  1. Any Amritdhari who believes in caste is not following what an Amritdhari should be. Sikhi has no place for caste. Those that follow caste are Punjabi and cling onto caste because that's what they have grown up in and see others as inferior to themselves. Those that go on about caste, do some research on it and Sikhi. And give it a rest, because the same old bla bla bla about caste being something special is getting boring, because it's not. So yeah, give it a rest and don't preach it as Sikhi.

  2. Great news paji jaspindjy and other non-sikh trolls seem to have recently come on here infiltrating this forum to abuse other members, promote their castism and other anti-sikh ideologies to generally cause mayhem diverting topics to get them closed down. Its a tactic that must be nipped in the bud by having these new lost post count users spotted early and warned before being banned. Can we have more mods on here? And them more known to the forum so that we know who to go to if we have more non-sikh trolls come on.

  3. No MarsONE is independent from Elon Musk, although they are planning to use his SpaceX space shuttles to get to Mars. I don't think they'll reach the 2020 goal tbh, so I'm assuming the 2030 Mars NASA mission might be the first human expedition to Mars, and having a Sikh female onboard makes me even more excited for the prospect of having a Sikh be one of the first individuals to land on Mars.

  6. Absolutely correct its that evil pride in castist tribalism that leads to discrimination against Sikhs of other races, ethnicities, nationalities or "castes". We need to shame the "jatt Sikhs" and others who say they are a caste rather than saying there a Sikh full stop shame them laugh at them mock them. And also inter-marry within Sikhi of different castes then this evil will be behind us. My distant relatives are hindu punjabi's and their menfolk are very strict about maintaining their caste lineage. Their daughters ran off with people not of their caste and different races. In the end the caste system in the modern world is unsustainable so it will end but Sikhs need to give it an extra push to kill it off.

  8. This should really be the wakeup call for a renewal in our panth. We can no longer afford to continue with the status quo. Malwa dalits have been taken by the jhoothha sauda. Majha has been ravaged by the christians ( where they form a good 10% in gurdaspur district) and the beas dera. Doaba dalits have been effevtively broken off from sikhi by the ravidasias. We should be in action mode and snap out of our caste prejudices.

  9. What bigger issues are there in the qaum than caste Singhji? Deras? - They exist almost entirely because of 'upper caste' prejudice against Mazbhis which cuts them off from the Guru Ghars, from the Guru, and therefore from Sikhi. Hindutva? - The easiest way for us to slip back into the Hindu fold like the RSS and BJP want is by embracing caste. Caste is the foundation stone of Hindu civilization. Drugs? - What kind of gaaneh do you think the wannabe gangsters selling, consuming and glorifying drugs in the Punjab listen to? Bhangra songs, which are an outgrowth of Jatt culture, hence the endless references to Jatt Jatt Jatt and how strong and brave they supposedly are. Demographics? - the reason the Sikh qaum is so powerless is because it lacks the numbers to have any real political clout, if Jatt supremacists had not obstructed the entry of Dr Ambedkar into Sikhi then Sikhs would be much more powerful today. Virtually every problem faced by our people today can be linked to caste. There is no bigger issue. It is the stone tied around the neck of Sikhism which prevents us from achieving our true potential as a people. In any case, the problem isn't people remembering where they came from, the problem is what people are doing with those remembrances.I am indeed talking about ending prejudice, not being blind to history. It would be ok if someone acknowledged that they were descended from farmers and left it at that, but in 90% of cases that isn't what happens. The farmer's descendant is convinced that his arbitrary descent from a farmer makes him superior to his neighbour, who was descended from a carpenter. And the carpenter has his own ideas. I mention sexism because in the context of Punjabi society, caste and sexism are tied. The reason sons are generally preferred over daughters after all is because they serve to perpetuate the family name, which is basically the caste/got name. If this obsession with caste legacy disappeared, then most grounds for viewing female offspring as inferior to males would also, I believe, disappear. Maybe then the shocking gender imbalance in Punjab due to female infanticide would be remedied.

  11. Where have I done that? I said my Caste was that of "Sikh of Guru Nanak Dev Ji" and that of my Divine Father who is Casteless. Thus I have no caste. I have nothing to be insecure about. I'm not the one babbling on about being proud of a caste, that's all you. So you think your Family's avasta is on the level of Bhai Nand Lal Ji or Bhai Gurdas Ji? Honestly I'm making this as simple as I can. I honestly don't know how much more simpler I need to make it. You were the one babbling on about them, not me. I don't have an inferiority complex, nor do I need tribalism to define who I am. You're avoiding my questions so I'll ask you again. So if Maharaj gives out Castes then do tell me what Caste the name Smith belongs to, What about the surname Snow? the surname Mutombo? If Divine Ordinance is involved then please do tell me the "castes" of these names. So I'm asking you 1 direct question, are all the Mahapurkhs I mentioned above liars then? They reject your stupid ideology.

I remember years ago they said by 2005 there would be a colony on mars but they never achieved it I think this time around there is better technology and more serious commitment and investment to make sure that goal is achieved.

  14. Sri Guru granth sahib Ji is waheguru? Are you feeling ok? Where did you get this new revealation? Guru gobind Singh ji never said this... nor did any of the Guru's they didnt say adi granth is Waheguru we must worship the saroop. Guru gobind singh ji forbade people to call him God and said those who did would be cursed. So when he transfered the Guruship to SGGS Ji he transfered only the Guruship not the God status you seem to have mistakenly believed in. So all these years you been worshipping literally worshipping SGGS Ji as an idol as God? like hindus do with their idols like the dehra premis worship their cult leaders as God. Oh dear no wonder your so lost.... people like you need alot of help understanding Sikhi if your that lost

  15. IF an amritdhari shot someone would you go out an do it? grow a brain you numbskull. Follow Gurbani not what humans do. Your family itself is a disgrace to Guru Gobind Singh Ji. Did you zone out when the Punj Pyare said "kul nash" and "Jat nash" Bhai Gurdas Ji said all the castes were merged into one. Is he a liar then? You and your family are a prime example of what is wrong with Sikhi, fake ones like you screaming about being proud of being Jatts. This is from the Rehit Maryada. Did you and your utterly contemptible family zone out when taking amrit then? Good, then go and do a DNA break down. Find me the genome code that says "jatt" on it, if its not there then its manmat you're screaming about. Maharaj made you, so go on. Show me where he labelled in your code that you're a jatt. All you've done is say that something Guru Nanak Dev Ji called false in Gurbani is a worth noting. You've called Bhai Gurdas Ji a liar and spat at the face of Bhai Daya Singh Ji's rehitnama. What then? he said not to ask about caste, do you think that doesn't apply for idiots who proclaim their caste out? The very mention of it was forbidden yet we have this nonsense going on. You have no idea where the Caste system comes from yet you blindly follow it like a buffoon. My caste is that of a Sikh of Guru Nanak. Hindus made the caste system, so cling it to and continue with rebirth. I'm sure it'll help you out so well.

  16. You're right, it does work like that, but unfortunately the case with us Sikhs is (even more so than other Indians) that once members of our quam become successful, they are the ones often damaging the Sikh panth the most and turn their backs onto it, and also most of the successful Sikhs never help or even wish success on the Sikhs that are struggling to make it for themselves (so a network of support is never allowed to be created). In contrast to us, no matter how rich a Jewish person gets, they will always strive to to work for the Jewish cause (even if they aren't religious themselves) and create a network for helping other Jewish people, especially the Jewish youth succeed (around my area, a Jewish magnate opened up a top-notch Jewish high school that hands out scholarships for uni and approx. 10% of the graduating class tends to go to the Ivy Leagues for education). If we can emulate this kind of loyalty to not only our faith, but our people (fellow Sikhs) as well, then I'm sure the above mentioned theory will yield results in reality as well.

  17. Very good post bro, biggest lesson for me is seeing that it always seems to be our own that bring us down and the Sangaarsh is prime example of this. Everything you have stated seems correct, however the problem we have got as a Kaum is that everyone is to focused on sorting themselves out for their own personal good as opposed to the benefit of the Kaum.

  18. Often Shiv sena in punjab are dismissed as rats as clowns as fools who run away from brave Sikh warriors. However what our Sikh youths dont know is that the people who belonged to those organisations at the time had their role in the genocide and mass murder of Sikhs in 1980s/90s how they were part of the same false flag Indian state terrorist machinery that operated black cats, alam sena, virk sena, etc Below a short extract from " Truth About Punjab, SGPC White Paper, Gurdarshan Singh Dhillon " --------------------------- Siege of the Sikhs : State Terrorism in Punjab Logic of KPS Gill was that the police were dealing with people who did not believe in any laws and so unless the police too was lawless it could not really fight them,"^ Gill justified the policy of creating under cover squads. He said, "The security forces in Punjab can do nothing without special spotter's parties and there is no question of doing away with them."^ He was reported to have prepared his 'elimination lists', with instructions from the I.B. When a team of the Punjab Human Rights Organisation (PHRO) who had a long interview with Sumedh Singh Saini, Senior Suprintendent of Police, Bhatinda, asked him to comment on the armed vigilante groups created in many districts of Punjab, he too is reported to have said, "What was wrong if they were organised to assist the state to neutralize terrorists?'" Besides vigilante squads, there were other squads also who were responsible for deadly intrigues and murders. In a revealing letter written to the Lok Sabha Speaker Rabi Ray, Simranjit Singh Mann, while submitting his resignation from Indian Parliament, drew attention to the other hit squads called the "Black Cats"and "Indian Lions", who were operating in the State in a clandestine manner and were responsible for murdering and pillaging." Mann complained that three members of the executive of his party, including Jagdev Singh Khudian MJ*. were done to death by the "Indian Lions" outfit.^ Mann regretted that even though the Justice Harbans Singh Rai Commssion appointed by the government had indicted the Punjab DGP, K.P.S. Gill, in connection with the Khudian murder, yet no action was taken against him.' '^ ' "The state is actively involved in killing and murdering Sikh leaders and I have been threatened by the "Indian Lions" which has several other names - 'Vaidya Commando Force" (VCF) and "Lala Jagat Narain Tiger Force".' said Mann. The Tribune reported the formation of a secret militant organisation called the "Indian National Army" which recruited commandos to fight terrorists m Punjab. The report said, "Mr. Dayal Singh Chief General of the army said to-day that commandos were drawn from the Army, the BSF, the CRPF and the Punjab Police. He also introduced a commando to newsmen, who, he claimed belonged to the BSF."' All India Hindu Shiv Sena also trained its own commandos to carry out clandestine activities. 'Current' weekly in its issue dated August 5-11, 1987, brought to light a story which described a camp "somewhere in Amritsar district", where the AH India Hindu Shiv Sena was training about 1,000 of its young followers in the use of arms and commando tactics. The boys let their hair and beards grow and assumed the appearance of Sikh youth. The Sena president Surender Kumar BUla managed the camp and told the reporter that the idea was that these young men would act as agent provocateurs, attack the Sikhs and thereby create an aversion among Sikhs for the militants. A group photograph of Surender Billa and his fake Sikhs was also shown in the Weekly. There were reports of nine similar camps located all over Punjab. It is obvious that these camps could not have operated without the patronage of those in high places. These commandos indulged in looting and extortion's. According to a Tribune report (August 13, 1991), "instances of miscreants, some belonging to the Hindu Suraksha Samiti, having written letters in the name of the Dashmesh Regiment demanding ransom from members of the minority community have come to light in Bhatinda district recently. In police records Surender Kumar BiUa was shown as a man' wanted by the police but actually the government made no effort to nab him. He and his cohorts were allowed to go ahead with their mischievous plans. 'Frontline' reported (14-27 May, 1988) that 'in Punjab it is an accepted view that at least some of the death squads have been unleashed by the government.' This was a comment on a story reported by a freelance journalist that RAW was using imported AK 47s and RPG - 7 anti - tank rocket-propelled grenades in the Punjab in order to justify the 59th amendment to the Constitution, by which government can impose an emergency on the state and suspend the right to life.' Economic and Political Weekly' in a news report of April, 16, 1988, had asked 'Are the killings in Punjab the handiwork of the extremists ?' The report observed that 'strategic' killings by officially planned agent provocateurs may help the government to precipitate further authoritarian control by assuming more military powers.' The intention was to create an atmosphere of anarchy and violence so that, out of frustration, the people absolve the state for its direct use of violence and other means of repression. Such activities added an ominously new dimension to the tragic scenario and led to an atmosphere of terror and insecurity. Chandan Mitra observed, "The police under-cover operations have added to the confiscation over genuine and fake militancy."^ The Washington Post reported that the Indian security forces conducted a highly realistic mock hijacking of an airliner that fooled many people into thinking that it was a genuine terrorist action by Sikh militants. The purported hijackers issued a number of demands in the name of a Sikh extremist group. The exercise ended peacefully at an airport in West Central India but not without spreading alarm throughout the country.^ Such obnoxious tactics were used to blame and defame the Sikh community, to stoke up communal fires and to bring about reprisals in order to divot attention fix)m the real issue

  22. I think the greatest lessons to be learnt from the Khalistan movement are that we are firstly an extremely divided community, secondly an incompetent one, and finally that the movement is worthless in the present-day. Expanding on my first point, Sikhs don't know who they are! Sikhs face the biggest identity crisis in the subcontinent, even more so than Indian/Pakistani converted Muslims. How so? Well although Indian/Pakistani Muslims may claim they are descended from Arabs/Persians/Afghans, they are firm and sure on one thing, and that is that they're Muslim. Sikhs don't know what they are. Heck, my own extended family doesn't know what we are. They wear turbans, but celebrate Karva Chauth. They acknowledge the teachings of Guru Nanak, but accept that they are a branch of Hinduism. Until Sikhs don't align themselves with each other, no Sikh sovereignty related movement will flourish or go through. KPS Gill, Kuldip S Brar are examples of the confused Sikhs. My second point is one of extreme relevance. I think post 1947, Sikhs have become extremely incompetent. This is quite evident in the Khalistan movement. The martyrs were extremely motivated individuals, but lacked any communal support. There were no wealthy and powerful Sikhs to fund them, or any famous Sikh media personalities to rationalize and voice the Khalistani cause. This could be partly due to that fact that Sikhs are divided amongst each other, but I think its more likely that we didn't have any notable members in our community at that time, apart a from the odd one out, and still don't. We have no Sikh in academia, the arts and sciences, business, medicine. My last point follows my second point, the Khalistani seperatist movement, considering the current incompetent state our community is in, is worthless and should not be followed, promoted, or continued on with for the meantime. The problem with us, or perhaps its a quality of ours, is that we have always fought against the system, be it the Mughals, British and now the Indian gov't. Our community needs a breather. We need to rejuvenate, and come back stronger. I see so many of our youth waste their energy on the Khalistan movement, that I wonder had they done so much for their own personal development, perhaps they could have progressed further. We as a community are in desperate need of redirection, and I think that the direction has already been laid down for us, and that is the Jewish people. If you look at the Jewish diaspora, although it is half of our population, they command exceptionally far more power than our community, far more than the stalwart Christians, Hindus, and Muslims. They are in positions, and in roles in the US that not have only secured the socioeconomic status of American Jews, but has allowed them to make their voice heard. We need to emulate the accomplishments of the Jewish people, in fact apart from religious doctrine, we are not too different from them, we have been similarly persecuted as they are, and we've survived and that's what makes me hopeful that we can ultimately secure victory. We need to bring our arms down, and reconnect with Sikhi. Very few people are following the Sikhi enclosed within the Adi Granth. I saw Jugraj Singh as someone who was helping people to reconnect to Sikhi and its spiritual side, its unfortunate he left us so early. Getting back to my point though, is that we need more educated Sikhs, more Sikhs in power, not only in India (which I doubt ever happens, expect for puppets like Manmohan), but around the world that will allow our voices to be heard on the global stage. I see many Punjabi Sikh students immigrating to Canada, but most of them enroll into community colleges that give out degress that hold no merit. I honestly think Sikhs need to aggressively expand out of India, and settle in Western society where they can flourish akin to the Jews, however coming to community colleges won't help. I rarely see these students attend a top Canadian/American uni, very rare if none at all. Even Canadian/American born Hindus are far more educated than their Sikh counterparts, and this is worrisome for our community. We need Sikhs to branch out and attain power, and unfortunately I'm not wise enough to know how this will happen, but I do know this needs to happen. Sikh entrepreneurs, professors, inventors, celebrities, artists, physicians, lawyers, engineers will allow for more global exposure. Also, we need to be flexible. I often see us condemn 3HO Sikhs, or Nanakpanthis, however we shouldn't be doing that. We need to greet them with respect and love in order for their ways to be "corrected", and not just simply write them off. We also need to have more children, and I know many Sikhs are against this, but c'mon people, our numbers are dwindling. And for those that say the world population is already too much, well adopt children and raise them as Sikh. We need to increase our numbers by having more children, marrying out and bringing spouses into the Sikh fold through reason, and raising adopted Sikh children. Numbers go a long way in helping a movement be established. I hope I have not offended anyone with my perspective on this.

  23. The real true and ugly evil face of shiv sena and other hindu nationalists online is coming out under the BJP Modi government ...for years they laid dormant until now. Anti-sikh hindu extremists from various hindu outfits have been feeding their followers lies against Sikhs since 1950s ever since punjabi suba movement started for autonomy for Sikh northern areas as was promised by congress. And they fed their very low intelligence hindu population more lies about Sikhs killing hindus when it was hindu brahmins dressed up as Sikhs aided and facilitated by the RAW who went around killing both sikhs and politicians and low caste hindu laborers. These hindu extremists told lies that Sant bhindranwale was raping women in darbar sahib when in actual fact he gave his congregation orders not to spare anyone who tries to rape women and he even helped rescued many hindu women from gangsters. Nowadays they tell lies these days that sant bhindranwale had ordered the killing of 30,000 hindus and now its 40,000? next year they will say 50,000. When in reality police and official records show most of those killed before operation blue star was Sikhs and only a few dozen hindus mostly from clashes with police or with Sikhs during protests and riots. Over 1000 Sikhs murdered during operation blue star using tanks and heavy weaponary the type to use against a national enemy, akal takht destroyed countless historical artifacts looted and destroyed. Then came the delhi riots over 5,000 murdered in horrific way stabbing, raping and burning alive in just 3 days of state violence. More than 1,000 Sikhs murdered per day.... The fact is 50,000 Sikh youths from punjab were disappeared basically murdered by the indian state during 90s so called period of militancy. India to this day did not allow amnesty international to investigate nor did it own up to its own past in its killings of all those innocent Sikhs.and these evil rats from congress party and hindu outfits do not regret their crimes. They think the murders and loss of innocent sikh life is justified because they been fed lies by a very powerful propaganda machine

  25. So what you're saying is that Bhai Gurdas Ji is a liar and so are all the other mahapurkhs I quotes. Gotcha. All you've said is you're so proud of your family and Caste that it trumps Gurbani. Gotcha. I do love my family, just unlike you im not overly attached to them. Why on earth would I be jealous of anyone? My life is going great thus far. I'm about to graduate from University, I have a loving family, my grades are impeccable and I support my family on the side. I'm content with that I have. My family are prefect, I love them but I'll discard them if they prevent me from serving my Guru. What exactly does your caste have that I would want? Bhangra? dancing woman? an ego the size of Jupiter? I'm fine being the Caste of Gurmukh. I'm casteless, as are you if you claim to be Amritdhari. You're calling the Punj pyare liars as well. Who else will you call liars? I've presented my case. Quite frannkly your family and you are just worthless if you can't even sit still and listen to a single Amrit Sanchar without it going in 1 ear and out the other. Maya is within God's Hukam, yet I reject it. Don't use the whole "its within Guru's Hukam" line, I can apply that to anyone or anything heretic. So I'm asking you 1 direct question, are all the Mahapurkhs I mentioned above liars then? They reject your stupid ideology. Just answer that one question. Is your family on the same level as them? The highlight is exactly what I was saying, Caste is a foolishly created social construct by Hindus. The ones who clinge to it furiously like you are the idiots that are ruining Sikhi, RSS don't need to do anything. I'll break this down for you since you seem to be rather dim. Sikhs have no castes, their caste is Naam and that of Guru Sahib. Who himself is casteless. My caste therefore is "Sikh of Guru Nanak Dev Ji" Biologically speaking from a DNA perspective only you can see someone's exact make up. Racial make up, facial features, hair colour and so on. Social aspects such as names have no influence as they are always changing, infact during Amrit Sanchars names are changed. People's names change all the time, Bhai Nihal Singh Ji was referred to as Bhai Maharaj Singh Ji purely because he was so pious he referred to everyone as Maharaj. So called Caste falls into the category of Social aspects of modern day Punjab. That entire facade was smashed by Guru Nanak Dev Ji, Like a name it's so easy to change that, infact back when the true Caste system was started by a Rishi it was exactly that. One that constantly changed. Caste is enriched with Maya, So clinging to it (like Guru Nanak Dev Ji said) is useless. So if Maharaj gives out Castes then do tell me what Caste the name Smith belongs to, What about the surname Snow? the surname Mutombo? If Divine Ordinance is involved then please do tell me the "castes" of these names.

  32. Apart from the politics of money and patronage of bolly celebs and politicians of ram rahim. We must ask ourselves what kinda parchar he was giving that drew large crowds? No doubt he is a outlandish charismatic clownish figure and an entertaining one at that to the poorer Indians. The public there these days love that, he was successfully able to tap into that market and gain a large following through Tv show appearances, movies and "rock concerts". If we look at our parchariks of today what message of hope do they give? Are they charasmatic? Are they entertaining? The audience of today is not the same even a decade ago. Peoples attention span is decreasing with the increasing use of smart phones and social media people want new things and entertaining things to watch. They do not have the capacity and patience to listen to some random boring baba/sant giving lectures of the past that they could easily watch on youtube or doesnt make them feel good. There needs to be a wholesale analysis of what has gone on for so many problems to be occurring. And it starts as always at the top ... the SGPC...... if Sikhs dont reform or remove this entity we will see Sikhi confined as a minority faith within punjab itself or even dying out and christian or muslim or new age dehra missionaries will tear Indian punjab apart in coming few years by their own personal conflict's with each other.

  34. What castes? they don't exist in Sikhism. Once someone takes Amrit they have no caste, nor do any Sikhs have any castes. The people who drag castes into Sikhi are no sikhs. You have your answer there then. Guru Sahib abolished the Caste System, stop trying to bring it back in any shape or form. Sikhs have no castes, end of story. The Lord gave the surnames Kaur and Singh especially to destroy the idiots who have pride in their castes. Like I said Bhai Gurdas Ji made it clear that Guru Nanak Dev Ji merged them all into one, there aren't any castes in Sikhism, if you want castes then turn to Hinduism. Anyone seeing castes or showing pride in it in spitting in the face of Guru Sahib's own creed. If you believe in the Amrit Sanchar then castes don't exist. This same nonsensical argument that you're trying can be applied to any tenant of Sikhism to justify heresy. If Bhai Gurdas Ji wrote that Guru Sahib abolished it then who are we to question him. Guru Nanak Dev Ji called it useless (bland), why cling to it when its useless. You may as well cling to a spoon in a war zone rather than a gun.

  35. That's not what Guru Sahib did and that's not what we should do. Asking someone their caste is akin of saying Amrit is nothing more than water. Bhai Gurdas Ji made it clear in his varan that Guru Nanak Dev Ji merged all the castes into 1 caste. So no. Showing pride in your caste is nothing more than haumai.

  40. Brother monatosingh, people will always keep talking sometimes with sense and many more times nonsense, let them do what they want or can do, nobody can ever change anybody, everyone is born with their own sanskaras and destiny karam. So according to that, they will have their own nature, character, health, mental issues, wealth, friends, foes.....etc Not only all this, but even the day of coming and going from this world, is already fixed. So you see, keeping all this in mind, better not to look what others do or not do, that is their own problem, or better said, let us not judge others, they have their own weight to lift on their backs. But that does not mean, we should not be polite or helpful at our best towards others. We should always do good to others, and have good thoughts for others, because in them also, lights up the Jot of Wahiguru. It is we who have to look at ourselves, as per how much we have understood Gurmat/Bani/Sikhee, because in the end, we have to go alone, no family members, no friends, no enemies, no relatives will come with us. It is we alone with our load of karam and bhakti, who shall continue our journey of life, and there, what others said or thought has no value. If anything has value, it is as said above, your good karam, nishkam sewa, and the kamaee of Prabh ka Simran, which the Bani emphasizes at all times. So brother, let us see what does Amritwela mean. Amritwela simply means, the time we intake Amrit, the Amrit of Prabh ka Nao, during its meditation, dhyan or call it simran even. It is in the early hours, when His devotees engage in Bhakti at the most, let us say between 3 AM and 6 AM, although no time is bad for His Bhakti. This time of early hours has its own advantages in fulfilling that purpose : No phone calls, no traffic noise, no guests, no work to distract, no cooking.... so you see there is maximum silence in the atmosphere, which is needed for good concentration, that´s it, otherwise, any time is good which we can engage in His Bhakti, for the real Amrit is within us, which we taste when we get absorbed in His Simran-dhyan, thus become pure, paviter, and finally ajoonee, by merging in Him. So brother, let people talk and do what they want, and let us look at ourselves, as per how much we have moulded our lives according to the teachings of our beloved Guru Sahiban, through the Bani., so that we can achieve the goal of our human lives, which is none other to go back to Him, and merge in Him God bless you. Sat Sree Akal.

  41. We Sikhs are #1 enemies of Sikhi today. We do more to harm our own faith than any Hindu or Musalman.

  44. An old Arab lived close to New York City for more than 40 years. He would have loved to plant potatoes in his garden, but he is alone, old and weak. His son is in college in Paris, so the old man sends him an e-mail. He explains the problem: "Beloved son, I am very sad, because I can't plant potatoes in my garden. I am sure, if only you were here, you would help and dig up the garden for me. I love you, Your Father." The following day, the old man receives a response e-mail from his son: "Beloved Father, please don't touch the garden. It's there that I have hidden 'the THING'. I love you, too, Ahmed" At 4pm the US Army, The Marines, the FBI, the CIA and the Rangers visit the house of the old man, take the whole garden apart, search every inch, but can't find anything. Disappointed they leave the house. A day later, the old man receives another e-mail from his son. "Beloved Father, I hope the garden is dug up by now and you can plant your potatoes. That's all I could do for you from here. I love you, Ahmed."

  46. I believe wherever you find peace of mind, you should go for that path. It's your soul's call. Don't think what people will say about me, what my family will say, etc. Remember each day our life is passing, hardly 50 Percent more is left, start living good life from today and let the negativity go away. Right now i feel that you are going through stage of 'Duality'. Whenever such situation arises, remember you have to die one day and how much life is left, automatically you will listen to your soul. Pehla maran kabool First accept death and accept the fact each day its going in vain in worldly affairs, none of this is going along with you. Why you wait O Brother, start today ??

  48. Hello again, thank you all for the replies. I am aware there is a language barrier and more importantly a pronunciation barrier - I looked into possibly learning Punjabi last night and their are sounds in there that are very difficult for me to make naturally - much like how Indians have a different way of pronouncing many words in English. From all of your responses and the research I have done myself, I will be studying Sikhi for some time. I have created an account on this forum now so I will be back to post about my experiences and if I have any questions or experiences to relate. Again, thank you all very much for taking the time to respond, I am very grateful. It has been very helpful and I wish you all a very happy and fulfilling future. I have only ever met honest, helpful and happy Sikhs and this anonymous online forum has shown the exact same! You are incredible people given all the persecution you have faced previously and even today! I will study and I will visit the Gurudwara following the Sikh custom. I feel a lot less nervous about going and I desperately want to volunteer some of my spare time to a charitable organisation and I don't trust large charities due to their similarities to big corporations. Perhaps the Gurudara is somewhere I can do a little good. Thank you all so much and I hope the following isn't wrong/offensive. Shukria, sat sree akaal.
