  4. I'm not sure if you mean this as in literal parents. A a great lesson I have learned in my life is that family relations are false. They are karam given to you by Maharaj. Yes keep loving them, but as you love everything else, for all is an Illusion, it's all just Him. Some people have Awful parents, so the above quote cannot always be taken literally, although the poem is lovely!

  5. God knows what they mean lol but it could mean that everyone is right in their own mind, even when they're way off track. He deludes us as He wills us to be deluded and gifts us understanding of Truth when He wills it. This is may be going off on a tangent but the reality is that everyone's at their learning stage as God wills them to be, no matter what level one is at or how far into Maya they are, they're just at their own stage of learning and respecting that and just letting everything and everyone Be without anger is a divine quality.

We can choose to eat or not according to our own understanding but try not to criticise maryada before doing research into why .

  16. Well said. If we look at how Sikhs of old were and Sikhs of now. We can see indoctrinated liberalism has been the slow poison thats been killing our community in punjab never mind drugs/alcohol. In the meanwhile our opposition are getting more nationalistic and right wing and intolerant of the other. Sikhs used to be very intolerant and violent of the other during the might of the Sikh misls and eventual rise of the empire by maharajah ranjit singh. The decline came when Sikhs started to fight each other because of the allowance of hindu punjabis, muslims and white non-sikhs into their positions of power in their government and country. Had the Sikhs been more like muslims or more like banda singh bahadur and forced muslims to convert to Sikhi or be killed then we would have seen our empire and our influence stretch into persia in no time but brahminwad got a grip of ranjit singh early on and he allowed the dogras in who in turn were determined to undermine Sikhs and uplift their own dogra community and as a result we can seen hundreds of years on the muslims have retaken most of what was the Sikh empire and afghanistan is a islamic hell hole, so is kashmir and is pakistan. All because of the trust Sikhs placed on non-sikhs and allowing them in our internal affairs...

  17. Flippin' hell. Although I applaud bringing out the dangers of oestrogen producing substances, arguing like we are here seems plain nuts. In my opinion we do need many more places for Sikhs to eat out and socialise. Living around East London with its plethora of halal outlets makes it hard to get any food on those rare occasions we might feel like eating out. So I'm glad Sikhs are opening businesses like this. We NEED to create a strong robust diverse Sikh economy. Things like this helps.

  18. The next generation of comrades posing as Sikhs has come about and is now very active on social media posting things such as this. One example is 'Sikh Talk' on facebook. These people are continuing the same tactics as the generations before them in Punjab. They wish to destroy Sikhi from inside by secretly promoting their extreme left wing views and anti-religious sentiments under the guise of being pro Sikh. These atheist comrades were the biggest enemies of the Sikh freedom movement and make up most of the current Sikh missionary dushts. The current generation are not aware of the history of these scumbag commies in Punjab and therefore can be slightly naive when it comes to these kinds of snippets of info. For instance the fact that ATHEIST (not Sikh) Surjeet was a hugely hated individual in Punjab. Beware of the commie menace!

  20. #PrayforJagrajSingh A Tribute ਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂਜੀਕਾਖਾਲਸਾਵਾਹਿਗੁਰੂਜੀਕੀਫਤਿਹ With Maharaj Ji's Kirpa, my wife, baby and I visited Jagraj Singh bhaji a few days before he got this horrible diagnosis. We were talking about possible outcomes and death and he said with a beautiful smile, "Singh, don't worry. I already died 16 years ago. This has all been borrowed time." The glow on his face was incredible when he said this. When you are blessed with Dhan Guru Gobind Singh Ji's Amrit, you become Immortal. Through Guru Ji, one conquers even death. Jagraj Singh bhaji's mission in this life is to help liberate others and attach them to the Charan of Guru Sahib Ji. I know many of us feel powerless at this time and wish there is something that we can do to help. There is. Pray. We're asking anyone from any religion or background to lovingly pray to The One. Even if you've never spoke to our Creator before, please Speak to Them now. Go inside yourself and ask Vaheguru Ji to bless our brother Jagraj Singh ji and his beautiful family. Ask for them and Guru Ji's Panth to remain in Chardi Kala. The story is not over yet. Guru Ji can do anything! Miracles do happen. Bhaji's life is a miracle! The greatest power in this world is the Power of the Sangat, the Power of Ardaas and the Power of SatGuru, Guru Nanak Dev Ji, Maharaj. Jagraj Singh bhaji's life is a teaching. We should learn the lesson. Our next breath is not guaranteed. We must stop squandering time and work towards our soul's True Mission. Jagraj Singh Ji could have easily spent the last 5 years building his business and there is no doubt he could have easily been a millionaire by now. He's just that guy. He has a young family and could have done exactly what 99% of the rest of the world do, as he had the exact same excuses we all use. But he didn't choose do to that. He took Hukaum (command) from Guru Ji and disengaged himself from the world of personal material wealth and diligently dedicated himself to Seva, Service of Guru Ji and Guru Ji's Panth. The whole world is a better place because of him. He epitomises Sarbat da Bala. In the process, through Guru Ji, he's actually changed the world. People from all over the world, from all different backgrounds and many different walks of life have managed to transform their lives and bring Guru Ji into their lives. Jagraj Singh's personable manor of speaking, his incredible intellect, his massive heart and genuine love for humanity are all direct blessing from Guru Ji that bhaji has used to serve. He is a true role model and elder brother to me and my two biological brothers. His seva has not only transformed me, but is blessing our entire family. Guru Ji is doing Their work through Jagraj Singh! My favourite thing about Jagraj Singh bhaji is that he's an ordinary man. He's anyone of us. He's an ordinary family man that's been transformed into a modern day living Saint. He is Sikhi. He's the best example I've ever had in my lifetime of how to win this game of life. I pray my children are like him. Any praise of Jagraj Singh bhaji is actually direct praise of Guru Ji as I've said from day one the best thing about Jagraj Singh bhaji is Dhan Guru Sahib Ji. When the I in me leaves, then comes He! Jagmeet Singh

  21. In addition to the post above, I would like to present here the following divine sat bachans in Raag Asa of Dhan Dhan Satguru Amar Das Maharaj: "ਆਪਣੈ ਹਥਿ ਵਡਿਆਈਆ ਦੇ ਨਾਮੇ ਲਾਏ Apanai Hathh Vaddiaeea Dhae Namae Laeae आपणै हथि वडिआईआ दे नामे लाए Glory is in His Hands; He bestows His Name, and attaches us to it." You see, here He is telling us that we do the Bhakti of His Simran, when He creates that desire in us, then only we can repeat His paviter Naam. It is not at all by our merits, or efforts, that we even think about Him. It is all His kirpa. Having said that, this does not mean, we can say: oh only when He wants me to meditate on Him, shall I succeed in doing it, so as I do not derive any liking in doing it, I shall leave it and do some other substitute activities... This is all the play of mind, who just wants excuses in not doing the real thing of our lives, which is rememebering Him through His Simran. It is o.k, if we have not yet that His grace of doing the right bhakti, but, we also know through Guru Sahiban, He is an Infinte Ocean of love and mercy. We are told, He is the bestower of all comforts, everything is in His hands, so why not start knocking at His door to ask a boond of His apaar kirpa. So, what is that knocking at His door? It is sitting in doing His Bhajan Bandagee, even if our minds do not accompany us, and tell Him, Sachay Patshah, I know I am unfit to repeat your Holy Name, but nevertheless, I place myself at your Lotus Feet, and I have heard Your Name ferries across even the stones, so in that hope, knowing myself as being unworthy and a a heavy sinner, so listen to my benti and please shower me with your Gurparsad whenever You think fit, for I am not going to move from Your door, hey Sachay Patshah. Sat Sree Akal.

  22. Usernametaken Pen Jee, when you say you have no desire to do simran or saas saas simran, do you know who is saying this? It is your mind who does not want to do it and find all types of excuses. Usually when one is sick, one does not want to take the medicines because they maybe bitter, but, one has no options, if one really wants to recover from the germs or virus which are the cause of our sickness. One follows the prescribed medicines by the doctor at regular intervals, only then one is cured. We are also sick, we have lost our health, freedom, happiness ...since aeons, since we left our True Father Wahiguru´s house. The mind has been running after maya since then, so naturally it feels suffocated and does not get the taste of Naam, due to being severly attacked by the germs of vikars and maya. But nevertheless, that Wahiguru´s Naam is the real medicine to get cured. Do not worry if you are dry or not feel any motivation in doing it, you just do it, It will go inside and work wonders, just do it and see. You may have apparently lost your love, devotion, desire in doing Bhakti, but thank god, you have not lost your sense of understanding/comphrension. And you know, what the Bani says about the Bhakti of the simran of Naam, just go through Sukhmani Sahib in its starting ANGS.... You see, we are all heavy sinners, we by ourselves will never feel His missing, understand His wadeeayee, His kirpa, and we have nothing to give Him, which He has not already. But there is one thing which you can surely give Him, and that thing which He appreciates it the most, is your time spent in His rememberance. He has not asked us for results, so do not worry. as we are all failures. And He knows that, that is why He does ask us any difficult things, but just our time, like a child who spends his/her time with the Father. We may not see Him, but He is surely watching us, how we spend some time for him in His rememberance, for Him only. And when one does that regularly, what happens then? We invoke His Kirpa on us, which fills us with His blessings, and turn ourselves out from a dry land into a green meadow. This is the secret in spirituality, His apaar Kirpa. We must remain as kookars at His door at all times; when He Kul Malik, thinks it fit, He will open the door and let us in. But what a pity, if ever He opens His door, and by bad luck of ours, we are not there, because we got tired and got up and went away. No no no, that is not the right attiude. If we feel empty, then it is only He who can fill our jholees, but for that, we have to be there, and to be there, we have to stay in His remeberance each and everyday, at His sharan, through His Simran. So never ever say, I have no desire; as desires arise in the mind, and mind is untruth. The soul/jeev atma, is the sikh of the Guru/Wahiguru, and as such, entertains no desires, except that of pleasing the Beloved through Bhakti as its true nature. This is sikhee in a nuthell, as per Gurmat. God bless you. Sat Sree Akal.

  23. We Sikhs (or should I say it's human nature) have a habit of creating a saviour or of pedastalising a person and almost creating a cult following. Jagraj Singh did what everyone else has the ability to do as well and that is connect with the One. If you seen any of his videos, it's one of the things he iterates and re-iterates. If you read Gurbani or read a hukamnama, Guru ji talks of many things but ultimately everything goes back to the source through naam. Guru ji talks in great depth about a lot of things but the ultimately the message is a very simple one. We all have that jot within us. Jagraj Singh does not want you to follow him, all he really wants is for YOU TO TAP INTO YOUR POTENTIAL TO CONNECT WITH THE ONE THROUGH NAAM. (Sorry for the caps lock but I had to emphasise that point) If people don't get that then they are missing the wood for the trees.

  25. Blessings We are blessed and we have blessings to give. Count your blessings and give blessings. Blessings are thoughts filled with great love and kindness, and they can travel long distances. So generously and freely give blessings. Give blessings to people you love, as well as to people you don't get along with. Give blessings and the blessings come through you first, so you become blessed in the process. Bless and be blessed

  26. Sat Sree Akal Usernametaken, I do remember you being here a few years ago. Along with saas saas simran, it would be advisable to do bhajan bandagee at Amritwela. Saas saas simran helps a lot when doing bhakti at Amritwela, cause the mind has not been so scattered during the day with saas saas simran, so it is easy to concentrate at that time. The objective of any spiritual sadhan is to collect the surtee at tisra til, or third eye, or daswan dwar, and the enter into the spiritual realms. And this is only possible by constant and concentrated simran, during bhajan bandagee at one place and stilling the mind with simran. Once you get the taste of simran, you will not need to fight with the mind to get bairaag from moh, maya .... As the saying goes, only attachment can create detachment. This means, it is hard to say I want to get away from this or that, as the mind is constantly running after pleasures. So unless one gives the mind a superior taste, the one of Naam Simran, the mind will not accept anything, and maybe be under pressure for some time seems it is under control, but at the first opportunity, it will show its true colours, and make us more insecure then before. That is why our Guru Sahibans have stressed so much on Naam simran, as it is the only effective remedy to correct the mind and make it pure.(Prabh ka Simran, man kee mael jaae) Plus, Naam simran, has another positive effect on us, it creates strong love and solid faith in us for His Lotus Feet, then no matter, even if the whole world stands against us, our faith shall not waver at all, this is a high avastha, as a consequence of doing the real bhakti as per our Guru Sahibans with Naam simran Our blessings are always with you, now you need to please Guru Jee alone, by doing the bhakti, not as per agayni manmukhs, but as per His wishes. Then the skies shall be wide opened for you, and His blessings shall be showered upon you, What else will you need then? Of course nothing. Sat Sree Akal

  27. AWAKENING..BEING DIVINE 1. Every thought we create, word and behaviour leaves an impression on the soul. This is like a recording on a CD. We need to be aware of our recordings which are uncomfortable for us, or for those around us, and then start creating a new beautiful recording. 2. Situations may not be pleasant, people’s behaviour towards us may not be nice - the only choice we have is what thought we create in response to them. Our thoughts and behaviours will become our recording and will influence our destiny in this birth and future births. 3. We sometimes create thoughts like – “they rejected me; they do not love me or respect me; I care for everyone but no one cares for me. ” These thoughts become our recording. We carry the same sanskar in the next birth and feel rejected even though situations and people are nice to us. 4. People’s behaviour towards us is a reflection of THEIR personality. If someone is abusive, critical, aggressive, manipulative - they are not insulting us; they are bringing their sanskar into action. When we remember this, we will not get hurt and the recording we create will be of compassion, not pain and rejection.
