  1. Enough respect to Sikh Youth UK and even to Tommy as he might not be a Sikh, but at least he doing more than most so called 'sikhs' in the war against grooming gangs and a religion who has always wanted to finish us from the days of Guru Nanak Dev Ji. To all the jokers who are saying Sikh Youth and Tommy are the bad ones, then ask those girls whether Sikh or not how they feel after being abused by suleh? ask their families? Ask those families who have lost their daughters after they been brainwashed and legged it with suleh? Ask those apneh mundeh who been attacked by massive groups of suleh in schools, colleges, unis etc? Ask those who have had family members killed by suleh? F*ck your liberal <banned word filter activated>, this is the real world and on street level and reality suleh are and have been doing this <banned word filter activated> in the UK for at least 30 odd years, if not more. I can see problem now developing in Canada (its a fantasy apneh run Canada, they too busy fighting amongst themselves), somalian gangs in vancouver, afghans in toronto, suleh in Calgary are already grooming Sikh girls, in the USA this issue is happening now too. Its time to wake up, we has a nation are already 30 years to late, our own people slated the original Shere Punjab and yet what them mans told the world in the late 80's/early 90s is now being accepted by the world. Wake up, warn and educate yourselves, your family and friends about the dangers of the suleh we are surrounded by.

  2. This little katha touches further on the aspects of sukh and dhukh. It can sometimes be the hukam of waheguru too as is narrated to us through the example of Guru Gobind Singh Ji and the dhukh which he went through without even feeling down.

  3. Of course I am a right wing bigot. I express and make my own opinions and don't read those publications. I read the Guardian (probably one of your favourite sources) as well as whole host of other various sources from all political persuasions. I will express my opinions and provide my own critical analysis of what I think is happening. It might not be your cup of tea but it is my point of view.

  4. Maya can be good or bad. Maya is illusion which keeps the world asleep and enslaved, which is bad. But its also God as well, As God is the ultimate illusionist as well, since he also fools the world when he wishes. Not sure if its a good name for a child though. The context is vital guys, 1 word can have multiple meanings so the context determines the arth. E.G - Kaal can mean death, time etc and so on. Anyone know any Puratan Singhs or Singhnis by its name? I know certain names were avoided at the time, was this one of them?

Wow! I used to say every time I saw him. I thought, this is what one needs in order to attain a humane connection with that place and the environment. But I also realized that this was something inveterate, which would only come with time, filled with love for the Guru and Gurbani…hau reh na ska bin dekhe preetma mai neer vahe vahe chale jeeo. I cannot survive without seeing my Beloved. My eyes are welling up with tears. (M4; Pg 94; SGGS)But I was also a bit puzzled. Why this melancholy? It is said, ‘’how but through a broken heart can Lord enter’’. Was it the environment, the shabad or something else? It was all-in-one I guess. Sitting with crossed legs, closed eyes, listening to the ‘dhur ki baani’ written by our Gurus – this reaction is inevitable if we really concentrate on the shabad, its meaning and environment. Also, is melancholy a reflection of the Sikhs’ perception of ‘man neevan’ which they utter daily in their prayer, ‘man neevan; mat uchee’? (humble mind and exalted wisdom). It’s such a unique combination of the ‘man’ (mind) being humble but at the same time the spirits being high.

  9. You're not alone in wondering why people do this. As far as my observations, people who name thier daughters maya don't have a clue what maya is or the concept of maya. These people tend to be Sikh in name only. They do it purely to be modern while keeping an 'indian flavour' to thier childs name.

  11. Iv asked you to show me it from 18/19th century sources. I'm sure you can mange that, I've not made any assertations here about what Sikhi promotes, you have so back it up. You whine about wanting evidence from others so follow your own wants, I wait with eager breath of your your sources, your own hand drawn translations abd so on. How would you know what it promotes. You can't even read the source material so who told you it did? ?

  13. He was so passionate about BOS. I have seen others doing video sewa but not even a 1% closer to the passion Jagraj singh had for spreading word out of Sikhs to all. He spoke straight thru his heart. It is very disheartening that we cannot even raise and meet the fundraising goal. Selfish world we live in- Sikhnet used his videos for their popularity gain but they never bothered to raise or pitch in to support their fundraising effort. Not then only but all major institutions, organizations etc.

  14. Let me tell you one thing. I went to boarding school when I was young. I learned a lot of swearing because I was in the Sangat of students who swear in almost every other sentence. Even though I do not wanted to use bad language but it will rub on you if you stay with them. They were very nice friends. In your case, Do you need to cut them off? Probably not. I agree with sikhinthemaking but do not get habit of swearing and see if you can bring change into their habit by suggesting them to speak mitha (sweet language). No matter what you do, please keep hanging with the little girl who went thru so much that nobody can even dream of going thru that terrible terrible stage. I would suggest you to become a regular friend of her but don’t become a friend because of pity. Consider this as sewa given to you by waheguru ji.

  16. It's said in every Rehitnama around not to even touch a single hair for the purpose of removing it, its said again and again in all contemporary sikh sources. All Sikhs are meant to keep their kesh and never cut it in any form. The Rehitnamas are from the Mukhvak of Guru Gobind Singh Ji. Idol worshippers of any form in any religion are called fools. Guru Nanak Dev Ji said he wasn't a Hindu, he also called Hindus as being blind to the divine. He also criticised their rituals, their way of life and even their Devtas. No one's forcing anyone to do anything, but don't shove other religions rites into Sikhi. You can't be called a sikh if you're purposely violating every tenant of it. More nonsense. Guru Sahib told Sikhs to be always prepared for battle, Do you know the future? You're walking down an alleyway and somoene tries to mug you, what will you do? hug them to death? beg? That's why you need to be prepared for any situation. Sikh laws cant be changed, no Sikh would dare change them as they were ordained by the Gurus. No Muslim i know would change their laws, maybe read a bit more before making all these claims. The Scalp doesn't need air, pick up a science book once in a while, hair follicles there produce the hair to PROTECT the scalp from the sun, what a load of tosh to say it needs to be aired. The number of hair diseases that can occur (and most of them are really uncommon) pale in comparisons to ones without it. If you're that worried about pollution then move. Good, then follow your advice. Just don't come here and tell Sikhs that Guru Nanak Dev Ji never said Sikhs should keep hairs, or it was ok to trim them. They said the exact opposite.

  17. For starters, it seems that any Sikh orgs that do speak out against what's happening in general that may have "some" shared views with those that seem to be not of the liberal/left persuasion is seen as an abomination by left wing Sikhs. It leads to me to believe that you are clearly on the left of the political spectrum. There is nothing wrong in being on the left of the spectrum. However, the left of the spectrum these days which claim to be tolerant and inclusive except they are very selective as to whom they are tolerant towards. Now with the increase in muslim population has meant an increase in certain crimes such as organised street grooming and terrorism. Now with these happening more often, people are beginning to find patterns for this. A lot of this rooted in Islamic ideology. The fact the likes of SYUK will speak out against this you don't like. The people who support the left of the political spectrum like the Islamists for some reason and tend to walk on egg shells around them. However, people on the left of the political spectrum (like yourself I believe) won't think twice about attacking people who want to stand up to the intolerance. The contradiction I find generally with the left is that they want full rights for gays yet at the same time want full Sharia law for muslims. The irony is that the muslims will attack the gays if given half the chance. Muslims will not show tolerance and the people on the left will not speak out. If someone not of the left points this out, it is pointed out as hate speech and you are shouted down called islamophobic or racist. The left want diversity, just not diversity of opinion. In the Communist countries, freedom of speech is not allowed. The left claims to be liberal but act in the same manner of Communist countries. Communism has it's origins in Marxism and I suspect the left are Marxists in disguise. They might not be in power politically but there is cultural subversion going on. It seems that you are clearly influenced by this type of thought. That is why I suggested that you may be a Cultural Marxist. I provided a link from the Telegraph to show what is happening in universities that has been overwhelmed by leftist though is now doing no platform which means freedom of speech is being curtailed. This is cultural marxism taking over. However, if it is Islamic hate speech it is accepted. Your stance against SYUK seems to suggest that you are accepting of Islamist hate speech but not of people who would fight against it like Tommy Robinson. I think the problem Sikhs on left of the political spectrum is that they think Sikhi somehow is the same as this leftist thought. It is not. They are influenced by the left (which is influenced by Marxism ) more so than Sikhi. That is why I called you a Cultural Marxist. If you feel that is not articulated enough for you I can go on and on and on. The problem with your thought process is that it may eventually lead into a totaliterian system. Totalitarianism is the antisesis of Sikhi.

  20. The media and the liberal elites hate Tommy because he states his views about the way the elites have allowed people into this country without any vetting. The elites do not face the sharia patrols or the child grooming as they live far away from the problem areas and it is the common people like Tommy who's families face these. If you watch his videos he has educated himself on how dangerous Islamic extremism is for this county and he now had enough knowledge to understand when he is being lied to by Muslims. You can't really fault his views because these views are formed by both his experience. As Sikhs we should admire him as he is out there putting his life in danger and his faced with hostility not just from extremist Muslims but the whole Muslim community as well as the left wing media and the political establishment. The same people who are against Tommy are the same people who are against Sikhs and would not lose an opportunity to show us in a bad light while walking on eggshells when dealing with Muslims. Look at the one man band called Sikhs against the EDL. They have never even dealt the child grooming issue and try and post a contrary view to theirs and they will ban you from their facebook profile. They are the real fascists. The reason why people like Tommy exist is not because there is a inherent racism among the white British but because of the fact that some Muslims have engaged in not just terrorism but also child grooming across the UK. Had there been no Muslims engaging in terrorism in the UK and there were no child grooming going on then people like Tommy would not exist.

  21. A story about the nature of the material world One night, just before the shopkeeper was about to close the shop, a dog came into the shop. There was a bag in its mouth. The bag had a list of items to be bought and money. The shopkeeper took the money and kept the items in the bag. Immediately, The dog picked up the bag of items and left. The shopkeeper was surprised and went behind the dog to see who the owner was. The dog waited at the bus stop. After sometime, a bus came and the dog got into the bus. As soon as the conductor came, it moved forward to show his neck belt which had money and the address as well. The conductor took the money and put the ticket in his neck belt again. When it reached the destination, the dog went to the front and wagged his tail indicating that he wanted to get down. The moment the bus stopped, it got down. The shopkeeper was still following it. The dog knocked on the door of a house with its legs. Its owner came from inside and beat it with a stick. The shocked shopkeeper asked him "why are you beating the dog?", to which the owner replied, "he disturbed my sleep. It could have taken the keys with it." This is the truth of life. There is no end to the expectations people have from you. The moment you go wrong, they start pointing at our mistakes. All the good done in the past is forgotten. Any small mistake committed then gets magnified. This is the nature of this material world.!!!
