or lack the dedication and desire.

Wow! I used to say every time I saw him. I thought, this is what one needs in order to attain a humane connection with that place and the environment. But I also realized that this was something inveterate, which would only come with time, filled with love for the Guru and Gurbani…hau reh na ska bin dekhe preetma mai neer vahe vahe chale jeeo. I cannot survive without seeing my Beloved. My eyes are welling up with tears. (M4; Pg 94; SGGS)But I was also a bit puzzled. Why this melancholy? It is said, ‘’how but through a broken heart can Lord enter’’. Was it the environment, the shabad or something else? It was all-in-one I guess. Sitting with crossed legs, closed eyes, listening to the ‘dhur ki baani’ written by our Gurus – this reaction is inevitable if we really concentrate on the shabad, its meaning and environment. Also, is melancholy a reflection of the Sikhs’ perception of ‘man neevan’ which they utter daily in their prayer, ‘man neevan; mat uchee’? (humble mind and exalted wisdom). It’s such a unique combination of the ‘man’ (mind) being humble but at the same time the spirits being high.

  29. Wahe Guru Ji Ka Khalsa Wahe Guru Ji Ki Fateh Hi all, I have a question about my issue of my spiritual name and I don't have a group of Gursikhs to talk about this so posting it here in hope of a response of some kind. First I will explain a bit about my background...as there maybe some who are a bit unsure when I mention Kundalini yoga and Sikhi together... Ok so overall I've done yoga since a teenager, though two years ago I started Kundalini yoga meditation with mantras e.g. Sat Nam and my life started getting better. I stopped drinking alcohol and became vege again like I did in my teens. It was at a Kundalini yoga festival I happened to drive a Sikh man (who is now a dear friend) there and while there he suggested I go to a talk on Who is Guru Nanak by Basics of Sikhi. So I did as I was listening to and singing along to music with his name in. The talk was interesting as were the values posted around the school we were in. Anyway I didn't think much about it though a few months later I watched more Basics videos and I felt drawn to go along to Simran just before my 27th birthday at my local Gurdwara. I literally just turned up at the door and thankfully someone showed me around as everything was new to me (and I still go). So fast forward a little more...a few months go by and I sign up for my yoga teacher training then a little further into that I get a spiritual name, fully it's Ajeet Amrita Kaur, though people just call me Ajeet. It's apparently based on numerology but they don't go into specifics. It was in my training I first learnt Japji Sahib, first in English then Gurmukhi. Anyway...so this Summer I went to Khalsa camp, after a magical day of meeting another Kaur while volunteering and seeing a flyer on the wall in the Gurdwara on a day I don't usually go. I just booked it and drove all the way to Wales. Totally worth it and I experienced Amrit Vela in a wonderful way, I'm learning Jaap Sahib now gradually, it's beautiful. It was there I learnt more about the name Hukamnama and it sounded wonderful! Though I have Ajeet and I like it, it suits me. Victory over obstacles. I would even consider changing to it permanently (from Alice) and it seems strange to ask for another name. Though I have doubts that I may be looked down upon for my names background. I am also confused to how it works with Kaur legally, is it a middle name or surname? Someone I know from a Kundalini background who has taken Amrit will legally change hers when she's married, though that's not me, I'd do it as I want to. So if anyone has any response or questions please comment. Thank you for your time Ajeet ?

  30. Hi thanks for your response! No I'm from the UK (England) so it's a fairly easy process. I know I think that's the Kundalini way, seems strange now two names. Thanks I will look into that further though as that seems the best way. I seem to be getting two different views from Kundalini and Sikhi communities so still feel a bit torn. Is this something I could approach the Panj Pyare at an Amrit Sanchar, they sometimes happen near me?
