  1. Oh why oh why oh why? Blithering id**t When will our people stop fighting other people's battles and focus on our own! When will we ever learn!

  2. So, friend, are you saying that once we adopt Sikhism, we have to dispense with all of the accumulated wisdom of the ages, and all that we possibly have to guide is is explicit injunctions of Gurbani, and anything not explicitly enjoined there we can do?

  3. First of all, it's nice that you're starting to do Nitnem. Hope it bears fruit. I have a feeling that no matter what I were to say, somebody would slam me. If I said, just do your Japji Sahib in the evening if you missed it in the morning, someone will loudly insist that you can never do Japji in the evening. And the same for the opposite. So I'll say the only unassailable thing, which is: wake up early so you can do your Japji Sahib in the morning, like everyone knows it's supposed to be done. A fully grown adult can usually get by on 6 hours of sleep, but let's say you need 8 hours, same as a teenager: If you sleep at 9, you should be able to wake up at 5am. Even better go to sleep at 8:30 and wake up at 4:30. If you wake up at 5 o'clock, you should certainly be able to sit for 10-15 min to do Japji Sahib, right?

  4. Right. When you're living in an Islamic State (Islamic Raj), everything is at the mercy of the state, so you can't really say people are converting voluntarily, because Muslims abused the power of the state to coerce non-Muslims, so you can't call it "non-violent conversions". It's like either your daughter will be raped and dishonored, and your house will be looted, or you can "voluntarily" accept Islam, and we'll find a husband for your daughter, and you can continue living in your house. What a choice.

  5. What the hell can be done. We don't have an army any more to sort things out. We are too busy pretending to be warriors with fake, useless, symbolic 'kirpans'.

  6. Guess everyone would rather talk about the quran than a working Gurdwara being demolished in the space of a couple of hours in Madya Pradesh by the POLICE and local Govt.

  7. Please no banning. As anyone can verify, I accept the Dasam Granth Sahib as Guru Gobind Singh ji's work, but the arguments against it do not require banning. Many, many Sikhs have been deluded into confusion regarding the Tenth Masters bani, and they have many questions, which can easily be answered. For one, I'd like the admins not to ban @SinghSabha1699. Just refute what he says if you don't agree with him.

  8. At least people who might need it could get access to it. Plus, do you know how many big time solicitors, barristers, engineers, teachers and a myriad of other decent working people I've met use this plant to help them get by! This is a non-issue. End of. Good this family made money. How the hell is it different to any brewery making money, or some pharmaceutical? It's okay for an army of Singhs to run off licenses (like they did when I was growing up), even though all those fags and booze cause more problems than sukha - but this thing is unacceptable. Mate, get real.

  9. The reason they didn't tell about their older daughter is they haven't seen her since, and didn't think it was relevant to their daughter's rishta, as they have probably disowned her. And the other reason is because they would feel ashamed about her, and they would have thought if they do, then it wouldn't portray their family in a good light, thus may have negative thoughts towards her other daughter, due to the older one.

  10. Think of it this way, if she was going to run off then she would have already. You have an advantage here, your potential wife here is going to be more considerate because her family had already gone through a lot of hassle already. Bottom line, you shouldn't judge her or her family because of one family member.

  11. You should be employed as a foot-stool for her majesty. This would involve you crouching down on all fours infront of HRH (much like a dog) and allowing her to use your back as a foot rest whilst she is seated. If you was around in colonial times you might have been the chief pukkah-wallah of the ruling elite? lol

  14. I couldn't give a toss about this. A plant I saw growing like....well...a weed all over the place in Panjab, is now a criminal act to grow. Something that is grown and sold in other countries like Amsterdam, Portugal and even the US without any fanfare is now criminal. Something that has a thousand or two years history of being used medically, that cuts across many cultures. Something that is increasingly found to be useful for a variety of medical ailments (including serious ones) is somehow bad. This is all bull5hite;. That family committed no crime.

  15. You aren't them. You never will be the way you're going. The greatest Sikh parcharaks, kathavachaks, and scholars I've heard in my life have never flapped their gums about these figures in the manner that you do. They highlight their deficiencies according to Gurmat. You insult them as if they cut you up in traffic. I'll say it again: you aren't them. There's nothing Sikh about what you're doing. It's demented childishness.

  16. You know why you struggle with focusing on spirituality, curbing Kaam, etc? Because of nonsense like that in bold. You heap such incredible bhaar on yourself without having the kamaai to shoulder such words and opinions. You don't have to agree or like other faiths and their figureheads - i certainly don't when it comes to a few of them - but where do you get the cojones to speak of such figures in that way?

  19. sikh will never be missionaries as missionaries believe they get brownie points for bringing people into christianity by breaking them from their root faith , they use bribes of food, scholarships , jobs etc , then once in they abandon the poor ... SIkhs will however be the bringers of peace, justice and food for all irrespective of their faiths . Missionary college, Ludhiana is a govt agent mill the years where these scum have been prominent is since the start of the Anandpur resolution lehar. The older objecters were individuals manmatti and ignorant
