  1. These groups only target certain communities because they are divided and weak. Do you see these grooming gangs targeting Jewish women? No because generally the Jews stick up for themselves. We've had our own holocausts but we remain divided. I know Jews who don't practice Judaism but they still identify themselves as Jewish (culturally). But our 'community' is too busy trying to appease and make money to care about identity . Likewise I know areas where there are lots of nepalese people in the UK and Muslims don't touch that community because they would go 'ape' if they were targeted. Same with many other communities that aren't targeted . As for the comments like Sikhi is a man-made religion. Ask any Muslim and I have from scholars downwards where is the original koran that was written by the 'illiterate' Muhammed ? Something like that would be held safely somewhere but it doesn't exist. It's one of the 'free miracles' given to Islamic scholars. There is no traceable record of the complete Koran back to Muhammed's time. For example the torah and old testament can be traced back (Jewish folk were pedantic in ensuring the integrity of their texts). Which is why the New testament isn't held highly by Christian and Jewish scholars as it was written a few generations after Jesus by the likes of Peter who had 'political' motivations behind what went in. Back to the Koran it was written by various scribes of Muhammed and then after Muhammed's death there were various versions that were brought together (based on written and memorised records). So if that doesn't make something man-made I dont know what is. Especially when you consider the people who oversaw this would have had 'political', 'economic' and 'power' motives behind what was in it (imagine the Saudi royal family being in charge 1400 years ago, and that type of person overseeing the compilation) . Part of protecting our community should be about educating our youth not just about our history but the history of other religions , so they can make their own informed decisions. You have to arm yourself with knowledge

  2. The sanghera and samra surnames have disgrace Sikhi not cos of actions of Sikh men but because of Sikh girls within those families.... so clearly there is an issue with women within these circles that are not taught Sikhism but are taught worshiping baba's, taught pride in Jattism are taught bhangraism are taught librealism, they are taught alcholism, they are taught worshipping money and materialism, they are taught mixed-faith relationships is fine. We need to ensure Sikh girls loyalty should only be towards Sikhism and Guru's everything else shouldnt be even worth considering. How do you get these kinda Sikh girls to have loyality towards sikhi? It comes from good Sikh parenting, good sikh sangat friends and peers around them and creating a loving peaceful calm home environment where Kids respect you as parents. Every Sikh girl that has converted, disgraced or ran away from home eloping with a non-sikh has always been cos the parents/family is dysfunctional and the kid seeks an escape.

  3. The problem is not that these are jatt surnames but they are 'Sikh surname'. This issue isnt about jatts being the most idiotic sikhs in the kaum because there is good and bad in all castes and castes is something that should be actively destroyed by inter-marriage with other caste Sikhs. In this day and age we shouldn't even be talking about castes in Sikhi. Any Sikh who is proud of his/her jattism or another caste should be mocked and slapped around with contempt not held to a peddle-stool

  4. The groomers come low down on the list, first to blame is the stupid parents who ignored their daughter's wish to learn about sikhi , then her fooliness to switch to following musley ideas rather than going online phoning up sikh helpline or something to get help finding sangat then come the Muslim girls who sold her out then the males who indoctrinated her

  5. what has your bloodline or family's past trade got to do with anything of value TODAY? People laugh that Jatts look for quotas like mangte ,all the while singing and showing off about their bling and bad habits ....before you say anything I am from the same background but it has ZERO to do with my Sikhi- my true culture and where my loyalty lies ,current career has nothing to do with kheti so why should I be so Proud ? It's the same Hindu Jatts who allowed teeyan to happen to their girls , who are now trying to convince sikh jatts that it is part of their culture when it is reviving a cultural shame ...and yet so called Sikh 'jatts' jump on the band wagon without a second thought . We are NOT Jatts first but Sikhs first ...straighten out priorities

  6. I fully agree...Groomers have been there for at least the last 30 years...They will always be there this is beyond our control. What is in our control is raising children responsibly and instilling Sikhi knowledge ethics and a strong sense of identity. Neglecting children and not not providing them with adequate attention and knowledge leaves them more vulnerable to threats like Grooming. If you send a child into the world empty and unprepared...there's plenty of bad outside influences who will fill up that void.. If families don't give their their children the adquate time and attention..They will seek it elsewhere and the groomers are ready and waiting to manipulate and exploit this lack of attention. Part of this responsibility is to have strong role models within the family both male and female. If you show your children that alcoholism and partying is an acceptable lifestyle...Don't be surprised if they head down the same road.

  7. don't be deluded veer ji , they can and regularly do groom non-christians to 'join the flock' , in fact they are trained to do it from a young age, my twin sons are friends with christian twins since age 10 , both sets are strong in their individual faiths in fact, my lads asked them blatantly if they believed that being sikh meant they couldn't get into heaven, when the christians were trying to do promo of Christianity , the answer Yes, next question Are you trying to change us ? yes , no point bro we already pray and worship only the Creator. But then when asked about their Jewish forebears chances they didn't know how to answer, (family changed faith after WWII). Didn't stop them trying to get the lads over to their church even invite them to 'festival' weekend. Obviously my sons talk to me and I prewarned and armed them with sikhi knowledge , they are still good friends after 8 years and there is mutual respect because my lot could answer all the arguments and show sikhi as being more open , less condemning than Abrahamic faiths they knew.

  9. no don't do that , hindus are converting at a faster rate than us and They just simply HIDE the fact by disowning the people., much like they disowned their daughters back in the day When the ANgrez were writing headlines in newspapers of the imminent demise of sikhi within 10 years back in victorian days , Singhs didn'y pay any they just carri about ed on with parchaar, gurbani and rehit, they also pounced on areas where chinks were forming and double-down on parchaar. Don't worry about what people say about our future , worry about serving the Guru the best way you can and spread sikhi

  10. Waheguru ji khalsa Waheguru ji Fateh LONDON, UK—Basics of Sikhi founder Bhai Jagraj Singh, from England, passed away today in the highest of spirits and completed his spiritual and physical journey on Earth. Bhai Jagraj Singh was well respected internationally and renowned for his “street parchar” that he started in London, but has now spread worldwide. In December 2016, Bhai Jagraj Singh was diagnosed with cancer. The news was unexpected and left the Sikh Sangat worldwide in shock. Tests revealed that Bhai Jagraj Singh had been diagnosed with stage four advanced cancer which spread to his liver and was inoperable. Since then, he went through chemotherapy and also tried natural remedies, however, he always insisted that this was hukam (will of Vaheguru). Bhai Jagraj Singh firmly insisted that whatever is happening is already pre-ordained and he asked his supporters to remain in chardi kala (high spirits) and attached to Gurbani. Respected internationally for his “street parchar”, Bhai Jagraj Singh started several initiatives in 2012 to raise awareness of the Sikh faith. Since then, he has trained dozens of parchariks(preachers) worldwide. He has spoken at camps and events across the world as well. Along with Basics of Sikhi, some of the other initiatives launched by him include the Amritsar Visitor Center, Sikh Press Association and the Mighty Khalsa project. The Sikh Press Association is a media facing project providing publicity for the Panth. The project runs positive PR campaigns to raise the profile of Sikhs in the mainstream. Mighty Khalsa is a Sikh kids orientated set of educational books, games and apps project. At the time when Bhai Jagraj Singh was diagnosed with cancer, he shared the following message with the Sangat – “Only SatGuru Ji can give or take life away and they are never wrong, only perfect. In all the Seva that Guru Ji allowed me to do of his beautiful Panth, I’ve made many mistakes and I ask forgiveness from the Sangat. If the Guru’s message has touched you and you feel it’s the truth, I urge you to follow that truth and become a GurSikh as none of us knows how long we have left. Please do Ardaas that Guru Ji gives me a place in his Charan and keeps my family and the Panth in Chardi-Kala. May the Panth flourish, even if I am finished, this is pure joy for me.”

  11. He showed us anyone can do street parchar all it takes is courage, faith and determination. Hopefully we will see more charismatic bhai jagraj's in the future engaging with the public and spreading Sikhi to non-believers.

  12. That is a problem. We have had so many non Sikhs making fake IDs pretending to be Sikhs and trying to impose their non Sikhs agendas on us. Some like this Parmjit is found out earlier while some are better at hiding their real views.

  13. This poster is very offended by my remarks of Punjab police. I'm guessing she may be married to one or have one in the family. Her English is horrible, which says she may be from India. Or may be a Punjab police officer herself. Punjab police is not an independent force when it comes to protecting certain groups. They are the lap dogs of the elite and politicians. Corruption is strongly embedded into as its the ruling hand of the land. When Punjab police get beat up. The community views it as a victory and fully support it.

  14. Bravo to this. We can either bicker and fight each other endlessly like dogs, or we can unite to fight our problems.

  15. No, but the consequences of their meddling in Sikh affairs is no small thing is it. Taking a people away from norms of society that they themselves have established for themselves is no small thing is it. Destroying a powerful and high quality educational system and encouraging peasant culture in its place is obviously going to have catastrophic effects for a people isn't it. You start meddling with any society to the degree brits did and the effects will be long ranging and enduring. But like a true whitey, you're oblivious to all this because it might force you to reflect on the ugly truths about your own society, that you all like to be in denial about (or keep swept under the carpet).
