  1. Yes of course more Sikhs are needed to serve humanity for Sarbat da Bhala. Anyone who has been to Gurdwara is already Sikh so no power on Earth can stop you from being a Sikh (sehajdhari or Amritdhari is your own personal journey as your knowledge of Sikhi and interaction with Sangat grows). All the best young Singh - proud of you!

  2. A) Yes, sikhee should be most welcome. It is a blessing of the Almighty, it is an unique opportunity in the human form, to become one with Him, through love, devotion, and His infinite Grace. While in other religons, you have a hierarchy and a multiplicity of gods, goddesses, devtas, etc, which just confuses a person, and derails one from the straightforward highway to the Supreme Lord Wahiguru Akal Purukh, thus keeps the jeevas entangled in the mayavee creation. And unlike other religions, which promise so many things after our departure from this plane of consciousness, in Sikhee, if one is sincere and faithful to Gurmat, one can realize that One supreme being in this very life. I am saying all this not just as a sikh, of which I am proud of being one, but as an human being also. Just see the greatness and the beauty of that One Supreme Lord, in the Mool Mantra, the base of Sikhee. Ik oankar, Sat Naam, Karataa purakh, Nirbhav, nirvair Akaal moorat, Ajoonee, saibhang, Gur prasaad Jap Aad such, jugaad such, Hai bhee such, Naanak hosee bhee such. He is the only One Creator. Truth, is His name. He is the doer of everything. He is fearless, he fears none He is Revengeless, He never dies, neither is He ever born, He is Self existent, His existence does not depend on any other being He is to be realized by the Guru's gift of grace, Meditate on Him. He was True in the beginning. He has been True through all the ages. He is True even now. Oh Nanak He is forever True. Can you see how gracefully, and in simple language, He who is indescribable by any mind, for He is beyond it and the senses, neither can He can be perceived by any tools or devices, yet He has been described in simple words for us humans, by Dhan Dhan Satguru Nanak Dev Maharaj. Once one sees the beauty by understanding what Guru Sahiban wants to convey us in these verses, and the magnificence of that Supreme Being, one just remains speechless, there is nothing more to be added.... B) Age is relatively important,as one does not know when shall one depart from this creation, so it is best to start our own research on this path of love, satisfy the mind and fully devote and engage oneself to His Lotus feet. God bless you. WAH E GURU

  3. Remove extra lemon from water... I still remember the day I was preparing fresh lime water for the first time...I ended up adding almost five times the amount of lemon than needed. It was a disaster.I had to correct it anyhow. How I wish I could remove some lemon juice from water to make it taste perfect again! But alas! Some things can never be undone. Some things can never be changed. There was no way that I know of, to remove the extra lime. So what was the solution then? The only way to correct this was to add four more glasses of water and dilute the lemon juice to make five glasses of fresh lime water. This made me think.. Sometimes we cannot undo some things that have gone wrong in life. Some wrong decisions, wrong choices, wrong investments, wrong actions, wrong associations, wrong words or wrong doings can never be undone. So what is the solution then? When you cannot correct what is wrong, do not waste more time over it. It is like attempting to remove lemon from water. Instead, get busy in adding so many right things in your life that the wrong seems insignificant. We all have a negative side to ourselves. We may not be able to remove or correct all our negativities. But we can definitely continue adding positive thoughts, positive reading and positive people in our lives and dilute the negativity. We all have to deal with some easy people and some difficult people in our lives. Do not waste time trying to change the difficult people. You will drain all your emotional energy in vain. Instead spend more time with the pleasant, positive and happy people and the difficult people will not affect you any more. Everything in your life will never be perfect. Do not waste too much time correcting what is wrong. Get busy doing the right things .......

  4. 9 short stories worth reading, feeling and forwarding to all Sangat, and mankind in general * One of the best posts, ever gone through.....thanks to all those who decided to share these real life experiences below 1. FALL and RISE Today, when I slipped on the wet tile floor a boy in a wheelchair caught me before I slammed my head on the ground. He said, “Believe it or not, that’s almost exactly how I injured my back 3 years ago . 2. A FATHER'S ADVICE Today, my father told me, “Just go for it and give it a try! You don’t have to be a professional to build a successful product. Amateurs started Google and Apple. Professionals built the Titanic 3. The POWER of UNIQUENESS . Today, I asked my mentor – a very successful business man in his 70’s – what his top 3 tips are for success. He smiled and said, “Read something no one else is reading, think something no one else is thinking, and do something no one else is doing. 4. LOOKING BACK Today, I interviewed my grandmother for part of a research paper I’m working on for my Psychology class. When I asked her to define success in her own words, she said, “Success is when you look back at your life and the memories make you smile. 5. TRY and YOU shall KNOW I am blind by birth. When I was 8 years old, I wanted to play baseball. I asked my father- "Dad, can I play baseball?" He said "You'll never know until you try." When I was a teenager, I asked him, - "Dad Can I become a surgeon?". He replied "Son, you'll never know until you try." Today I am a Surgeon, just because I tried! 6. GOODNESS & GRATITUDE Today, after a 72 hour shift at the fire station, a woman ran up to me at the grocery store and gave me a hug. When I tensed up, she realized I didn’t recognize her. She let go with tears of joy in her eyes and the most sincere smile and said, “On 9-11-2001, you carried me out of world trade centre. 7. LOOKING BACK Today, as my father, three brothers, and two sisters stood around my mother’s hospital bed, my mother uttered her last coherent words before she died. She simply said, “I feel so loved right now. We should have gotten together like this more often.” 8. AFFECTION Today, I kissed my dad on the forehead as he passed away in a small hospital bed. About 5 seconds after he passed, I realized it was the first time I had given him a kiss since I was a little boy. 9. SHARING Today, I was traveling in Kenya and I met a refugee from Zimbabwe. He said he hadn’t eaten anything in over 3 days and looked extremely skinny and unhealthy. Then my friend offered him the rest of the sandwich he was eating. The first thing the man said was, “We can share it.”

  5. Who is richer than Bill Gates? Someone asked Bill Gates, "Is there any person richer than you?" He said, "Yes, only one. Many years ago, I had been dismissed & had gone to New York airport.I read titles of newspapers there.I liked one of them and I want to buy it. But didn't have change (coin). I abandoned." Suddenly, a black boy called me and said “This newspaper for you.” I said, "..but I don’t have change." He said,“No problem, i give you free”. After 3 months, i went there. Coincidentally, that story happened again and that same boy gave another free newspaper again. I said, "I can’t accept. But he said, 'i give you from my profit' After 19 years, I had been rich and I decided to find that boy. I found him after one and half months searching. I asked him, do you know me? He said, “Yes, you’re famous Bill Gates.” I said, twice you gave me free newspaper many years ago. Now, i want to compensate it. I am going to give you everything that you want. Black young man replied, “You can’t compensate it!” I said, why? He said, "Because i gave you when I was poor. You want to give me when you are rich. So, how do you compensate?" Bill Gates said, I think that black young man is richer than me. You don't have to be rich or wait to be rich to give.

  6. [OP here.] Thank you for the kind response. Yes I have read a lot about the religion, I'll also add Punjabi isn't a problem (we speak that at home), my parents are originally from Amritsar (should have mentioned that), it's just the non-familiarity with the Gurmukhi script. And yeah, I'm a guy. Learning Gurmukhi should not be very difficult (in contrast it is much harder to learn sanskrit and read the Gita/ vedas), I will refer to the basics of Sikhi playlist on that.

  7. A gurdwara outside of India used Hindi as the parchar medium? This is a new one to me. I wonder where this could have been. OOPs, OK, I see: you're a Hindu, and you just went to the Gurdwara because it was closer. Yes, conversion is welcome if done under appropriate circumstances (no compulsion, also I would never say to someone to divorce their wife to become a Sikh). OK, you don't read Gurmukhi. Are you a Punjabi? Do you speak Punjabi, if only a little? Only reason I ask is it will be easier to learn to read Punjabi if you already somewhat speak it. I don't advise that you should become a Sikh right away. Rather, you should learn about Sikh philosophy. You should listen (if you can't read) to the path (recitation) of Guru Granth Sahib, easily available online. Please ignore the other user who said if you went to a Gurdwara, you're already a Sikh. But before I say anything else, Why do you want to become a Sikh? Is there a problem remaining a Hindu?

The key here is to please Wahiguru through love and bhakti, and submit oneself fearlessly to His Mauj, that´s it, nothing more needed. Rest is all His kirpa. No amount of any efforts of ours can ever clear our sins, we only need a spark of His Daya Meher to clear all our uncountable sins/karmas, that also not in several births as many may think, but in an instant, just as Guru Jee tells us above. 14. Ways to save a life: 1. Choking - Just lift up your arms. In New Jersey, US, a 5 years old boy, cleverly saved his grandmother's life, with a very simple method, by raising the arms! His 56 years old grandma Dilihua was at home watching TV while eating fruits. When she turned her head, a piece of fruit got stuck in her throat. She tried to press on her chest to dislodge it, but it doesn't help. When the boy asked: "Grandma, are you choking?", she could not answer. "I think you are choking Grandma, raise your hands, raise your hands." The Grandma did as he said, and really managed to spit out the fruit! Her grandson was very calm, and said it was something he learned in school. 2. Body aches upon waking Do you wake up in the morning and find yourself experiencing body aches? Does your neck feel sore and painful? What should you do if you experience these symptoms? Just lift your feet up! Pull your big toes outwards, and slowly massage and rotate in a clockwise or counterclockwise direction! 3 Foot cramps When you have a cramp in your left foot, raise your right arm as high as possible. When you have a cramp in your right foot, raise your left arm. This will soothe immediately. 4. Feet numbness If your left foot becomes numb, swing your your right hand out forcefully. If your right foot is numb, then swing your left hand. 【Three rescue methods】 1. Half body paralysis (regardless due to brain hemorrhage or clogged blood vessels), half side face drooping. Immediately take a sewing needle and puncture the patient's earlobes at the lowest point, then squeeze out a drop of blood on each side. The sufferer will be immediately cured, and will not have any lasting symptoms. 2. Heart stop due to heart attack. Immediately take off the patient socks, and with a sewing needle puncture each one of the person's ten toes, squeezing a drop of blood out. The patient will then wake up. 3. When the patient has difficulty breathing, regardless whether due to asthma or acute laryngitis, etc., until they start to turn red, quickly puncture the tip of the nose with a needle and squeeze out two drops of black blood. * The above three methods are not dangerous at all, and can be performed within 10 seconds. Forwarded as received.

  15. Sorry to contradict you OneBeing, but brother Monatosingh is quite right above. Just as it does not matter if you have one bundle of dry grass or a room filled with it, in any case, just one spark is enough to burn any amount of dry grass. In a similar way Wahihguru´s kirpa is enough to wash all one´s sins. If He wants, He can clean each and every soul from all thier dirt, just with His one wish, in a second so to say. Let´s go the other way, and still one will reach the same conclusion. If it could take Him several lifetimes to wash one´s sins, then what guarantee is there that we will not engage anymore in "karam", for human beings are weak by nature.... Brother do not compare Him to any other being, be it man, devtay , gods, or godesses, He is all powerful, and His power is none other, than His bakshish and His pyaar. When a dirty cloth is given to a washerman, he will wash it clean at once, rather than saying, I wil wash it a bit everyday. So is Sachay Patshah, submit yourself to His Hukum, and He will wash you that much, and make you so pure pavter, that you will not be born anymore, moreover, He will merge you in Him. Such is His beant wadeayee. Any doubt still left OneBeing, regarding His power? Or about His omnisciense? God bless you. Sat Sree Akal.

  17. Sikhi I have also realised is a systems over goals process. What I mean by this for example is that if your goal is to become more patient and less angry and less anxious person, by reading bani daily and doing naam simran on a regular basis means you make those changes which kind of makes the goal irrelevant in some respects. You are also creating discipline in a natural way which can even willpower look irrelevant because it becomes second nature.

  18. OneBeing Jee, today I was going through the Anmol Bani, where I came through the following passage, which I feel that it can dispel your fears, for it is not a man made message, but rather directly from Guru Jee. So pay attention carefully, and try to follow it implicitly, there is nothing to loose, but gain Him Himself through His kirpa. Raag Bilaval, Third Patshahee Sree Guru Amar Das Maharaj. Here it goes: ਜਿਸ ਦਾ ਸਾਹਿਬੁ ਡਾਢਾ ਹੋਇ ॥ Jis Dha Sahib Ddadta Hoe || One who belongs to the All-powerful Lord and Master ਤਿਸ ਨੋ ਮਾਰਿ ਨ ਸਾਕੈ ਕੋਇ ॥ This No Mar N Sakai Koe || No one can destroy him. ਸਾਹਿਬ ਕੀ ਸੇਵਕੁ ਰਹੈ ਸਰਣਾਈ ॥ Sahib Kee Saevak Rehai Saranaee || The Lord's servant remains under His protection; ਆਪੇ ਬਖਸੇ ਦੇ ਵਡਿਆਈ ॥ Apae Bakhasae Dhae Vaddiaee || The Lord Himself forgives him, and blesses him with glorious greatness. ਤਿਸ ਤੇ ਊਪਰਿ ਨਾਹੀ ਕੋਇ ॥ This Thae Oopar Nahee Koe || There is none higher than Him. ਕਉਣੁ ਡਰੈ ਡਰੁ ਕਿਸ ਕਾ ਹੋਇ ॥੪॥ Koun Ddarai Ddar Kis Ka Hoe ||4|| Why should he be afraid? What should he ever fear? ||4|| ਗੁਰਮਤੀ ਸਾਂਤਿ ਵਸੈ ਸਰੀਰ ॥ Guramathee Santh Vasai Sareer || Through the Guru's Teachings, peace and tranquility abide within the body. The key here is to become a sewak of Wahiguru Akal Purukh, by doing His selfless sewa, which is none other than His chintan, His Mahima, His ustatee, His simran. The Bani says, that alone sewa is accepted in His court, that one, which pleases Him. So which one pleases Him and is the highest? Again the Bani says: Sarab dharm meh sresht dharm Har ka Naam jap nirmal karma. Sat Sree Akal.

  24. Have you read the rest of the Shabad by Bhagat Kabirji? You are no different to those you accuse of not understanding the underlying essence of the scriptures. Please read the rest of the Shabad where Bhagat kabirji criticises halal slaughter, ritual cleansing etc. Btw the Shabad has always been read along with the Sakhi where Bhagat Kabirji criticises those who dismiss other's scriptures without having contemplated them. So there is nothing wrong on stating they do not make sense once you have read them. Your understanding of Kafir is what the Muslims want non-Muslims in the west to believe until they are able to become a majority and then you will understand what they really mean by kafir. Mohammed killed and threw out all the Jews and Christians out of Arabia. So were all these Jews and Christians ones who refused to thank god and were ungrateful?? Stop playing word games. Islam means submission to the will of Allah not belief in Gods other than Allah. Lets play your wold game further, I know since every person alive in this world is learning something each and every day then that makes them Sikhs! So who says Sikhs are only 25 million, we Sikhs are now 6 Billion!

  26. He was used by Rajiv Gandhi to divide the Sikhs just as the witch Indira had used Santa the Nihang to divide the Panth in 1984. Barnala also used the police in 1986 to invade the Durbar Sahib so giving the Indian government credibility as they could point out that EVEN a Sikh had taken the same action as Indira Gandhi had done. Rajiv Gandhi dropped him after using him and sacked his government when it looked like Congress would lose in Haryana in 1987. Although Barnala's government was bad it was many times better than the Badals, At least Barnala allowed Justice Ajit Singh Bains to look into the cases of Sikh youths in jail and released a majority if not all those whose had been falsely imprisoned by the govt.

  28. It looks like an attack by either IS or Al Qaeda, apparently one of the attackers shouted Allah Hu Akbar. It is probably IS behind this as they have openly stated that they will any country which is bombing them in Syria and France is one of the countries that is bombing Syria. Russia started to do the same a few months ago and they lost a passenger jet soon after allegedly to a bomb on board. IS had made statements for the last year that it would bring death and destruction to Europe and earlier this year they said that they would use the refugee flows into Europe to send their Jihadis into Europe. Merkel is probably having nightmares having invited over a million refugees without any prior vetting into Germany in the last few months. I think there will be more and more terrorist attacks in Europe thus causing tensions among the different communities. Sikhs need to be careful because as usual we will get confused with the adherents of the religion of 'peace'

  30. Your situation is different from Khushwant Singh. There is nothing in Sikhism that says that he is not free to be an atheist whereas in Islam there is. The only 'punishment' he would suffer would be if he was to take Amrit and commit any of the kurehats and even then he would need to seek forgiveness for his offence. As I said they only punishment would be that many Sikhs would break all social contact with him were he not to seek forgiveness. His situation is like a citizen of say the UK who does not vote in the elections but would support the government if the country were invaded. Your situation is that of a member of the Nazi party but who has Jewish friends and is against the holocaust. This is why I said you are a hypocrite because you continue to support a religion which is against your personal belief system and which if you were to publicly announce what your personal belief system was, you would be in fear of your life. Even given all this you remain in the religion. What your personal situation does show is how much of an influence a cult can have on its members even when they clearly do not believe in the cult any longer. I think your views may also have something to do with the fact that you will lose your family because as with all cults, Islam decrees that it's rules and regulations are above any considerations of family ties. There are quite a lot of youtube videos of ex-muslims who have left Islam and have had to deal with the reactions of their family members. I think you need to be true to yourself because they deception that you are playing on your family can be detrimental to your mental health. I think you should get a referral from your doctor to some counselling where you can work through your issues. Unfortunately the options are either full time paid up membership of the Islam cult and all the entails or a life free from the fear of allah's hellfire but full of fear from even your nearest and dearest. I remember discussing with a Muslim years ago and when the question was put to him whether he would support the sharia punishment of death if his mother became an apostate he was clear that he would! This is the kind of person that Islam create if he is born into the religion or attracts if he is convert,
    1 point
  31. You are quite right but rather than this unwillingness to accept the truth being a positive it is actually a very dangerous and suicidal negative. The same belief can make a Muslim say a Sunni Muslim put on a suicide belt and blow up a Mosque because it is a Shia Mosque. A Shia will do the same to a Sunni Mosque. Honestly if the whole world became Muslim tomorrow, Islam will still remain a religion of violence and terrorism because one sect of Muslim will kill another sect of Muslim in an endless cycle of violence. You have glossed over why you as an atheist do not want other Muslims to know what you are. The reason is quite clear, these same Muslims will not wait for a moment before they start to throttle you or behead you. You are safer in a western country than you would be in an Islamic country. Do you now see why apart from being a atheist you are also a hypocrite. You support a religion in which you have no belief and the tenets of which clearly would call for your death.
    1 point
  32. Muslims also respect force and determination. After 9/11 most Muslims believed that the attack would be seen as so terrible that this would be the end of the hospitality enjoyed by Muslims in the west. In their eyes, if such an attack had taken place in an Muslim country (say in Egypt by Coptic Christians) then Muslims would have massacred all the Copts in Egypt. So they also expected the west to take action against them but then when all the western leaders could do was turn up at the Mosque and give press conferences that Islam is a religion of peace, the Muslims perceived this as weakness and woe betide any country under attack from Muslims which shows weakness. Look at Myanmar, they have forced the Rohingya Muslims out after they raped Buddhist women and yet you don't see western Muslims rushing to their aid. Same for the Palestinians, because Israel takes no nonsense from them although Muslims in the west will support the Palestinians very few would go and fight Israel on their behalf. As Muslims believe themselves that force is right so when force is used against them, they will respect that as they will respect societies that use violence against Muslims in order to protect themselves. Coming to the western societies, because of their treatment of their Muslims with kid gloves, Muslims see this as a weakness and hence the west as weak and ripe for a Muslim takeover. Ironically there were no attacks on the US mainland when George Bush was president but when Obama came in and was seen as weak after his apology tour of the middle east the terrorist attacks in the USA have increased.
    1 point
  33. These so-called moderates are in fact more dangerous than the so-called extremists. The moderates lull the rest of society into thinking that the extremists are just nutcases and most Muslims are just like most other people wanting to get on in life. Meanwhile the moderates actively pursue an agenda of subverting western society into an islamic one. These moderates are no averse to lying in order to present Islam in a good light. Just listen to their calls into radio stations and TV shows, just a few days ago one so-called moderate Muslim women blatantly lied on the Wright Stuff asking Matthew Wright if he knew what the word Islam meant, when he asked her to tell him she lied and said that the 'word Islam means peace'! It means submission btw but that would not have served her purpose which was to lull the tv audience. The difference between moderates and extremists is that the moderates are willing to bide their time and subvert the society whereas the extremists are impatient.
    1 point
  34. I think you are looking at this from a western perspective. Western society has mostly abandoned religion ie Christianity and anyone who claims to be a Christian is seen as some kind freak. What matters is not belief in God but getting by in society, owning a home, a good job and retiring well possibly in a warm climate, With the secularisation of western society western people have forgotten just how important religion is for non-western people. For Muslims more so, especially as the core belief is that Islam is a religion that trumps all other religions and that Allah has made Muslims the best of people and non-Muslims are basically animals. Now put yourself in their shoes. The family in the picture believes that they are the people chosen by Allah to rule the world and YET everywhere Islam has failed. Muslim states are mostly corrupt basket cases which are one strong leader's death away from anarchy. For this family, the secular west which in their eyes in the lowest form of society and one which is an abomination to Allah is succeeding (healthcare, welfare, peaceful etc) whereas Islamic societies are a failure. So how do they rationalise this. Either they can use their common sense and admit that Islam and its ideas of society are redundant or they can go to the extreme and believe that the failure of Muslim society is not because of their adherence to Islam but because they are not adhering to Islam. So its not a case of less Islam but more Islam and hence the reason that most Muslims opt for the purer form of Islam which is Salafism and not the airy fairy Sufism which has no basis in Islam. So for this family the benefits of living in a western society will never make up for living in a pure Islamic society where Muslims are on top and non-Muslims are oppressed. That society is what they yearn for and at the moment the only place where such a society has been set up is in the aptly named Islamic state. You would think that all the media reporting of rape of Yazidi girls, homosexuals thrown from roofs and beheadings would put them off IS but then we need to understand that this is EXACTLY the type of society they yearn for. Migration called Hijrat also has an important role as Sharia rules that if a Muslim feels that he lives in society where he is not able to practise his Islam and he cannot actively change that society then it is incumbent on him to move to a Muslim area where he will be allowed to practice Islam peacefully. Although in most peoples eyes Muslims have it easy in the UK yet for these Muslims because society is not ruled by Sharia law then it is still deficient. So either this family stays in the UK and attempts to subvert the society and change it into an Islamic one which is not so easy or they move to the ideal Islamic society which is what they have done.

  35. One thing is for certain: their loyalty to their religion trumps everything else, even what most of us would term as the Truth, or right and wrong. If their faith says the sky is green and the grass is blue, then that's what they believe. There is no reasoning, no meeting halfway, no live and let live.
    1 point
  36. I've read that technically a Muslim no matter how much of a good Muslim he is, is not guarantee heaven and the only way that he can be sure that he will get his quota of virgins in the whorehouse in the sky is by becoming a martyr. This is why the early Muslims were so into attacking neighbouring lands since if they died in the attack they go to the heaven and get the virgins but if they lived they could enslave the women of their enemies and get their virgins in this world. An ideal religion for bloodthirsty desert nomads from a violent society. But as Islam has expanded the non-Arab converts apart from the Turks and Mongol/Tartars weren't so bloodthirsty and were attracted to a more spiritual Islam (ie Sufism) without the call to arms and dying physically to get to heaven. As Islam is returning to its 7th century roots and the Salafis and Wahabis have successfully relegated Sufism to being a heresy, Muslims nowadays who research their religion find that the only sure way to get their virgins is by dying in a Jihad hence the desire of many young Muslims to fight in a Jihad. Also as martyrs on the day of judgement they will be able to intercede on behalf of their parents in order to also get them into heaven. This is why although most of those parents deny any knowledge of what their sons or even daughters were doing secretly they are in full support because their martyr son will get them also into heaven.

Sometimes what seems like a punishment is actually a lesson that has to be administered in that particular way for us to digest and absorb its meaning. Remember, what you reap now is the affect of something you once sowed. Just gotta think good, do good, and live good, but not for reward or any easy life but because goodness is Truth and Truth is the greatest thing of all, IMO. Maharaj is on our side, always ready with a hand to raise us up when we fall.

  40. Interesting post and something that we all need to consider. In the West more and more people are beginning to realise that this not about 'oppression' of Muslims, Palestine or any other Muslim issue. Apart from some die hard liberal lefties whose hatred of Blair and Bush blinds then to what is happening, most people now know that the issue is Islam itself. Islam attempted to take over the world just after its was founded, it oppressed millions from Spain to India. Thankfully some areas of the world were saved from having to live under Sharia law. China, Western Europe, parts of Africa, Indo-China etc. Some attempts were made to get back the holy land of the Christians through the Crusades. Although nowadays universally condemned they were in essence an attempt by Christians to take back wat had originally been their land. Islam was the aggressor in the 7th Century having invaded Christian lands of the middle east. Islam then went into decline and the danger of Islam was forgotten. Now flush with oil money Islam is again threatening the west and other non-Muslim areas.

  41. It's so easy to excuse the fanatics of Islam that purposefully attack innocent people. In the last five years we've had so many terror attacks and instead of knowing what the threat is we have people come up with lame excuses like this. Muslims are 20% of the world population yet around 95% of all terror attacks can be attributed to them. Haven't you read or heard that the proud Muslim boast is that they love death like non-Muslims love life. Is there anything like the cult of death in other religions?

  42. If Islam is from Waheguru then there would be no need for the Shaheeds to give Shaheedi. As for badmouthing other faiths there is nothing wrong is letting a fanatic know that you don't think mush of his fanaticism. Don't the Nihangs refer to going to the toilet as shooing the Qazi or something like that. I doubt that programme will give the whole truth about Muslims. For every Muslims who can't keep the truth hidden and rants on about wanting to kill non-Muslims channel 4 will bring 10 Muslim apologists to regurgitate the same old crud that Islam is a religion of peace. The mainstream media can never tell the whole truth otherwise the whole country will turn on the Muslims. I find it funny that all those Al Qaida moorakhs like Bin Laden and Hazbollah fools keep on going on about 'we love death as you love life'.. why you hiding in a cave then?
